PA projected to go to Obama

Posted: Tuesday, November 04, 2008 8:00 PM by Carrie Dann

NBC News declares Barack Obama the projected winner in Pennsylvania. Unless another blue state flips to Republican hands, McCain now must win every remaining battleground state to overtake Obama.

VIDEO: Early election results suggest that some polls were correct. NBC's Chuck Todd reports.

Also, a stinging loss for McCain in New Hampshire, where McCain's primary victory in January jumpstarted his flagging campaign in early 2008. NBC projects the Granite State, where Obama lost his own primary bid to Hillary Clinton, to go into the Democrat's column tonight.

Obama is also the projected winner in New Jersey, Massachusetts, Illinois, Maryland, Connecticut, Maine, Delaware, and the District of Columbia.

Tennessee and Oklahoma go to McCain.

what are you gonna do when the election is over? back to Britney Spears?
How is it that you can call this without a single vote having been counted? If all the networks call the results without vote counts, then why did I bother today? Let's just have you guys call it and save the money.
How can anyone decalre a winner in any staet that the votes have not been counted?
NBC DOESN'T KNOW CRAP.
why hasn't the early voting been included in the numbers tonight?
How did this happen in the great state of PA?
why hasnt joe the plumber been arrested for tax evasion and operating with out a license? go pa!
Because PA is a great state!
HOW HOW HOW ... how do you guys "call" a state with just around 1000 odd votes counted in ONE COUNTY?

Come on - please let the ACTUAL VOTES count - not your "expert" judgment.  I think it should be made ILLEGAL to "CALL" an election result until say at least 50% of the votes have been COUNTED.

The MEDIA cannot play crystal ball or inventor on a key issue like this.

- An Obama fan
They used exit polls.  The exit polls are heavily in favor of Obama by a margin of over 10%, so it's a real safe bet that Obama has PA.
Exit polls have been proven to be "Not" exact. Historic or not I think this is doing the electorate a diservice and our media must help to stifle the urge to create a story until all the facts are in!!
If we believe the exit polls,we will be governed by democrats in the white house, the senate and the house.  How will they deal with having no one to blame for their screw ups?
How did the United States get ruled by the news media... go China.
