Obviously, I've been a staunch supporter of Obama; but from a pragmatic standpoint, of course she should vote for Ted Stevens.  She gets to name the interim Senator if he wins and resigns.  I am surprised they aren't making a bigger deal out of it today.

PS.  Obama's new ad today is really good.  I can't wait for the 30 minute spot tonight.  Bring it on!

Someone in the campaign better be sure and explain to Sarah that her name is the one UNDER John McCain's since she's only the VP candidate.  Otherwise she won't be able to find herslef on the ballot.

please help me understand, if Anchorage Alaska is not backing Palin, if they have had her for Gov. and aren't convienced she is ready for the white house, why are there so many people who have JUST heard of her not convienced? I think there would be so many issues between Palin and, well everyone else if she is V.P. McCain made a bad decision with his V.P pick, it seems he made bad decisions picking his campaign team and he made bad decisions siding with G.W.B. Are we going to continue to let him make bad decisions for us? Guess he could use this money to help prop up the leaning stack he made from the high oil prices. AND BY THE WAY, MCCAIN AGREED WITH THIS GUY 90% OF THE TIME....4 more years guys? Please!

McCain is 72 which means every day Palin is closer and closer to becoming president. Do you guys not see how stupid this is, and how dangerous this is. A woman who has no education, is a creationist, a zealot in relation to abortion, has a teenage daughter pregant, is fighting curruption charges in her state. And lets not mention her disgusting plan to destroy Alaska for Oil.

She neither knows what her role will be an what it should be, she interviews badly and the $150,000 on cloths simply shouldn’t have happened, anyone with any sense about themselves would have said NO. This just shows how curruptable she is and how easily she can be bought by the machine.

And please tell me how and when they plan of ‘cleaning up Washington’? There is a saying ‘don’t bite the hand that feeds you’, neither McCain or Palin have said what their plan is to clean up Washington, this just further increases their lack of organization and planning.

A state govenor does not recieve the classified briefings. They are only brief on where their National Guard is being "Federalized" for deployment.

Alsaka has no control on the federal troops stationed there. with a population of under 600,000 the Alaskan National Guard consist of about 5,000 people.

As to her executive leadership - the Alaskan Legislature is only in session from Jan to Apr of the year
