The creation of SarahPAC is indicative of just how messed up the GOP is at the moment and also indicative of the lack of any semblence of statesmanship and visionary thinking within the Grand Old Party.

464,000 out of a population of three million plus seems not all that tremendous, especially since many of those may be sensation seekers as much as "friends." I'd say Sarah needs to PAC it in, but if anyone has some money they want to throw away, by all means, send it to her.

646,000 will not win you an election.  Actually I'm glad to see ol' "you betcha" Sarah wanting to run. It will be fun to watch Huckabee and Romney go after Sarah.  Huckabee will capture the neocon church goers and Romney will simply out-spend her.  Chuck Todd is right again, Romney is the front-runner.  Maybe all three will want to wait for a while to see how well Obama does.  With a favorable rating above 55%, none of the above may want to run...and lose.

It's painfully obvious that Mrs. Palin's attempts to keep her name in the media's light are only overshadowed by her more feeble attempts to blame it on the good of her country, not her political career.  She helped ruin McCain's campaign and is predetermined to fail miserably at any attempt to seek the presidency.  I think she is a bright woman who has found her calling in state government.  She could potentially make a great senator, but, in my opinion, lacks the presidential qualities that this country so desperately needs.

Who cares, why is this news, and who cares how many Facebook freinds this woman has?  Aren't we in the middle of two wars, the greatest economic depression since 1929; over 50,000 people lost they jobs yesterday, and as the president reiterated, these aren't just numbers, these are human beings, with families.  Yet, in the midst of all of this, we should be concerned that Sara Palin has 464,000 Facebook friends.  Is this suppose to be a gossip column or what, because if it is, then you've lost me as a reader.

'...Palin Agonistes: Governor's Aides Charged with New Ethics Violations

Just as Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is pushing an energy plan that fronts her as presidential material for 2012, two of her top aides-- Communications Director and Press Secretary, Bill McAllister, and Palin's Anchorage office director, Kris Perry--are being hit with new ethics charges, to be filed with the state Attorney General on Monday.

Well-known Alaskan political watchdog Andree McLeod--a registered Republican who was once a close political associate of Palin's and who has worked at a variety of jobs in Alaskan government--said that she is filing the complaint because "employees working for Palin conducted partisan political activities while on the clock and on the public's dime."

In August of last year, before Palin was nominated as John McCain's GOP running mate, McLeod filed ethics charges against the Palin administration over the hiring of Palin political crony Tom Lamal. She also has a legal case pending against Palin in which she is trying to make public more than 1,000 state emails that were copied to the governor's husband, Todd. In October, an Anchorage judge ordered Palin and others in her office to "retrieve and preserve" any emails from private accounts that concern state business that were copied to the so-called "First Dude."

In her current complaint against McAllister, McLeod sites a series of activities that she contends violate Alaska's "Executive Branch Code of Ethics," which prohibits public officials from using or authorizing "the use of state funds, facilities, equipment, services, or another government asset or resource for partisan political purposes."

"These campaign activities have absolutely nothing to do with the public's business, and everything to do with promoting Palin's personal endeavors and political aspirations," McLeod declared in an exclusive interview. "This must not go unchallenged."

In her complaint, addressed to Alaska Attorney General Talis Colberg, McLeod charges that state documents indicate McAllister traveled with the Palin entourage to Minneapolis for the Republican National Convention and that he was on the Alaska payroll September 1 to 5, 2008, allegedly "to provide staff support to the governor regarding state business."

Yet an email from McAllister to Palin (on her controversial private Yahoo account) indicates that McAllister was clearly coordinating Palin's activities for the RNC.

The convention itself is requesting you to act as a surrogate for McCain for national media. Available blocs of time daily, are 5-9 a.m., 11 a.m. - 9.a.m. Within those, they ask when you might be available for this purpose.
Three other state of Alaska employees--Perry, Janice Mason and Sharon Leighow--were also copied by McAllister on what was clearly Republican Party business...'

As much as I like Sarah she's alot like the little annoying, jumpy cheerleader who's always smiling and laughing at everything. You just want to grab her and yell GROWUP! She needs a lot more trigger time to become a veteran of global politics. When I was a Marine we hated leaders that smiled too much....we knew they were hiding their weaknesses behind the smiles.

laska Governor Sarah Palin's goin' old-school on us now, straight up messing around with Federal mandates under the Endangered Species Act by opposing additional protections that have been recommended for the Cook Inlet beluga whale. Those infernal whales! The media is so in the tank for them! As Daniel Schulman reports, "This marks the second time in a year that Palin's administration has squared off with the federal government over an ESA listing. Over the summer, her administration sued Interior Secretary Dirk Kempthorne after his agency conferred threatened status on the polar bear."

At issue is the population of these whales, which were put under the protections of the Marine Mammal Protection Act eight years ago, which scientists argue hasn't sped their recovery:

Palin begs to differ. Her administration argues that that the belugas are faring just fine under the protections in place, and the population is even beginning to show signs of recovering. For this reason, the state of Alaska contends that additional regulation is unnecessary. "The State of Alaska has worked cooperatively with the federal government to protect and conserve beluga whales in Cook Inlet," Palin said last week. "This listing decision didn't take those efforts into account as required by law."

At the heart of Palin's objections are concerns that additional safeguards will interfere with oil and gas development, among other lucrative projects. "I am especially concerned that an unnecessary federal listing and designation of critical habitat would do serious long-term damage to the vibrant economy of the Cook Inlet area," Palin said in 2007.

Good for her.  She already has millions of supporters, and now they can start contributing.  Thanks to 0bama's rather shady money raising during the last campaign, we have entered the age of almost continuous campaigning.  

Palin to build a safer America in the 21st century? She shouldn't put the horse before the cart. First things first...she should return to school, become an example to her family. Clean up home first, be a role model to her daughters by parenting.
