Those McCain Wisc. rumors

From NBC's Chuck Todd
Despite swirling rumors that the McCain campaign's days of full court press in Wisconsin may be numbered, NBC confirms that the Republican nominee's team has bought ad time in markets there next week.  But the RNC's independent expenditure arm has stopped its efforts in the Badger State, as well as in Maine, where McCain hopes to snag one of the state's electoral votes.

The RNC's ad cash is already flowing into markets in Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, Ohio, Indiana and Pennsylvania.  And newly added to that list in the home stretch to November 4th: battlegrounds Colorado and Missouri.

I don't think McCain is dumb enough to give up ANOTHER state. Wait, who am I talking about again...

Any word on how much $$$ Johnny Mac has left?

Frankly, I'd love to see Team Obama start making visits and stepping up advertising in states like Georgia and Arkansas and really start thinning McCain out even more. Also, it'll be interesting to see if and when the RNC starts cutting its losses with McCain and focuses on shoring up the Senate, when the Dems are starting to sneak up on 60  seats and a filibuster-proof majority.
It must pain McCain to have to leave these states.  After all, when he was a kid, those states were still cooling off from the big bang.
For Chuck Todd: Please apprise your journalists and commemntators that John McCain is 73 years old, not the 72 years they have all been reporting--until today, when they shaved another year away, reporting this old-disgruntled-irrisacle-not-fit-to-lead aged old man as 71 years old.
What idiots - to pour MORE ad money into a state where you're down by 19.

No campaign this dumb ever deserves to win.
Living in WI, I haven't heard a peep out of the McCain campaign on TV or radio for quite some time.  Maybe I don't watch "their" stations.  Possibly, he's written off my community? lol.  His commercials just tick me off anyway.  Of course, I'm ashamed to admit, I believe the "Arab" comment came from WI.  Tisk tisk on my fellow voters....Gotta go make some calls.
How come no fundraising numbers have been talked about lately?  I can't imagine that McCain has too much money on hand these days.
The RNC is having to defend Missouri! The Obama/Biden train is picking up steam! So long McCrusty and Sideshow Sarah!
Mccain says he has Obama where he wants him........but seems to be waving the white flag of surrender in many places!!
TALK OUT "DEFICIT SPENDING", JOHN JUST GOING FOR BROKE !
Wonderful. Exactly what I want to see, more negative campaign ads that treat me like I'm an idiot with no internet access. The RNC is not welcome in MO with all of their "pants on fire" ads. I sincerely hope it back-fires on them and turns off more voters here. Please go to the non-partisan FactCheck.org any time you see a negative ad on either side. Be informed.

Obama/Biden '08
So McCain is done trying for WI but why does he think he can still carry PA when he is clearly down by double digits. He has a better shot at NV than PA. Bad strategy.
Hopefully, the ads and discussion will be about the economy, the middle class, global warming and our two wars.  But a question.  If the press considers Mr. Ayers and Rev. Wright worth discussing (and I don't), why is there no discussion of Senator McCain's connection with William Timmons, and Timmons connection to Saddam?
As a Packerlander, I don't really care if McCain pulls out or not. He's consistently down in the polls here. If he keeps wasting money here, then he'll have less to spend on the increasingly smaller number of states he can win. However, pulling out of here, combined with hsi pull out in our neighbor to the East shows how blue the Great Lakes region is becoming. If Obama can win Ohio, and make Indiana competitive, then the blue wave can begin to spread from three fronts (Northeast, West Coast, and Great Lakes).
The McCain camp, if they choose to be wise, will skip the negative attack ads. The McCain camp's should have a clue about overwhelming effects that impact not only our domestic economy, but the global market as well.  US (we Americans) are worried about our financial future and are looking for answers.
McCain should say where he will get the money; hopefully not .

And they should  drop lying Sarah Palin or control her rabid.

McCain = more of the same.
Nobody but Obama/Biden

Battleground states are becoming Obama/Biden states. Judging from the polls (including local/state ones), the number of bumper stickers and yard signs (17 Obama/Biden ones and 1 MacCain/Palin in the 6 blocks between my daughter's house and mine) the battle in the "battleground" state of New Mexico seems to be about over - and Obama/Biden appear to be the victors - which makes all New Mexico residents victors as well!!
Yeah, the cheese-heads want Obama. He'll have us standing in line for free blocks of cheese once he implements his absurd economic policies.

Wisconsin stands to make a load of cash off that gov't deal, but wait! You better not make TOO much cash or Hussein will say it's not fair, then tax you and give it back to the cheese recipients.

It doesn't matter that you invested for extra cows to meet increased demand, that you bought feed for those cows, that you woke up at o-dark-thirty to take care of those cows and that farm. If you get rewarded for your hard work, WE ALL GET REWARDED!

Vote for HUSSEIN for UNDESERVED CHECKS IN THE MAIL! WOOHOO! (Are my eyes becoming slanted, because this is starting to feel like China!?)

FIGHT, MCCAIN, FIGHT!
Mccains toast...if they have to amp up their efforts in those states it is all over but the hanging chads...

All of his and Doles ads here in NC are dark and negative...they attempt to paint Obama as less American and a radical...

Mccain and the republicans have nothing left in the tank but fear itself..they act like a bunch of chicken littles with their constant screeching about 'security' and boogeymen
Unfortunatly McCain is going to lose...too many uninformed voters...so I have an idea...why not just call the thing now, pump all that campaign money (from both side, including Obama's foriegn cash) into the economy with stimulous checks...Its stupid that people are pumping this much money into a lost cause when more and more people could use the money.
Dont think there is any hope for the old geezer and the Gov. Gal., If there is a shot in hell then this country is beyond help, we will be  headed downhill fast with no breaks. The crash at the bottom is called a depression, the people in this country have no idea how to do without so we can expect a all time high crime rate an all time high suicide rate. People living in the sreets and begging on the streets. Obama
for President

Obama/Biden

I love it that they are having to spend money were they shouldn't have to. They should be use to it from spending so muuch money in places were the shouldn't have been. Hey Repulicans you may want to pad you flank with dollar bills too. OBAMA*BIDEN
Each day smacks of "throwing in the towel".  It is generally conceded that Obama has a near lock on 264 electoral votes and needs only ONE of theBush red states to win the election.  McCain keeps pulling out of states and Obama needs to do the same. Obama needs to concentrate on only Virginia and Colorado.  Either one wins the election...
RNC needs to buy a few cheap pizzas and treat their helpers, thanking them for the losing effort.
McCain/Palin can leave the Badger state we are supporting Obama/Biden ticket 100% so pack it up and head out. It will remain a BLUE state in "08"
Who cares?  Take your ball and go home McCain!

How do you plan on governing a multi-cultural country running a hateful campaign of division?

You can't, you blew it...take a hike!
It will be interesting to see how much of an ad-buy McCain is able to afford these days.  If the RNC is pulling back in certain states to focus on down-ticket races, then all McCain has for back-up are those nasty 527's.  We already know that their tone does not result in better polling for Senator McCain.

Decisions, decisions.
Indiana... maybe Missouri, but that's it. The rest are going blue.

I am not shedding a tear! That's for sure! The McCain-Palin ads have been full of lies, misinformation, and have been an attempt to portray Obama as a terrorist. Their ads are a real joke!
Mr McCain seems to have painted himself into a corner
In order to reach 270, Obama needs just ONE of the many states that are considered toss-ups right now.... and he's currently already AHEAD in all but one!

It's over for McCain. His primary concern right now should be ensuring that his reputation doesn't sustain permanent damage (more than it already has) as a result of the type of campaign he's been running.
Playing right into Obama's hands. Obama's strategy from the start was to make McCain defend the states where he SHOULDN'T have to defend at all - solid red states. Seems to be working to perfection, doesn't it? Look at how these two have run their campaigns to see how they would run our country. I'm voting for "that one"; how about you?   Obama/Biden '08/'12
More attacks ~ more of the same.
Spend all you want McLame.....it going to be beautiful seeing what once was red become blue. But fret not John, I hear they are hiring greeters at WalMart (baggers too if your "maverick" sidekick is so inclined).
Good Riddance John McCain From Waukesha Wisconsin. We won't miss you.
They are wasting their money in Pennsylvania, Obama has been consistently well ahead there for quite some time.
Goodbye McCain/Palin . . . the fact we in Wisconsin hate Illinois drivers isn't enough to make us choose you over Obama/Biden.  Nice try.  We cheeseheads remain progressive at heart.

Wisconsin never really knew ye!
Just another "erratic" move by the McCain campaign. They should have known going in that Wisconsin has been trending Democrat for some time now so why did they waste time and resources in that market?

Pathetic!

If Obama loses this election it will be because Diebold rigged the voting machines. The fact that McCain is playing defense in states that Bush won and should be safely in his column tells me everything I need to know about what their internal polls are telling them.

John McCain has served his country honorably and we appreciate his sacrifice but it is time for him to retire while he still has some dignity left. Sarah Palin is a disgrace and the the longer he associates with her the more his name is sullied.
The wheels are falling off John's 'Little Red Wagon'

Make Simple Sarah get out and PUSH, John !!

The Darkness is lifting
The clouds are going away

It's a brand new day

Obama / Biden '08
Hard to believe we are down to counting single electoral votes already!
Markets crashing again...please oh please bring up william ayers and ACORN tonight...America cares about that kind of stuff right now
Poor McWhiner. I guess he will be calling everyone his friend tonight because he doesn't seem to have many left in the RNC.

And I'm not his friend either.  Never have been and never will be.
The RNC can spend as much as they want in Pennsylvania we are going blue 'BIG TIME',
even the 14 year repub representative Phil English is losing to a woman.
Spend boys spend, ain't gonna help Don'tcha know.
The RNC is not as dullusional as McInSane!
I am very glad to here that the RNC's independent expenditure arm is leaving the state of Wisconsin. Here in Wisconsin we like honesty, moving our country forward economically, acting ethically in life, treating all people equally, and uniting all Americans in the cause of peace. The RNC's ads appear to be just the opposite of this and very destructive for all.
Missouri is the reliable swing state.  Again this year it will swing to the winner.  Missouri is the Show Me State and we wait to the end to make sure we know everything prior to voting.  The positive is that Obama will continue to campaign here till the end (versus Kerry who gave up on the state)
I think McCain ought to pull his money out of WI.  I live here and he does not stand a chance.  I'll give him an "A" for effort though.  Kerry won here in 2004 by only a few thousand votes.  I guess McCain thought he could close that gap and come up with a win by disenfranchising voters, but that plan didn't work.

About six weeks ago, both the McCain campaign and the Republican Party of Wisconsin sent some mailers to Deomcrats with cards you could mail in to vote early via absentee ballot.  The problem with that was many of the mailers had the incorrect Clerk's address on them.  If I had sent in the mailer I received and tried to vote using the address provided to me by the campaign, my vote would not have counted because it was addressed to the wrong Clerk.  CBS called to interview me last week about this, but I have not seen the story yet.  What is even more odd about this is I am signed up with the Obama listserve and the Democratic Party of Wisconsin listserve.  My husband is the Republican, yet the mailer came addressed to me.

This story was in a few of the state papers, but not well known.  If I were not so involved in election news I would not have even noticed the incorrect address on the mailer.  Being a Democrat, I would have been suspicious to use information provided by the other side, but others could have easily made a mistake.
FR:  You guys are the worst at updating comments.  If you can't do it right, don't do it at all, GEEZZ!

OBAMA/BIDEN, 2008!
I hope Barack Obama cleans John McCain's clock tonight, and absolutely wipes the floor with the prickly old jerk! Let's put this thing away and be done with it!
Please leave our beautiful state alone!!  You are down by 17 pts and we don't want your poison ads on the TV--we've had enough of you and your incompetent VP pick.
Why oh Why...Is there no media atteniton given to Palin and the Housegate scandal? Why is the 19 year old baby daddy to her daughter not a registered voter? Is Todd & Sarah part of the Independence Party to secede in Alaska? Why is the media afraid of Sarah Palin?
