The S word, again

From NBC/NJ's Adam Aigner-Treworgy

GOFFSTOWN, NH – After nearly a week of dedicating most of his stump speech to Joe the Plumber and Obama’s promise to “spread the wealth around,” McCain slightly shifted his focus today to hit Obama harder on his government spending proposals. But before he jumped to the new material, McCain couldn’t forget about Joe entirely.

“Every once in a while, my opponent gives us all a little glimpse of what an Obama presidency would be like in the real world,” McCain said. “And last week his campaign actually found itself on a detour into the real world -- in the driveway of Joe the Plumber.”

Without calling Obama’s plan socialistic himself, McCain prompted the crowd to respond as such by saying that “before government can redistribute wealth, it has to confiscate wealth from those who earned it, and whatever the right word is for that way of thinking,” to which several members of the crowd yelled what they felt the right word was: “socialism.”

On government spending, McCain said that his opponent’s plan requires “150 billion dollars” in new spending, citing amounts of money that Obama has pledged for education, energy, infrastructure and healthcare.

“Does anyone seriously believe that these trillions of dollars are going to come from only the very highest income earners?” McCain asked the crowd of over 2,000 gathered at St. Anselm College. “Even his supporters are skeptical. Democratic Senator Jay Rockefeller of West Virginia said of these plans, quote, ‘There’s not enough money to do all this stuff.’ An influential newspaper called his claims, quote, ‘neither politically nor economically plausible.’ That critique came from the editorial board of The New York Times, and when Barack Obama loses them you know he's gone too far.”

Enough with this socialism crap.  Obama wants to restore the tax rates backed to the levels they were during the Clinton administration and lower than in the Regean administration.  The richest American greed is out of control.
I have been waiting for 4 months for the first believable assessment of Obama's polities via the McCain campaign.  His spin just doesn't cut it!
Beating the same dead horse.

By the way John, what was your plan again? Oh ya, four more years of GW Bush. No thanks.
McCain needs to stop beating that dead horse. Obama owns the TAXES debate. And the bottom line more people would benefit under the Obama plan than the McCain plan.

McErratic has to come up with a new tactic and new strategy because this one is not working. He will have to go to the Thesaurus and find another word for Socialism, Radicalism, Communism.
McCain/Palin is killing the republican party and has led me to be voting for Bob Barr.  I hope every conservative in this country jumps ship and votes for the real conservative running for president.  Liberals are not socialists or anti America.  I don't want a country with just one party.  There's a lot of scary nut cases coming out of my old party and McCain isn't taking charge and telling them to shut up.  I used to think he had some courage.  Now all I think he has is a hunger for power.  Vote Bob Barr if you're interested in taxes and repairing the financial crisis in a conservative way.
Do McCcain and Palin even know what Socialism is? I tend to doubt it.

But to teach them a little about what it means to strive for the common good and to achieve a sense of community in this country (without entering into full-fledged socialism) lets remove the Secret Service protection from Mccain and Palin. Let's have all police who escort their motrocades disappear. Let's tell all ambulances and paramedics to stand down if one or the other is in a wreck or in need of immediate medcical care. Let's turn off all traffic lights and shut down the public water and electric systems in this country. Let's cancel all programs to help children with special needs, veterans and the elderly. Let's tell prison guards to take a vacation and allow prisoners to wlak out the front gates of their prisons. Let's privatize social security and eliminate medicare. And if Palin or McCain ever get to the point where they have to live like your average American let's remove their access to public defenders if they ever need an attorney. And how about teling pur military personnel they can leave the service because we no longer believe in coming together to defend our country. And no longer will the lower ranks of the military be filled with a majority of poor and middle class kids who can't find jobs in this country. And we might as well just tell everyone not to pay their Local, State and Federal taxes any longer because by God we are not a socialist country.

MCcain and Palin have no clue wha tthey are talking about when lying that Obama is a socialist. Obama is for community. Obama is for cooperation and cohesiveness to keep this country stroong and to maintain its status as a world power. Obama is for exhibiting care and concern for those less fortunate as a role model in this world. If McCain and Palin don't want people helping others then let's just remove all those things noted above which are by all definitions a form of social advancement and achievement of a people. Oh, and don't forget to eliminate the thousands of volunteer programs in  this country as well because we no longer believe in assiting and helping our fellow citizens.
Obama wants to reverse the Bush tax cuts for the rich and big corporations

In other words to restore the tax rates of Bill clinton

Does that make Bill Clinton a 'Socialist' ?

John McCain originally OPPOSED the Bush tax cuts
He called them IRRESPONSIBLE
Does that make McCain a 'Socialist' ?

Grasping at straws by a LOSING CAMPAIGN

Bye, Bye John
