Posted: Wednesday, October 15, 2008 9:50 PM by Sam Go

Pat Buchanan and Rachel Maddow are live blogging the debate right here.

See more of their comments here -- including Keith Olbermann, who says "I don't know about you, but I want to vote for this 'Joe The Plumber' Guy."

McCain continues to use "Numbers" to mislead. He uses the small business income which is not the same as the number of small businesses effected by Obama's plan. One more thing, "Tony the Plumber" has traditionally not spread the wealth around. The bigger "Tony the Plumbers" send the wealth and the jobs over seas.
I disagree with Pat.
I'm an Obama supporter, but isn't it a bit of political sleight of hand for Obama to claim that 95% of Americans will get a tax cut when 33% of Americans already pay no income tax?
Joe the plumber is going to be out of business by the time this election is over.
McCain already seams snide.  It is always in the tone of his voice. They both seemed a little nervous when they started but McCain more so.
Is Pat watching the same debate?
Ok. Small biz - No tax increase. How does Sen. McCain propose to relieve the lower income or marginal families?
Awesome Rachel...you're my favorite now. Tell Pat to get up on here..I want to hear from him. Notice how "spreading" the wealth around is a bad thing to McCain? Unreal...apparently the rich still should get richer. Good call on the Warren comment BO!
That is the what - now where is the how?
Is anybody out there?

I doubt there are no comments yet.
I'm not seeing Raachel's blog up here. Am I doing something wrong?
Is JM starting to get angry already?
McCain is looking a bit panicky

John McCain needs to start living in the 2000's and stop thinking in the 30's and 40's this is a new and ever changing world we live in and we need to be able to roll with the punches, not just stay on the ropes and take punch after punch hoping they punch themself out.
Is Pat watching the same debate?
If Pat says JM won, then we can abe assured that he lost.
Why does sen. McCain always seem angry.  In this day and time we need calm people running this country.
Seriously? Is McCain's negative campaign payback for Obama declining the town hall meetings?  Did I get that right?
Yay! Obama repudiates the "no town hall" defense!
Nowhere but in a political campaign can a military hero with more guts than 99% of the people in the world be reduced to a fumbling bumbling nobody while a smooth-talking, savvy opportunist is raised to messianic status. We get what we deserve but don't deserve what we get.

If the financial world of banking and currency is based on Trust, why do politicians and media insist on pointing fingers and highlighting the untrustworthiness of persons who make the financial decisions?  I've always been told that when you point a finger at someone, you have to remember there are 3 fingers pointing back at you...
JM is just a fool! BO hits back on those stupid stupid town hall challenges!
The "if you wanted to run against President Bush..." line was at least something new.  So far the only thing that we haven't heard in every other debate.
BO ...be aggresive, be be aggresive!
mccain still cant look obama in the face on the domestic terrorism issue. cowardice!!
Why is McCain still mad blaming Obama for his negative ads and using the excuse that Obama would not sit down with him at town halls?  That's irrational.  It just does not justify the inferences that Obama is a terrorist or a traitor to this country.  Enough of the whining!
Why does McCain keep interrupting Barack?
LOL...evil shirts.....THAT ONE 08 shirts!!

ACORN....the one he was a speaker @?
Bob needs to get this debate back on track to what people really care about
Did McCain forget he spoke a few years at a Accorn event
Why is McCain getting away with interrupting Obama so much?
Angry, snarky, delusional and unbelievable!  Are those qualifications for the Presidency?
Does Mcain remember last year when he opened for ACORN?
What, Sara Palin a role model for women? She does not speak for me, I have nothing in common with Mrs. Palin, except for our gender. She is not a Maverick, as they contend, look at the findings from the panel, she abused her power and broke ethical laws. How is that the equivalent of a reformer?
why did not bo bring up sarah palin abuse of power?
I can't believe that Buchanan is watching the same debate.  McCain looks like a spoiled little child who isn't getting the attention he feels like he deserves and can't believe anyone other than himself is right.
McCain seems really scattered in answering these questions.  If I hadn't seen him talking about these same points many other times I would wonder some times what the heck he's talking about.  He's angry, cranky, and nonsensical.
Should MCCain be using the word "Cacamaimy" Doesn't that sound like a grumpy old man's word?
Oh and by the way...don't knock Pat, he's a extremely educated and intelligent human being. I might not agree with him, but I'd love to argue him any day. Plus I bought his book, how about that for bi-partisanship! I love ya Pat, I might not agree, but I love ya anyhow.
Again and Again, the sane thing, he keeps telling Obama will talt with no allied countries without preconditions, that is not the case.  Allies have been asking this, talk, talk.  McCain doesn't event want to talk to Spain, our allied, and by the way, he doesn't know where Spain is, last time mentioned Latin America?
Is it even possible for McCain to give a straightforward answer to a question instead of responding with a negative analysis of what Obama would do?  Give the American people credit for the ability to form an opinion about what Obama would do.  If he can't give a straight answer, we can't develop an informed opinion of him.  The only thing we get from McCain is anger and whining.
