From NBC/NJ's Matthew Berger: Palin is expected to leave for Alaska Wednesday afternoon

"Can Sarah Palin go home again?" asks the Anchorage Daily News. In the 68 days since Alaska's governor began her run for vice president, things have changed on the home front. Some of her former allies are fuming, and former enemies are lying in wait. Public perceptions of the governor have also changed. Has the governor changed as well? Questions about Palin's future began to circulate at Alaska's Election Central on Tuesday night almost as soon as the national election results came in."

Palin, in one of the more obnoxious moments in her acceptance speech, didn't seem to know what a community organizer does. I guess she does now.

Alaska can have her back now.
Hit the road Jack, & don't you come back no more...no more...no more...no more.Hit the road Jack & don't you come back no more!
Good Riddance!
If Sarah Palin is the future of the Republican party, then the Republican party has no future!
Sarah who?
I am sooooooo glad that Obama won!!! This is a new day in amaerica. We have come down along and hard road to get to this point but WE DID IT!!!

And now that idiot Palin can go back to Alaska and Shut the H E double Hockey sticks up!!!

Maybe She can follow behind her husband and split Alaska from the "lower 48" and she can run for President in her independent Alsaka! Lol!!!

I love it!!!!
Sarah can always fall back on her journalism degree, if she ever learns how to string together a coherent sentence.

Good bye, Sarah - you are the scariest thing I've ever seen in US politics.
I for one feel that Sarah Palin was thrust into this campain. She a Senator did give cause to celebrate at the Republican Convention. However, that soon changed when either by her own or others she chose the path in which she was the attacker. My vote changed due to several things. When she could not even answer simple yet trivial questions asked of her then turn the blame on others, her lack of common sense on several occasions made me ask "WHAT IF"? Mrs. Palin above all us tried to divide a country with HER speeches (PRO America, MORE America, This Part of America)her fear tactics will go down in history for being the worst campain. I feel as well as a lot of people will feel she was the deciding factor. She will have to explain this to her children that she tried and FAILED to divide our Country
please, Sarah, go home.
Who cares?  I just want her to go away and never show her face again.  Obama for the win!  McBush gets the finger!
Here's a possible Palin scenario:

1) Ted Stevens holds on to win his senate spot.

2) He announces that he's willing to resign, but only if Palin names herself as his successor.

3) Palin ascends to a national position, setting herself up as one of the leaders of the opposition and the front-runner for 2012.

Of course Palin could name herself regardless, but by having Stevens demand that she do it she's made to appear less self-serving.  She could at first protest, but the people of Alaska would push her to take it.
Everyone exclaims 2012, but I think it'd be best for her to fade into the dust and enjoy a peaceful life. Pitbulls have shorter life spans then politicians.
If Palin is going back to Alaska, it is not a minute too soon.  This woman who was trusted into the national spotlight was an embarassment to her party and to the position she ultimately was seeking.
When I was a kid my parents always taught me to study before I speak, clearly this woman is not a person that documents herself regularly and is basically ignorant just like so many americans are.
Send the Wicked Witch of Alaska back to the deepfreeze!  Now Alaskans need to show the rest of us they are not so clueless to allow such a grifter to steal their tax money shipping her brats around without permission.  Impeach Palin and do it yesterday!

"Sinner" Sarah has been convicted guilty by the American people as the most disgusting incompetent ignorant VP candidate of all time!  If the repugnant ones are smart they will drum her out of their party.

She will never have a future down here in the lower 48.  She drove my 37 year old Daughter from being a Hillary supporter to a rabid McCain/Palin hater and thus a big supporter of Obama.  Even my two Granddaughters hated her, her wicked ways and hateful screech.

Yes We Did!
Palin is an embarrassment,
Please go home - enough of her hate and division. Question being now is "how can you keep her down on the farm now that she's seen Parie".  Maybe she can fit back in in Alaska, the rest of the 49 don't want her.
I'm sure she can go home. People are angry and disappointed with her. However, as history has it, they will forget, and she will unfortunately get reelected. Or maybe not. As she said, she has nothing to lose.
Not sure what she is going to do, but she needs to polish up her act.

Her reckless behavior gives women a bad name and I am embarrassed for her!

She did not have to carry on in that manner, but as I have stated often...the status quo men was not going to put up with her ahead of them for the next 4 years.

Besides, that was an awkward appearance last night with Palin on stage with McCain.  That entire scene is troublesome, but even moreso with how the McCain camp handled Palin.

Oh well, if she returns in 2012, we will be out in force again to vote against her.
I GUESS SARAH IS SORRY FOR ALL THE NEGATIVE AND HURTFUL STUFF SHE SAID ABOUT BARACK
So Tucker Carlson hopes that an Obama presidency can tolerate disagreement with his policy decisions ( which I feel it will).  What does he think happened during the past 8 years?  People disagreeing with Bush policies were vilified and labeled as unpatriotic.  Where was this hope during that time of divisiveness and downright meanness?
I'm looking forward to her going back to Alaska so that we do not have to hear any more of her sickening, disgusting, and ignorant rhetoric.  The Republic party is in TOTAL shambles now and they need to completely re-think their strategy going forward.  If they honestly think that someone like Palin is their hope for the future, then they have no hope whatsoever.  I think the majority of Americans are fed up with the Karl Rove tactics....he may have gotten the Republicans 8 years of rule, but I believe he has also done incredible, possibly irreparable damage to his party.
HA! Even Alaska doesn't want Palin! She should change her name to Natasha and move to Russia.
This will be interesting to watch...after the temper tantum she will probably have, (I hope she doesn't fire anyone else) she will have to settle down to being Gov. again...can she do it??? She tasted the limelight...after all she has "Joe the Plumber" to help her get back on the national stage...at some point...heaven help us!
McCain lost to Obama thanks to the left wing media who gave Obama a free pass. The media attacked Palin and McCain not their message sad the American people are on a ride they will not soon forget hanh on to your seats as the motto says "Let Freedom Ring " ha Obama and the Liberal left plan on taking that all away from us.
I would have voted for the pit bull before I voted for palin.
If the Republicans want to lose anything, just have Gov. Palin there! She is a criminal worst than Ted Stevens and Alaska politicians are opening the door for convicted felons to run for office! If they can do it anyone can! The law is the law right.....
I am just glad she doesnt have a shot at being the President.  God Bless America!
I hope she goes back to Alaska, and I hope they vote her out of office there. For what I seen and heard from her she is very arrogant. And you can see that in her personallity.
i liked her. i thought she was exactly what was needed at the time, however i never thought that she had a chance nor mccain. thats politics. she will mend the fences and get back to work. my family and i feel like we were fortunate to get to know her. she has an awesome family and i wish them the best. good luck to our new president. may he be wise and healthy throughout his days in office. even though i voted rep. i am still proud to call him my president. good luck Mr. President.
And they very well should be... She looked as if she was going to break down last night as Sen. McCain gave his speech and there was a lot of booing her mixed with a few cheers as his thanked her. She should be impeached, she is a liar among the least of things and Alaska should show the rest of the United States that they can stand up for what is right too!
Sarah Palin has demonstrated her ineptitude, ignorance and arrogance and reduced the Republican ticket to the lowest common denominator. By selecting her as his running mate, John McCain insulted the intelligence of an entire nation and actually expected us to take it seriously. He should be ashamed and she should get a job selling R.V's somewhere. I would be scared to death if I lived in Alaska!
Who knows about the future of Sarah Palin.  I don't blame her for the loss of John Mccain.  However she didn't give him the boost that he had hoped. Of course we saw a jump in the ratings from the RNC.  But not enough.  And for Sarah Palin I think she will fade into the private politics of Alaska.  We probably will see her as Senator or something but not the presidential candidate that John Mccain is.
Sarah Palin is going to be the next Senator of Alaska.  She will replace Stevens as he will bow out as Senator. This is a move to give her the training she needs to run for President 2012.
Governor Palin did a remarkable job, considering everything. She was the designated pit bull attack dog, and she delivered. However, she was in way over her head. She does not have the experience neccesary to be second in command. Senator McCain and his advisors should have chosen a running mate with years of experience and he would be President elect McCain today! I think Sarah Palin cost McCain many, many, many votes.

If Stevens' senate victory is certified, I doubt very much he will pe permitted to serve. Senate leadership on both sides of the aisle have already said a convicted felon would be expelled (assuming he doesn't resign). If that's the case, Gov. Palin will be have to call a special election within 90 days of the vacancy and you got to believe she will run for the seat herself. Even though her approval ratings are no longer over 80%, the latest polls in Alaska still but her around 65% which is more than enough to win a special election. If she really does have Presidential ambitions for 2012, a 4-year stint in the Senate will go a long way towards filling out her resume.
He spoke very nice as Palin fought back the tears...
She woke up racism in the base among the least of things and she is a pathetic liar! McCain would have won if had another running mate!!!!
Her first order of business is to ensure that her costly wardrobe is confirmed for charity and then see about adding a new wing to her home for her pregnant daughter (soon-to-be-married) and new son in-law.  After that, take a nice break and take in the view from her backyard (and Russia on a clear day).  After a good week or so off from the hectic campaign she should check in with her dear friend convicted felon, Senator Ted Stevens to see how he's doing.  Maybe some moose sightings or fishing after that.

Not that it would be a particular boon to Alaska, but it would be useful to the rest of us for Palin to engineer a seat in the Senate via the demise of Stevens' Senate career.

Then, the rest of us would have 4 years to keep an eye on here.  Might be enlightening.
She's had her 15 minutes of fame. She should go back to hunting from helicopters.
I think this article might be a little wishful thinking on behalf of a liberal news reporter.  The truth is, Sarah Palin scares liberals to death.  She will have the next 4 years to perfect her message and tighten her interviewing skills.  Plus, Barack Obama has a hard road ahead to convince the voters that he is capable of handling the job as Commander-in-chief as well as managing an economy in a downward spiral.  In a way, it will be refreshing to see liberals blaming someone else instead of Bush for the worlds ills.

Can Sarah go home, God I hope so.  What would the lower 48 do with an ice bitch like that.
One can only hope she goes home, but it's unlikely.  She's too marketable.  She'll be back and by that time, little girls will have played with Caribou Barbie dolls and she could seem wonderful.  Hopefully America will continue to vote her away from offices and she'll go home and raise her many kids, but it will require vigilance, because she's a fascist both waiting and wanting to happen.
It's amazing to me that so many of those who supported mc/palin are also those from states with the worst education systems, (and high percentage of home-schooled) and also whose comments were the ones most filled with ignorance of the candidates and the process, racism, sexism and hate. So many of you on the right are nothing more than crackpot zealots and ignorant fearmongers.  While McCain may not be one of you, Palin certainly is. Why don't you all move to Alaska? Although I read in the news (oh yeah -you folks don't DO that do you?) that she may not be so popular up there any more either. So just stick with your false gods and go back to your dark blind caves.

Sara Palin was a JOKE. She was a disgrace to anyone with common sense or reason. For the MCLIAR to think that disgruntled HILLARY voters would flock to a woman who stands against EVERYTHING women have fought for in this country is inexcusable. John McSame got what he deserved. He ran a horrible and hurtful campaign and history will judge his pick of PALIN as the death-nail!
And the wolfs, Elk and Moose...  All waiting for their chance to take a swing at her.  I bet not even the hockey moms are going to back her now.
Sarah Palin: Go Home and stay Home!! Stupiest politician who is a beauty contestant with no ideas. Only McCain was dumb enough to choose her. If he didn't, he would have won. She said Obama had no experience. She is worst. How dare she talked about her experience when hers is lame. Just go back to Alaska and don't bother going for any Republican national ticket. She is a disgrace to all women and Republicans.
Sarah has to go home and face friends and foes alike. It is my sincere hope that this run for the Vice Presidency will have opened her eyes to the reality of how things operate in the 'lower 48'. That bullying, manipulating, and lying are not impressive characteristics to have as a public servant. I truly doubt that she will be re-elected as the Alaskan Governor because Alaska spoke clearly on November 4, 2008.
