From NBC's Chuck Todd
Vice President Biden will not leaving for Munich straight from Williamsburg, VA as originially planned, according to White House sources. He's now coming back to DC to help with last-minute sales pitches for the stimulus plan.

*** UPDATE *** Per NBC's Savannah Guthrie: Biden IS GOING straight to Munich, after all. There was some confusion, but here is the deal... According to White House sources, there was some discussion of keeping Biden here until Senate vote was done. However, they've now decided to have Biden travel on to Munich as planned.

Good Luck convincing those bottom-feeding, self-serving, privilege-above-all-loving festering bags rotting protoplasm that middle class Americans count, Mr. Vice President.
In other words, time to add to the stupidity of the Liberals.....
Biden delays his departure so he can work on the Stimulus?

Advice to Biden : Munich needs you more than the pork-ridden stimulus. You'll only make matters worse if you try to fix this agenda-ridden bill. Go away and stay away. Buy a house in Munich.
Mr. President, your Army is ready.

REAL CHANGE never comes easy. It comes with a fight.

The middle class and working class are the majority in this country. We're with you.
Joe got to go! Get on that 747 and fly away. You will not be missed.
What a refreshing change.  An administration that can prioritize.

Otherwise, how is this news?
This is not the time to allow Republican Obstructionists to continue the demise of the American people.
Unlike the proof that was never provided of the banks actually collapsing when you look around, the economy is collapsing and this is not an exaggeration; this is not propaganda to s care you this is fact; look around you, businesses are closing down left and right.

On every main and local street you will find Going Out of Business Signs
On every neighborhood street you will find foreclosure after foreclosure / For Sale Signs
This is not Bush-Paulson trying to scare you into financially helping their friends on Wall Street; this is happening right before our eyes. And once again we can not allow these Obstructionists to stand in our way of a better life. It times to play hard ball folks. We didn’t win on November 4, 2008 because we trusted the republicans; we won on November 4th because we trusted in the Democrats to get the job done. Now is not the time to lose sight of that. We must stand up and get the word out of what the Republican Party are trying to do.
smart move. the repugs will drive the unemployment to 10% playing politics. they don't give a damn about people suffering. the only care about their ideas. there is no compomise with them. bipartisan outreach has failed. the are attacking nominations just to be political. yes, the big dogs need to get the stimulus taken care of. this economy is getting really bad.
Another Obama White House Cabinet pick is dealing with questions about unpaid taxes, but White House officials insist the confirmation of Labor Secretary-nominee Hilda Solis is not in jeopardy.

A Senate committee vote on Solis' nomination was abruptly postponed on Thursday after it became known that her husband had unpaid tax liens on his California auto repair business that were only settled this week for about $6,400.

And the beat goes on.....
That's because the Vice-President and President realize the urgency. Unlike the obstructions in the Republican part you spin, delay, and lie; because they don't care.

7.6 unemployment means nothing to some republicans.
He hasn't finished his "Rosetta Stone" course in German yet.  They want to make sure he doesn't call himself a doughnut.
Two words why no one will ever try to harm the Prez.

President Biden.

<Shudders>
When I read comments such as Mitt Romney's  that Obama is off to a rocky start, ,it is obvious that he and his GOPalin allies don't get.  It is the American people who are off to a rocky start because of the failure of GOPalin policies and attitudes.  What it will take is to boot more of them out of office next time around. And Rich Mitt should notice that Republican governors such as Crist and Schwarzenegger support this stimulus.  The GOPalin party should change their symbol from elephant to dinosaur.
But , of course, Rich Mitt and Rich John and their colleagues don't put Country First, they put rich people first,  If GOPalin congress hadn't passed the tax cuts for the rich as well as the rest of their disastrous policies, the US and  the rest of the world wouldn't be in this mess. As the President said, this mess greeted him when he arrived.  So, Mitt and his pack should just keep their useless thoughts to themselves. And Mitt, President Obama has just been there 18 days!!!!
And as far as Munich,  the Senators can stay in Washington and earn their salaries.   Secretary Clinton can go to Munich,  she would do a much better job of representing the US than McCain and Buddies
Where is Condi Rice?  Perhaps she needs a job right now, and can fill in for VP Biden.  NOT!!!

1. President Obama makes statement that there is only one president at a time.

2. President Obama decides to close Gitmo.

3. President Obama apologizes to the terrorist.

4. President Obama tries to force country into early stages of socialism, not what soldiers think they are fighting and serving for.
Early stumbles by the Obama White House over some high-level appointments caused a firestorm in the Capitol and on cable TV this week, but most Americans dismiss them as just a normal part of staffing a new administration.

In a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll taken Wednesday, those surveyed by nearly 3-1 say their confidence in President Obama's ethical standards and his ability to manage the government and improve the economy has gone up rather than down since his inauguration last month.

"They're willing to cut him some slack," says Gary Jacobson, a political scientist at the University of California at San Diego. "It's saying they're more interested in things like the economy and what's going to happen to their jobs and their incomes and their 401(k)s. This other stuff is just a distraction to them.

Can someone please forward this MEMO to the MSNBC Anchor Ladies who spent an entire day giving out false poll numbers.
The survey also shows that public opinion of the economic stimulus package working its way through Congress has not changed: 52% favor it; 38% oppose it. In late January, the figures were 52% and 37%

Oh Here is another Memo to pass on the the MSNBC Anchor Ladies

If it's such a fantastic, pork-free bill, why does there have to be a sales pitch for it???  "Because I say so!!  I won!!!  Do it my way!!" says Mr. Obama.
When will the Senate get it? The American people elected Barack Obama as president. We did this because of years of a dishonest Republican leader who led this country to the state that we are in now. President Obama is our leader and has a plan to save our country.

We want this stimulus plan passed NOW!

The Republicans and Democrats who are holding this up should visit "Main Street."  No wonder congress has such a low approval rating.
Interesting Point

"Now, if you've been reading Daily Kos, you will know that sooner or later, Obama is going to have to move to gathering Democratic votes and blast the Republicans for not moving far enough to the middle. Bipartisanship can only go so far. The Democrats will vote for the bill and the Republicans are going to have to take the rap for opposing both the stimulus and the temporary expansion of the safety net which is in this bill. They'll be more disciplined about it, but that's not news.

Pundits like Chris Matthews who think Republicans 'won' because they pulled an individual provision or two out of the stimulus bill that then passes need to go back and look at the numbers. The public thinks Obama is doing just fine, and if we see the pundits scoring what's a win by the number of votes it takes to call something 'bipartisan' (i.e, getting six R votes is a loss because they shoulda had seven), it's fair to remind them they got it just as wrong when they tried to score the debates the same way. Remember, the media called the debates for McCain while the public said Obama cleaned McCain's clock."

Interesting Point.
All hands on deck. President Obama is seting an example of how to run this country. Pay attention hopeful candidates. We have a President and Vice President "working as a team". Not idiot's with their own adgendas.

Priority number one is this nations economy and it's people. Cheney are you paying attention? This is how you do it.
It's refreshing to have a VP who is actually working unlike Cheney who was too busy shooting friends and having heart attacks. Cheney was a total waste of taxpayers money...as was Bush. Now Bush and Cheney can hang out together and go hunting. Bush can throw shoes up in the air so Cheney can blast them with a shotgun.  Good therapy for a couple of nut jobs.
a former soldier, we don't amke policy when we are fighting. we watch over each others back. i don't agree with what you said, but i don't see socialism. to mix yoor political views with military duty is a confusing message to those who haven't served. your opinion is yours. i love my country to. i serve my country as well. politics and military duty are two different things. president obama didn't apologize to terrorist, gitmo should be closed and there can be only one president at a time. are you truly a former soldier? how come you don't use your name? bro's and sista's no longer on duty call themselves vets or veterans. are you really a former soldier sir?
On the Stimulus - the media is giving me a headache.  Ist of all the keep calling it Obama's stimulus plan without any acknowledgement that he wasn't the author of all the provisions in it.  The true pork came from the House Dems not Obama.  But the GOP considers the tax cuts for payroll taxes of people who don't make enough to owe income taxes pork and not stimulus.  These are the people hurting the most who will most decidely use that money to stimulate demand.  The GOP forced a measure of 15,000 credit for home purchases without the stipulation that they be 1st time purchases (that previosly existed for the credit in place this year).  Who is this aimed at?  Not at the people who are in foreclosure or close to it.  Basically they are for Infrastructure and tax cuts (and that is it).  But a large portion of the bill is to support the growing number of jobless.  Lesser informed people have a problem with this funding, because they don't see the benefit in it for them.  But if these people don't have extended unemployment coverage, food stamps, and access to healthcare (it will create a snowball effect of more job losses will eventually affect eveyone.  This stimulus package is the only way to avaoid a full blown depression.  And the media and the GOP need to stop being so reckless with this countries future.
Reminiscent of the Great Depression when Congress was working on New Deal programs. The Republicans fought tooth and nail against any and all such programs. Without such things we would not have many of our national parks, bridges, some buildings, famous landmarks, levees etc. Rural electrification likely would have been delayed or not taken place at all. Social Security would not exist nor would decent wages and decent working hours if the Republicans had their way. It is scary enough to see tainted spinach, meat, and now peanut products with the controls we have. Had the GOP gotten their way we would be seeing such things all the time and hundreds of times worse.

We need to remind people that it is the Republicans that are responsible for their job losses and the delays in fixing the economy so they can work again just as it was in the 1930s. They don't seem to learn.

First of all, although President Obama did say that there is only one president at a time; but, do you realize he didn’t put them there; Georgie boy did? Even before president Obama was sworn in he worked very assiduously to put together a team; yet did not assert himself as Prez. So he never has really been AWOL as the Obstructionist, Republican Graham had the audacity to say yesterday then or now.

2nd Gitmo needs to be closed. United States doesn’t torture.

3rd   I wouldn’t exactly say using diplomacy is an apology

4th I don’t think our soldiers think they are fighting and serving for socialism. I think they are very devastated at the sacrifices made. Then once they find out their orders were based upon lies; and they were fighting for oil, (black gold) and to establish military complexes. They come home and hear remarks such as yours about socialism; and can’t pay their bills either. So how do you rectify 7.6 % unemployment for them and so benefits?  No wonder there is there such a high incidence of suicide! There are no jobs or healthcare for them.

And finally, Cold -hearted, private citizen, Dick Cheney, as said I before is using scare tactics to appeal to people such as you.
Also, it would do you lot’s of good to look up the definition of socialism. You won’t be so bitter and confused when get the truth.

Read Krugman.

Ace, i never question a slodier, but i agree with you, soldiers usually serve their president and never question. But this economic situation is affecting your family. Remeember when the democrats were fighting for a better GI bill for all soldiers. The republicans did not think that the soldiers needed it.

Absolutely, 20 years MI and TC and a DAV. Awarded the BS in Gulf War. If you served you know what those stand for. Socialism is not freedom. I served and fought for freedom for my family and those of my country.

I see freedom as the right to disagree, but not destroy those of our country with name calling that can be seen by the world.
Forget the up-to-$500 tax credit for individuals.  That is $9 a week for me.  Don't bother.  Put it towards infrastructure spending and at least put people to work doing something we need.

Now, if you want to slash fed. withholding in half for a year for anyone making less than say 200K/year, you're talking something significant, and it would be a terrific boost to the economy, not to mention our mental state.
This bill will pass this week.  The unemployment rate will be 8.0% in June and I will blame it on the present administration and its policies.

I will say this again. Say what you will about Joe Biden, but this country has a Vice President who came from a workingman's family.  He reminds me so much of my own Dad, who passed away in 1981, who worked as a common Stone Mason, and who I adored.  Love you Joe Biden -- keep up all the good work you do for me, and the other folks who live paycheck to paycheck in this country.
The Republicans and Conservatives and Right-Wingers are embarrassing us (USA) again.
The unemployment rate will be 8.0% in June and I will blame it on the present administration and its policies.

Of course you will.
