Obama's cronies at Freddie and Fannie?

Posted: Tuesday, October 07, 2008 9:12 PM by Mark Murray

From NBC's Mark Murray
McCain just went after Obama's ties to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, especially the campaign contributions Obama has received from their employees.

What was missing? McCain mentioning the ties his own campaign manager had to both Fannie and Freddie.

The New York Times reported that McCain campaign manager Rick Davis' firm received $15,000 per month through August from Freddie Mac. That followed other reporting that Davis received $30,000 per month to head up an advocacy group, the Homeownership Alliance, set up to defend Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to protect it from more government regulations.

*** UPDATE *** Obama just mentioned that, although I believe he referred incorrectly to Davis as the campaign chairman, not campaign manager.

Obama has the grasp on the facts.
But Obama made sure he mentioned it
Obama mentioned that McCain's campaign manager IS tied to Fannie and Freddie.

He also reminds us that when Bush came into office we had a SURPLUS.
How can i Email a question?
I am a 35 y/old man with a wife that has decided to stay at how because of the cost of daycare. WHAT CAN The canidates do for me as president not just the middle class  what can u do for me????  lets get personal in this matter
Same ole lies from the old man.
What about Obamas advisor Frank Raines
He should be brought up on charges for Fannie Mae crap.
Without a doubt, if McCain slings mud, it's going to come back at him (from Obama supporters) double-fold -- Not a good strategy. No wonder McCain is nervous and about to hyperventilate.
Isn't it odd that Senator McCain has a problem with Obama's Fannie/Freddie connections, but not his own?
Obama is much more presidential and is clearly on his game. McCain is ok but he looks mean.
Why is McCain assuming that the young man has no idea what Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are??? It's rude, presumptuous and out of touch on McCain's part.
`that OK Tod I know that you ever put them on because you are for McCain.
