Biden has a choice to make tonight. Baseball or the debate?

His favored Phils are one win away from their first N.L. pennant in 15 years, but the possible the clincher is being played at the same time as the final McCain-Obama faceoff.

Spokesman David Wade says that the Delaware senator has settled on a solution, however.

"When McCain is speaking, he will switch to the Phillies game," Wade says.

I'm sure he won't be the only person switching back and forth between the two, and I know he won't be the only person tuning John McCain out.

Since the Democratic side seems more tech savvy do you think Joe might just have a Tivo or something like that to record one or the other or both to watch when he has time? I know the dilemma would be harder for the other side because they are just getting used to the abacus.

I think a lot of people are going to skip this debate. I highly doubt there are that many people left undecided, regardless of what they say.

The last two debates were sooooo boring and this one will be too. I think I would rather just catch the highlights on the daily show. Maybe McCain will find "puddles"

what rudeness maybe if he would listen he would here something important as an american we should alway's listen and react with a common sense answer. After all are not the politicans working for us.
Economy are we not the ones that create the revenue by spending our dollors to increase buisness.
Health are we not paying for insurance company's by paying the premimums and they profit from this and what about the one who cannot even afford coverage in some way it still cost us.
War expensive daily but the life of our military protecting the freedom of others and us in the USA they are under paid

He might put his foot in his mouth now and then (relatively speaking...after all, we did just endure 8 years of Dubya) Biden seems like he's got a solid sense of humor. He also seems like someone who is genuine about the direction he'd like to take the country in, and the experience he brings with him to the Obama ticket is extremely valuable.

That being said...Go Dodgers!

As a Phillies Phan, my plan is for the Phightins to get a big lead early, watch the debate, then flip back to the game after and watch them clinch the series.

Since the debate will be played over and over and parsed all week and baseball is now or never, the choice is simple: tape the debate or watch a repeat. A zen koan: if the Phillies lose and you were not front and center rooting for them is it your fault?

Whereas we can be pretty sure Biden will vote for Obama therefore his active presence is not necessary for the win.
