From NBC's Mike Viqueira
Three House Democratic sources confirmed Rep. Rahm Emanuel has been offered a Chief of Staff job with an Obama White House and is currently "agonizing" over whether to take the job.

This is not the kind of person Obama wants to start pulling into his circle.  He is part of the past, practices a bad, hate-driven brand of politics.  I hope I do not regret my vote...
May be part of the past but you need someone with gravitas & experience in that role.  Its not like you'll get  John Spencer to fill the job...
this is scarey--Our world is about to drastically change--woe will be many of us
Agreed, this is a step in the wrong direction for the country if Obama wins tonight. Emanuel is the epitome of politics as usual.
holy crap......if this is indicative of who Obama will surround himself with...Civil War II.
I did not vote for this guy. Hope Obama doesn't pick him.
no president has won an election in the past 75 years without the jewish backing.  this is proof that obama buckled to them to get their backing and now has to choose at least one to put in his staff somewhere prominent.
I am surprised that Obama is starting off with him cronies from Chicago first thing.  I am with you Brian.
Response to Brian above ^  three UNNAMED sources, I call that unsubstantiated RUMOUR, pal.  Don't panic, Barack's SMART.

and what did you expect....
Selecting Rahm Emanuel simply confirms that the progressive movement within the Democratic Party is DOA. Corporate ownership is confirmed and the only difference between the two major parties are names of their corporate benefactors.
Ugh, I hope he doesn't take the job. Like Brian, I'm hoping I don't come to regret my vote
If you voted for Obama, I am sure you will at some point regret your vote. Not if, but when. It is only a matter of time. He has not shown he understands what makes this country great. I don't know that McCain really knows either but I think he's closer to it than Obama. 2 years from now, congress will turn back to GOP because we will be in a  worse economy than now if the dems do what they say they want to.
I like to see new uncorrupted young men and women in Obama cabinet.
Great choice.  Rep. Emanuel is bright, tough and focused on what is good for the American population.  As someone from Chicago he has always made me proud.
Why is Emanuel so bad? I don't know him beyond his role in the bailout bill, which I didn't support, but he was the one guy talking who was clear in his explanations. He seemed to have a command of the situation, someone else referred to it as gravitas, that few others on the stage had. I got a good impression.
the only smart thing he did was fool america now the mob will rule he will even find a place for the corrupt minister just wait the fun has just started in america we will all pay for this fool being Prez.
move on .or sucks just like obama
this is the firsdt time in my adult life I can really say america SUCKS!
Look people ... think!! The polls are still open on the West Coast and now this has come out.  Do you really think the Dems would leak this while votes are still being casted.  Also, regardless of who you vote for, there will always be some decision of theirs you don't like.  Especially those of you who voted for BUSH twice!!!!  Barack is the right choice.  This is coming from an active duty military member!
Does it really matter which socialist the head Komrade surrounds himself with? I'm going to schedule my emergency appendectomy for six months from now today
well I already ordered my "Don't blame me I voted for McCain" t-shirt!
Instead of crying like a bunch of damn babies - how about you pull up your boot straps roll up your sleeves and find a way to work with the other side already - ITS OVER - lets get back to work and give things a chance
let the self-feeding begin...Barack promised the world and now comes the hardest part...actually governing.  I can not wait to sit back and watch!!!!
