Defense to call Powell at Stevens trial

At the Ted Stevens trial, an FBI agent spent the morning testifying about the senator's financial records, showing what types of gifts he disclosed and didn't disclose.

Prosecutors also revealed conversations between Stevens and an associate which showed Stevens was more involved in the details of the renovations on his house than was previously known.

In an interesting court filing entered into the docket this morning, the defense says it will call former Secretary of State Colin Powell and Sen. Daniel Inouye among its witnesses.

How gratifying to see "Sinister" Sarah's mentor, Ted "Tax Evader" Stevens getting his day in court and seeing the government actually do justice.  I hope that the people of Alaska wake up and don't vote for either ever again.

I saw the Daily Show the other night and they were interviewing some of the intellectual midgets from Wasilla's Main Street.  Now I know where the Neanderthals went to, Wasilla Alaska.  Those people can never be allowed to dictate their ignorant hateful values upon the rest of us.  Just say no to the Wasilla Gorilla!

I can't wait to see "Sinner' Sarah get her day in court.  Hey only two more days before we get to hear about her Troopergate investigation, the real investigation and not her hurried personnel board whitewash cover up investigation.  Now to see the IRS look into her tax evasion of those gifts that are income.

Go Obama/Biden 08/12!
next up, sarah palin!
Calling Powell?

Sounds desperate.

I'm sure he just loves being pulled into the middle of this. That Obama endorsement should be coming any day now.

We all know that we have dirty politicians on both sides of the asile, I am very pleased to see when any of them have to answer for what they have done. I would love to see them all ferreted out and done away with. I am afraid Alaska has more filth than just Stevens, they may need to look at their Govenor, I think she was just begining, feeling her way around,
getting ready to sock it to the good people of Alaska.
They should watch her real close, she has shown that she is not a very honest person.  Good luck to you folks in Alaska, hope she hasnt got you to bad already.

marty
Colin going to take another hit for the team?
Powell, hope you remember the UN address you made, and respond accordingly.

Oh, you can just ignore the the summons like all the other Repukes do!

Who, me, testify?  NOT!  Wink, Wink!
I wanted to agree with Eric about the Daily Show interview with the folks of Wasilla, Ak.  None of them should ever be allowed to breed again as there seems to be a common mutant gene in all of them.  It is a leathal combination of cold and alcahol and what it will do to a persons brain.
Interesting.  I think they used Colin Power enough to cover up their bad behaviors. They have tried to take his itergrity, and use it for thier benefit.  I hope Colin Powell, doesn't get sucked in again.
Ms Pailin is probably regretting that she didn't blink an eye and said yes to be the running mate of McCain. Now she and her first dude husband are into the kind of scrutiny that she most likely never anticipated. Oh I forgot she is a pit bull with lip stick on, so no worries then huh!
I'm the last person to be tagged a conservative (or a Republican for that matter) or soft on corrupt politicians but I happen to know Ted Stevens and some members of his family and the last thing he has ever been interested in is feathering his nest.  Getting benefits from the Federal govt. for Alaska, well that's a different matter.  But from his standpoint, the Federal govt. owns so much land in Alaska the state is not free to develop in the way most other states are able to.
colin powell is a war criminal. he was too busy allowing prisoners to be tortured to know anything at all about ted stevens shenanigans in alaska.

the defense just wants to call high profile people to influence the jury's perception of things.
