Speaking of Kennedy resting maybe I'm just getting old, but I can't see after a day like Obama has had, the breakfast with GWB, the speech, the parade, walking, greetings, waving, handshakes and the immense internal intensity he must have felt all day, how in the world could someone still have enough energy to go to several balls this evening? Maybe a short nap with a couple shots of boubon would help. Does Obama drink?

Great news for the USA, now the spoiled brats and frat boys have now left the building (hopefully forever), the adults are now in charge.

Actually, I have a Romanian maid who cooks and cleans for me. But, I may have to let her go. Times are getting rough.

I am amazed someone would be SO shocked that a senator would want more information on Hillary before confirming her! He is CLEARLY looking out for his constituents, rather than being starstruck and blindly confirming her. If all is legit in her husband's charity, than confirmation is good.  But the Texas Senator should be thanked for doing his job properly!

Another Clinton hater.  REPUBLICAN FROM TEXAS.  Just wasting time.  She has to votes he just wants to to get himself some publicity.

Hey Merry ~ Welcome to the neighborhood.  i'd say let's form a partnership, but you appear to be MUCH better at making messes than cleaning them up.  Hmmm.  Come to think of it, so am I.

Obama deserves to have all of his first choices for his cabinet seated. He has an inherited a mess beyond all of our comprehension of difficulty, the very least the Senate and we can do, his to allow him his first round draft picks.

A very dark, dark day for America

TO ALL WHO WILL VOTE FOR CONFIRMATATION OF TREASURY SECRETARY:

Since the age of 14 I've known I had to pay social security taxes and income taxes.  I am now 72 and CANNOT believe anyone who has held a job or had any bookkeeping training does not realize that these taxes have to be paid either by the employee or the employer.  TIM GEITHNER has to be the most stupid choice for Secretary of Treasury in existence!  The news media recently reported a letter received from the IRS to a man who owed $.05 ( that's right 5 cents on his back taxes)  The following day he received another letter stating he was due a $.04 refund check from the IRS but they could not return it to him because they could not write a check for less than $ 1.00. Total postage spent was more than both amounts put together.  Yet, the IRS let Tim get away without paying past due taxes of over $ 30,000 for years. Seems to me we have ENOUGH DUMMIES in the Treasury Department without adding a Leader to oversee them (let alone the bailouts) who is either ignorant, dishonest, unethical or all!  Of course, common sense might be something NEW in government.

 VOTE NO TO CONFIRM TIM GEITHNER AS SECRETARY OF TREASURY!!!!!!!

When is this country going to realize that Obama is not BLACK; nor is he WHITE.  In fact he is what we call MILANO!  He is half CAUCASIAN and half AFRICAN AMERICAN!  So he is not the first black president at all.  I am sick to death of the more black people who think they won some kind of trophy; when indeed they won nothing!!!!

I also agree Mr.Tim Geithner should not be appointed to Secretary of Treasury. I do not believe anyone in the position he has held did not realize the tax laws of our country. I also firmly believe the IRS should not have told him he would not have to pay the penalties; the rest of us Citizens of this country have had to pay our penalties even when we have had tax prepares prepare our taxes. I would certainly like to have the IRS explain that to me and others I know who have had to pay and did so without questioning.

Hillary Clinton will be an excellent Sect'y of State. Let's get her confirmed and start fixing the enormous problems of our country.  Move on.  Move forward. Enough already, please. Obama has called upon to rise above the pettiness and work together. Start now.
