2010: White's Senate bid

Posted: Monday, December 15, 2008 9:08 AM by Domenico Montanaro
Filed Under:

The Hill's Reid Wilson: "Houston Mayor Bill White (D) will run for the Texas Senate seat that will be vacated by Kay Bailey Hutchison (R), according to a source with knowledge of White’s plans and local media reports." More: "The three-term mayor, who won reelection in 2007 with 86 percent of the vote, gives Democrats a top recruit in the Lone Star State, something the party lacked this year when Sen. John Cornyn (R) won reelection by a wide margin."

"Less than a week after being reappointed as the top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee, Rep. Pete Hoekstra (Mich.) will announce that he will not seek a tenth term in 2010, according to a source with knowledge of the decision."

A Democrat won big in yet another one of the most corrupt cities in the country? Gee, it kind of sounds like, Chicago.
There may not be a Republican elected in Michigan in 2010. Even if the Michigan republicans vote for an auto bail-out.
Let's hope that White can take a seat from the repugnant ones in the heart of texas, now that would be funny.  The wicked mary kay witch has been a disgrace in the Senate.

Free the Iraqi Reporter who threw shoes at the bushwhacker!
Now all we need is for White to declare himself the Green candidate while he sits right in the middle of all those refineries. White can run on the platform that he's going to get rid of the oil rigs. Mr. 86% would remain the same, 86% of Texas would vote against him.
