Obama up by 10 pts. in NBC/WSJ poll

Posted: Tuesday, October 21, 2008 6:38 PM by Mark Murray

From NBC's Mark Murray
With voters’ increased confidence in his ability to serve as commander in chief, as well as a majority who now believe he would do a good job as president, Barack Obama has opened up his biggest advantage over John McCain in the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.

With two weeks to go until Election Day, Obama now leads his Republican rival by 10 points among registered voters, 52 to 42 percent, up from 49 to 43 percent two weeks ago.

Obama’s current lead is also fueled by his strength among independent voters (topping McCain 49 to 37 percent), suburban voters (53 to 41), Catholics (50 to 44) and white women (49 to 45).

HOLY FREAKIN' CRAP! NOW THE PEW POLL WITH HIS 14 POINT LEAD AND THE GALLUP 11 POINT LEAD DOESN'T LOOK SO CRAZY AFTER ALL!
This is very encouraging. Obama is also up in a new PEW Poll by 14%... 53-39%.  I hope this means that real Americans are not paying to attention to the sleazy campaign tactics by the McCain campaign.

McCain would rather lose his honor to win a campaign.  Disgusting.
Oh Yeah. I am so doing the happy dance!! Go Obama/Biden!!
This is great news for Mr. Obama. After seeing all this pollls, if Obama does not win this election then its safe to assume that, this country governemt is a sham.
I hope this keeps up until election day, I am really concerned that the Sean Hannitys of this world will come up with a sinister October surprise which will wreck Obama's election..
America needs Obama.
Listening to Race for the White House where the clip of Palin was showed answering a 3rd grader's question about being a VP. Her answer was the the VP has the opportunity to work closely with Congress to shape policy...well, apparently she doesn't know she might need an amendment to the Constitution or perhaps a new Constitution. Even more concerting no one, including David, seemed to remember Palin said the same thing in her debate with Biden.
Great news. I hope this momentum continues through the debate.
That's right Jen... Chris pointed that out on Hardball.

Remember folks.....VOTE!!!!!!!! Just cause these polls look good doesn't mean it is over. We still have to vote. Call your friends, neighbors and vote, make sure they vote and drive them if they need it. But VOTE!!!!
Just let John and Sarah keep talking.  They'll talk themselves right out of the election! No decent human being with an ounce of common sense, tolerance or self-respect will vote for them.  They are the true Anti-Americans...far right, conservative, religious fanatics who only care about people that share their beliefs...totally the opposite of the vision of our founding fathers that laid the groundwork for our great country.

Vote early for Obama/Biden!!
So, has a sobbing David Gregory locked himself in his dressing room and refused to come out?  Maybe another night of dancing with Karl Rove will cheer him up after seeing these un-American poll results.

Let me guess- David's next bout of concern will be "Why can't Obama get above 60%?"; or, "Why can't Obama close the deal with hockey-mom moose-shooters?"
This is good news, but don't get ahead of ourselves. It's a long time until election day. Not to mention I for one do not under estimate the ability of the Rethuglicans to steal an election.
I remember when the media tried to cheat Bush in the 2004 election by announcing that the poles "were now closed in Florida. It's 7 PM." They gave the state to Kerry, conveniently "forgetting" that the Florida panhandle lies in the Central Time Zone. The GOP had to call them and complain. Another effort made by the liberal media to stop Bush, who won the state.
Please people--no complacency. Make sure everyone you know gets out to vote.  Voter suppression is my biggest fear now--don't underestimate the dirty tactics of the GOP.
Polls schmolls.

What's really going on is Obama is kicking McCain's a$$ left, right, up, and down.

Read it and weep, GOPeons!
Dear Senator McCain and Governor Palin:

Thanks for playing.  Here's your copy of the home game and some Turtle Wax.  Please exit stage right.
The polls are nice.  Now we need to get out and actually VOTE.
"Barack Obama is two people ... the soft-spoken manipulator who can sell you the chrome off a trailer hitch ... and the radical socialist in a suit and tie.
Full Moon (Sent Tuesday, October 21, 2008 6:47 PM)"

HMMM...I SMELL AN INTERLOPER. I COULD HAVE SWORN I READ WHERE YOU WERE SUPPORTING BHO? WHICH IS IT?
For goodness sake, quit hoping, worrying, getting all wound up about Obama's chances of winning. Get out there and VOTE, you will feel so much better when you get home.
McCain is screwed the Palin pick has been a disaster for his campaign
Be patient, stay on task, we must keep working for an Obama/Biden presidency.  It's not over, till it's over.  We can't rest until it is.
Wow!  I love it.  But polls smolls.  Get your @$$es out there and vote!  And when you do, put your lawyer on speed dial.  The repugs are cheating in several states, including WV.
Just remember folks that Obama is simply not the person you think he is and you asked for him. If you get him and the nation falls apart, you can only look in the mirror because you have been warned.
This is exciting news, but please don't get complacent. Please vote! I filled out my mail-in ballot last night for Obama/Biden. It felt great!
Hey Jen...Palin answered the question wrong...she said she is the leader of the senate as VP.  Wronggggg.  All her role is to take over if the president dies...and break a tie vote in the senate.  She can make no laws...or anything.  This woman is so stupid.
the beach blanket chick is for obama, ....so much for joe the plumber who looks like mr clean...
A majority of the country is now seeing what many have felt - we are on the verge of electing a transcendent figure who represents the best of America.  Once we've passed bills for health care, long term energy independence, and infrastructure improvement what will Rush et al have to complain about?
