Reid makes pitch for Kennedy

Posted: Tuesday, December 16, 2008 4:11 PM by Domenico Montanaro

From NBC's Domenico Montanaro and Mark Murray
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is recommending Caroline Kennedy for the seat to-be vacated by Hillary Clinton in New York once she is named Secretary of State, First Read has learned.

The Nevada senator called New York Gov. David Paterson last week to voice support for Kennedy to replace Clinton.

(Hat tip to The Washington Post's Cillizza.)

And here's what Reid told Nevada political journalist Jon Ralston:
REID: “She's 52 years old. I've spoken to her. She was part of a vetting process for vice presidential choices for Obama. She's lived in government and politics her whole life. I think it would be a tremendous thing. ... We have a lot of stars from New York.  Bobby Kennedy. Hillary Clinton. I think Caroline Kennedy would be perfect."

RALSTON: “So, are you going to call the governor of New York and say, “’She's fine in my book?’”

REID: “I already have.”

This is amazing the Press and especially the MorningJoe Crew was read to destroy Jesse Jackson Jr. and come to find out Jesse has been working with the Fed for quite sometime now and that doesn't mean since last week.

Maybe Morning Joe, the Press and the CNN and MSNBC crew should just take a deep breath before they attempt to pressure people to provide information of a case they have no clue about.
I wonder what the sore-losers in the GOP will do if the report reiterates what's been obvious from the start, that Obama had no involvement in Blago's pay-to-play scheme to sell his senate seat.  I guess next they'll say that he started the great Chicago fire instead of Mrs. O'Leary's cow.

36 Days Until Inauguration Day!

Why not. Dems figured out a way to blame EVERYTHING, and I mean EVERYTHING on President Bush. They even want him to continue doing things that they want so when it explodes they can continue to blame him. No man in American history has carried so much of an undeserved burden for so many. Now it's Obama's turn to step up on Jan 20th, bend over and say, yes, may I have another. 36 days to inaguration! That's when the fun will really begin. This has only been a warm up. Get your popcorn ready.
Right Harry.

This is the same arguement made by Royals.
Wow, I'm shocked.
Point of order: Is the loan for the Big Three or for the UAW? How is it that the UAW has this say so in whether they agree to it or not? I understand the UAW makes up the current workforce, but as a company, can GM, Chrysler and Ford be held hostage by them when there are so many unemployed people in the US and inparticular Michigan? The union can not hold that kind of power and must be held accountable if the deal is not approved. If the Whitehouse folds and gives in, along with the Democrats pushing this for the support of the UAW in elections, President Bush will be accountable for going along with this when it fails. Make note today who is pushing this effort.
So a Senator from Nevada is endorsing someone in NY?
Caroline Kennedy would be perfect; unlike another Bush . Would another Bush have the answers to what happens to states if the auto worker is in the unemployment and food stamp queue. What insurance money will he provide to the increasing numbers in the unemployment map MSNBC has done for us. Let's see there is 533,000 plus Best Buy, Citigroup, and who knows how many others will be added to that map.
Yes, Caroline Kennedy would be perfect; her family has fought for minumin wage, civil rights affirmative action, immigration, etc. Simply put, it's in her genes. Besides, the Bushes should never run appear again in life for any political contests because he has not strings to tie up their political failures in Florida. His shoes are dirty and so is his footprint!

Thank you Harry Reid!
I think Reid should resign and the Nevada governor appoint Wayne Newton to take his place. Or maybe Elvis would be a better choice, him (Elvis) and Reid move around about the same. Either way, it is all about having "stars" in the Senate.
What they do, slap Reid sober so they could do this interview?
RALSTON: “So, are you going to call the governor of New York and say, “’She's fine in my book?’”

REID: “I already have.”
===============

Who dialed the numbers for Reid? Probably some smelly tourist.
RALSTON: “So, are you going to fill your pants today?"

REID: “I already have.”
