Your count of mentions of the current President so far?

Ten.  Six from Obama, three from McCain (each noting his disagreement with a Bush policy), and one from moderator Tom Brokaw.

When will you talk of this -- Obama's outright lie about nuclear power?:

"I start off with the premise that nuclear energy is not optimal. I am not a nuclear energy proponent." (Sen. Barack Obama, Remarks At Town Hall Event, Newton, IA, 12/30/07)
Your count of the number of times McCain has said "my friends"?  If we were playing a drinking game we'd all be drunk!
"secret plans".  I remember "secret plans" Senator McCain.

If you really have a secret plan to get that NIHILISTIC GNAT HIDING IN THE MOUNTAINS OF PAKISTAN TELL PRESIDENT BUSH TODAY!  If you do NOT have a secret plan to get him, please stop claiming you do.  This GNAT killed 3,000+ innocent Americans, he killed innocent Spainards, British, Africans and who knows how many other innocents, too.  He is probably master-minded the killing of more innocents today.

Senator McCain-- if you have a "secret plan" to get this GNAT tell President Bush today!  If you do not, stop pandering to us using this GNAT.
I think this is a good thing.  Listen, most Americans know that the country is in bad shape right now under the current President-we do not need to be reminded of that.  However, it is beneficial to hear how a candidate's position on certain topics relate to President Bush's position
Obama utilizing rhetoric and it's very clear he lacks experience in foreign policy. To tell another country that you are going to attack them is simply ludicrous. He says he can get Bin Laden. Maybe he knows where Bin Laden is hiding. Maybe he should actually try answering a question. He speaks eloquently but the words say nothing.
The question is, why doesn't McCain use Pelosi, or barney frank, or Chris Dodd? I think people hate them more than they do Bush
My goodness McLame is a LITTLE man, in every sense of that phrase.  How diminished in stature, intelligence, morality--whatever you'd care to mention--from 2000.
No mention of immigration reform or anything related to immigration. Why is this? This is important to all Americans but seems to be an issue the candidates are hiding from.
maybe they both said they disagreed with Bush  BUT ONLY ONE VOTED WITH BUSH 90% OF THE TIME--that is Mccain. *
I realize the candidates mention the current president, but really isnt the current president, the way the past 8 years has been alot of the issue of what kind of new president we should be electing? Has the last 8 years been so wonderful that we really want so badly to have more of the same? So it is an issue to be discussed I believe.
That does not matter in our own words, "they HAVE a surplus"! and we don't..... that is the fact here, not the amount.
George is the rabid dog that
nobody wants to look at,
as it shambles down the road,
Poor mad dog, poor mad dog,
"GIT OUTTA HERE YA MUTT".
W has put the nails in McCain's political coffin...the last one was put in tonight.
why do our troops go to another country and we pay .   if they have oil the united states should get it for free.the united states does to much for no return !!!
Yes, the candidates mentioned Bush and their disagreement with the way he has handled many issues over the past term. However, what many seem to forget is that much of our Country's termoil today has been caused by the House and Senate during this same time table. Oh yea, which party has had majority rule over the direction of the Country? Not the Elephants, but the Asses of America have placed us in the current situation. Don't forget that the only politicans with lower approval ratings than Bush are the House and Senate.
I got real tired of hearing McCain say "I know".  He doesn't know everything, and really doesn't know much about the economy.
I think we are supposed to believe that John "can do it", "knows how to do it", "I've, I've, I've."  These problems we're facing require not a different party or philosophy, just someone different, Senator McCain.

He'll bring real bipartisan change--never mind that he has clear disdain for Obama. Oh, McCain's disdain is an isolated case, very specific and not related to one of them being a democat.
I am a single Republican mom of a 17 year old, from Arizona, and this will be the first time in 37 years that I will vote for a Democratic President.  I have not been able to connect with Senator McCain, I'm concerned with his age (tonight he seemed out of breath, and looked older than his years) I don't feel comfortable at all with Governor Palin, even though I love the idea of a woman being in this high office, I don't like the way McCain has taken his campaign negative, he ALWAYS mentions his time in the military (which is wonderful, but does not make him a better American) and I don't understand why Cindy McCain has to be by her husband's side at all times, she come across looking like his nursemaid!  I am voting for Senator Obama because he connects with me, he's very intelligent, and I feel he would do the best job.
Try as he may, McCain will not be able to distance himself from Bush.

Sorry, but a "maverick" wouldn't suckle at the teat of the biggest disaster to ever sit in the Oval Office.
McCain seems to have a solution for EVERYTHING including capturing OB....Hmmmmmm....The country should back in shape within a month of his presidency. Then we can sit back and watch him leap over tall buildings or run faster than a speeding bullet!
