Palin creates SarahPAC

In a sign Sarah Palin wants to continue to be a player on the national political stage, the Alaska Governor has started a new political action committee to raise funds, SarahPAC.

The PAC is registered in Virginia and is modeled after HillPAC, Hillary Clinton's former political committee. Palin's committee allows her to raise money for other Republicans.

According to the Web site, the committee will also support Palin's "plans to build a better, stronger, and safer America in the 21st century."

Palin continues to have a huge political following. As of noon today, she has 464,000 friends on Facebook.com.

Duh...a Pac is and can be used to support other candidates and not just the person establishing the pac.
I think you trolls object too much...sounds more like fear to me. Nothing to be afraid of if what you all are saying is true.. so why bother. The same things were said about Reagan. We can handle all the bad mouthing..means nothing.

Won't get to the White House with 464,000 votes (assuming all 464,000 would vote for her). Sounds like they all might be from the Bible belt, eh? Don't think any sane voter would be casting their vote in her direction. This woman needs to get her daughter to say "I do" to the father of her child (you know, FORCE that marriage on those teenagers so it looks good)and then stay home and raise her own special needs child. Sounds like that might be more up her alley. I see she hasn't gotten any smarter since leaving the stage.

Any sinkhole that diverts money in the GOP and keep it splintered is likely a good thing for the country. Think of it like a shiny toy to keep a cat distracted/not clawing your furniture.

Also, what Palin has accomplished in Alaska is paying everyone a one time bonus that boosted her short term popularity, instead of doing what conservatives would do and banking excess funds against lean times. Now that oil has tanked, the Alaska economy will be even more reliant on Federal money and the funding for that pipeline she kept touting might not be there. Whoo-hoo!

And what revolutionary programs has she introduced in Alaska that would improve life in the Lower 48? If it's anything like her Wasilla days, where she drove a $5 million surplus into a $22 million deficit, we've had plenty of that from Bush the Younger.

Elitist as that may sound, can you respect a leader who consistently blames her public image on the media? She takes no responsibility for her statements, programs, or viewpoints. I think that this article misrepresents. I am a FB member and the problem with Sarah Palins 646,000 fans is that they are the same folks that screamed kill him during one of her speeches. Honestly if Palin thinks that she has any chance she needs to look past the anti intellectual crowd and actually reach out to the rest of the United Stated. Didn't the GOP learn their lesson in 2008? Bush got away with the scare tactics, fortunately those same tactics blew up in the face of McDinosaur and Palin. FYI Barack obama only has 4,630,480 friend on FB. I think that Sarah has a little bit of catching up to do!

I shouldn't be surprised at the mean spiritedness coming from the Woodstock Hippie Liberals who hate traditional America and people like Sarah Palin for what she represents.

Sarah was Mayor twice and then elected governor and had a 65% approval rating significantly more than most politicians. She has much more executive experience than Obama. How arrogant for Liberals to talk about her being an unknown and inexperienced; when they present us with an Obama.

She was chosen Governor of the year by her colleagues, got rid of corrpution in her own party, lowered taxes, and sent money back to the people because of the taxes received on the high price of gas. How many politicians have done that?

I feel confident that all traditional (conservative) Americans who love this country will support Sarah Palin in the same spirit they supported president Ronald Reagan; who by the way the Liberals hated him as well.
