From NBC's Mark Murray
A new NBC News/Princeton Survey Research Associates International poll shows McCain with an 11-point lead over Obama among likely South Carolina voters, 53%-42%.

Yet that margin is smaller is among registered voters, 50%-44%.

Video: In response to the recent reports of dissension in the McCain camp Sen. John McCain explains that there is always a little friction in any presidential campaign. CBNC's John Harwood reports.

Also don't miss this nugget from Princeton Survey pollster Evans Witt: cellphone respondents tend to back Obama by a greater percentage. "Unlike many state polls during the 2008 campaign, this survey included interviews on both landline phones and on cellphones in South Carolina. Among the landline interviews, McCain holds a 50% to 42% margin. But among cellphone interviews, the candidates are tied: McCain 48% and Obama 49%. Those interviewed on cell phone are more likely to be young and young voters heavily favor Obama."

The poll was conducted from October 25-28, and it has a margin of error of plus-minus 4% for registered voters and plus-minus 5% for likely voters.

woop de do !
...
qne Obama is up by 22% in California

Obama 55, McCain 33 according to the Field poll out today

Obama is leading in all groups except those over 65

Chuck it in, Johnny

John McCain, More of the SAME

The Republican Party has lead America into a DITCH
Win or lose McCain is the man for the job. Immigration and non-workers play a big part in this election, most wanting a free handout as promised by Obama. Add in ACORN's cheating and you have a sure fire winner. And is Obama involved?

Maybe the Supreme Court will have to intervene again.

...and the ones still with a rotary phone clearly prefer the status quo of unfair taxes, out of control spending and a whole lotta faux patriotic flag waving as a substitute for ideas or (gasp)change...
Which makes your headline wrong.  They are tied in South Carolina.
From 80% to 60%

Sarah Palin is giving STUPIDITY and DISHONESTY a bad name

'...Before all this started, her approval rating was almost universally positive with independents,” said Ivan Moore, who often polls for Democrats. “She’s really taken a hit among Democrats and independents.”

Palin’s popularity with Alaska voters has dropped precipitously, from a high of roughly 90 percent this spring — long before she was selected to join the McCain ticket — to an approval rating now of around 60 percent...'
Yeah, we still kinda like our folks white, christian and ignorant down here in the proud south
Well, the residents of S. Carolina must not have a worry in this world as they support a continuation of the diasterous last eight years.
Or is it party over the survival of our country?
Or is it race?
Or are they foolish enough to believe all the
sleeze the republican party is throwing out?
I ask this as cannot imagine any intelligent voter supporting Mccain/palin. Or wanting people of this
caliber running our country.
Just curious.

The surge is working ! The surge is working !
I, for one, am not sorry that I skipped out on Obama's P.D.A. (public display of arrogance) last night in exchange for a nice meal out with friends.  I am sick of hearing Obama talk, talk, talk, and I am disgusted with the media's constant fawning over him...

To me, this election represents a dangerous symptom of America - its willingness to blindly follow an individual and a refusal to hold the media and the candidate accountable for ANYTHING even remotely negative.  I just think that the media has done a severe disservice to the country by refusing to actually report the news and instead serve as a third-arm of Obama's campaign.  It is unpatriotic to allow a candidate for the highest office in the land to skirt issues with talking points and a lack of specifics, which is something at which Obama excels.  My problem is not with Obama per se...it is with this cult-like, blind following and the lack of responsibility the media has shown throughout this election cycle.

Just think about it...if any other candidate besides Obama had made a statement affirming that it is a positive to "spread the wealth around," there would be no way that he American public and the media would have let him just get away with it.  Yet, this is exactly what has happened with respect to Obama.  And there are endless examples of "free passes" that the media has given Obama.  It is just a little troubling to this young DEMOCRAT.
After last nigh those so-called voters next time  really won’t matter  for McCain; since Barack Obama has counterbalanced McCain’s rhetoric (rage ) with last night’s 30-minute TV infomercial. Moral issues could not have been more clearly elucidated. One could truly share his rational; even Joe the Plumber, if he had any sense, Joe the “fake Plumber” could benefit in health care and tax cuts from Obama. Should Joe the “fake Plumber” music business fails or only brings in less than $250.000; he could pay his back taxes. Barack Obama’s unity and respect were his in inclusive language. Despite McCain (nutty) constant rants of alleged Muslim/terrorist ties, socialism, Marxism, etc Barack’s infomercial reassured everyone he’s still the same level-headed, articulate, humane candidate fit to be CIC.
Watch out hot-headed McCain! Obama has real American people too; even in his infomercial with practically every segment of concerns Americans are experiencing.  Joe the “fake Plumber is not the only one with concerns.
The middle class needs tax cuts because middle class shape public opinion and create jobs, and grow family incomes. No more layoffs and outsourcing is what the majority of the middle class wants as evidenced by Obama’s lead in the polls… that would be Joe the nurse, writer, beautician, telephone operator, teacher, manager, administrative aide, baker customer service rep, and Joanne the police woman plus all the other Joes and Joannes.
Be with McCain and get more of the same last 8 years for 4 more years.
Beverly, the decision maker.
Vote EARLY for self and country.
Vote Obama/Biden

Polls do not mean a thing America! Get out, and vote early. If people can help others get to the polls? Please do so! "Remember New Hampshire!"
So now it's big news that McCain looks like he will beat Obama in South Carolina?  What a shocker.  This state is one of the few that McCain will probably win.
This might be good for McCain, but at this point he's going to need more than South Carolina to turn this election around.
Mark, and your point is?
This election is all about turnout.  if the young, minorities, and Obama supporters get to the polls and are allowed to vote, this election may not be close.

if the dirty politics of the McCain campaign keep these people from voting, or if they don't show up, it could go either way.

the future is in your hands.  Get to the polls and make your voice heard in the only way you can, by voting for the candidate who's policies and platform most represent what you believe is the best direction for this country.
I predict an UPSET in NC and GA for Obama.
he will win Montana as well as Nevada, NM, Colorado and Virginia.
McCain is going to get CREAMED tuesday. I can not wait to see MILF and Grampas face when they get HAMMERED.

GOBAMA
Young voters care this time around.  They relate to Barack Obama and they will put down their video games to make it to the polls.  Young voters will offset the   "bubba" and will bring victories in: VA, PA, OH, NC, NV, CO, NM and I believe even in South Carolina.  You heard that here first! I do not believe it will be a late night.  The race will be called when California polls close!
Bada' bing ! Bada Boom !
How did they get cell phone data? I thought pollsters were not allowed to call cell phone users, because the user is charged for the call not the caller.
Can anyone else see this? There seems to be a hole lot of McCain supporters on FR the last few days, they hide behind  cutesy one word names,or the Mickey Mouse , hollywood Calf, kind of stuff, they have become so easy to see.Always following the talking points that Sinner and Bomber have spewed the day before.Always asking the MSM to dig into debunked stories. The constant spew,no real facts, just Rush repeaters.
You media folks are constantly trying to make this a close race.

It is not; this non - sense is just a prelude to the Republicans attempt to steal this election.

Democrats will be out in full force - like never before and the GOP brand and support systems are breaking up.

No way in hell - this is a close election, and IF this election is stolen due to fraud and suppression by the GOP's.

America will never be the great country it once was - there will be turmoil across this country, for years to come.

We will prove to the people that think they own U.S. that they too need to honor the constitution and laws of this land.

That we are not a 3rd world country; were neo –cons think they can just do what they want - at well.

We will fight for our rights and the constitution – that’s the truth.  America will not stand for another 2000 or 2004.

2008 is different and so obvious, that if John McCain wins – we know this was a rigged election and America will pay, dearly.

Guaranteed !

Thank you and GOD BLESS AMERICA
Was Obama expected to make it close in this state? Probably not...but FR has to try to create news, Right?  RIIIIIIGHT.
