M. Obama, daughters to visit WH

Posted: Tuesday, November 18, 2008 4:04 PM by Domenico Montanaro

From NBC's John Yang
The Obama transition office and First Lady Laura Bush's office confirms that Michelle Obama, her mother, Marion Robinson, and her two daughters, Malia and Sasha, will be visiting the White House, their new home, this afternoon.

Michelle Obama didn't want to take the girls out of school when she and the President-elect visited last week and Laura Bush invited Michelle Obama back when the girls could come.

The First Lady's office says there will be no photo released.

They better not get any dirt on the furniture. That  stuff is expensive.
Laura Bush is just a classy person.
sweet,...but is this news?

That's a shame.  Would be nice to have a pic of the "First Sistah", First Mother, and the First Daughters for posterity.

63 Days Until Inauguration Day!

I am personally not kid crazy, but Obama's girls are tooooo cute!  I would love to see the look on their faces when the get the tour!!  I'm looking forward to seeing Malia and Sasha grow up - with Michelle and Barack guiding them I have a feeling they will become strong, smart independent successfull women.
I like Laura Bush.  She has been a redeeming grace in the White House during her husband's (I don't want to mention his name) administration.

= = = = = =

IT THRILLS ME TO NO END JUST THINKING ABOUT PRESIDENT-ELECT OBAMA AND HIS FAMILY BEING THE NEW RESIDENTS OF THE WHITE HOUSE !!!!!!!!!!!!!
To be sure, Barack Obama is the first person of color to be elected president, but NOT the first black, since his mother was caucasian.

The first black president has yet to be elected.
It will be good for the girls to have Grandma in the White House!

Hey Susan while you're waiting do us all a favor by trying holding your breath!
I bet those girls are very excited to see their new digs. I hope Mrs. Robinson decides to join the family in DC. Her grand-daughters would benefit greatly from her presence.
Now Ms. Obama is using her kids to find another way into the White House. Just can't wait until Jan. 20th. Don't wear out your welcome. The media will do that for you.

I can hear Laura asking GWB ..."guess who's coming for dinner?"
I'm not a big fan of her husband, and I fail to see what she see's in him, but Laura Bush is a class act.
"The First Lady's office says there will be no photo released."

In a nod to Barbara off course.
Mr. Obama doesn't have to use her daughters to get into the White House. She already has the lease on the place. You just a hater. Where you living? Mrs Obama is a classy woman. Hater
The wrong Bush ran in 2000 and 2004... Laura would have done a much better job than W.

"... And here's to you, Mrs. Robinson." (Sorry, I couldn't resist.)

Seriously, here's to outgoing First Lady Laura Bush, for her truly gracious invitation, and to incoming First Lady Michelle Obama, for being such a class act, too. If only all of politics could be half that civilized, who knows? we might just get more done.
Helen - get over yourself. I don't hate anyone, but you should look in the mirror ... and there is no lease on the White House. It's Bush's until Jan. 20th. Remember that.

All my best.
I will just echo what others have said.  Laura Bush has so much class, as do Michelle Obama, her mother and her daughters.  I wish there were a photo being released because I would love to see them all together.
