From NBC's Ashley Codianni
WASHINGTON -- In a one-on-one interview this morning with Samuel “Joe the Plumber” Wurzelbacher here at the Conservative Political Action Committee, he told NBC News that he would consider running  for office after his son is finished with college. "I will consider in six years when my son is at Ohio State... It's a lot of work, and it's a very important job. And I would take it as serious as it is. It would be as a servant and not someone who feels entitled."

Video: Joe the Plumber at CPAC.

Wurzelbacher also was critical of current GOP leadership. "Personally, I don't see anybody as far as a leader in the Republican Party right now. They're afraid to say anything, they are more worried about being politically correct and their special interest groups. They are not worried about the American people. No way, no shape do I ever hear anything about that. They talk a good game, but I see no action."

Why is NBC "News" interviewing this guy?  You consider him a legitimate news story?  Thanks for reminding me why I quit reading this blog...
In order to speak effectively, one must have a grasp of proper grammar.  Joe should add a "y" to his "serious."  Of course, I seriously doubt if anyone attending his speech grasped the finer points of grammar either...
If this man gets elected to anything higher than city council or mayor of a small town, I will have deep worries with the people in his area.
Ooh! Not another lying POS from the Repuke Party.  This guy lied about himself and his employer, the Repuke party and its regurgitated miniions.  Ooh, better yet why don't they hoist limpag into the fire, oh forgot his dirty laundry will be exposed!!!!!Just like the Repuke party.
Joe the plumber again? Hope he has his tools with him, a sewer job like this will net him a hefty profit.
It's hilarious how Repubs keep promoting their new poster boy -- basically, they found one salt-of-the-earth straight shooter guy who votes republican out there and they are milking it for all it's worth because they can't find any other conservatives who come off as sincere or in touch with what it's like to live on the average American income!

They are sooo out of ideas & out of support.
Does that mean he's going to pay his taxes and quit lying about being a plumber? (Maybe he thought they've been saying "dumber"?)
I still think Mr plumber is a paid pundit. Becareful FR, becaue the Rush has a target and you are in the bulls's eye. Mr plumber commnets were meant as a distraction to MSNBC.
And we care what Joe Not-A-Plumber really thinks???

NOT
*They are not worried about the American people. No way, no shape do I ever hear anything about that. They talk a good game, but I see no action."*

Gah!!! What does he expect from a bunch of bullheaded idiots?! The fact of the matter is the GOP does not have one iota idea of how to fix the crisis we are in but the friggin' tax cuts that did not do it's job in the last 8 years but dug as deeper into this muck.
All the GOP DO right now is continue this asinine unconscionable pride and continue to be partisans instead of supporting our president and his admin. MAKE these proposed plans work!
You're right Joe,

The GOP is, "more worried about being politically correct and their special interest groups. They are not worried about the American People."

Thanks for being honest Joe.
Oh boy, Joe's back; or did he ever really leave us? What a sad state of affairs the GOP is in when they must rely on someone who scammed his way into the spotlight. A plumber without a license who didn't pay his income taxes.  What a hoot Joe was for the campaign - that is, if you're a democrat like me who supported Obama!!

Too funny!!

The gift that keeps giving, for sure!!Welcome back, Joe!!
Who cares and why should we?  Will it take 6 years for him to pay all of his back taxes?
Joe-The-I'm-Not-Really-A-Plumber Wurzelbacher should be the head of the Republican Party. He's right up their alley! All he needs is a tin foil hat!
Thanks, Obama.  For making Joe the Plumber so popular!!
And now that he has badmouthed the GOP, they will no longer use him as their poster boy.  Remember, if you don't goose step in line with the party leaders, you are cut off.

14:48....14:59.....15:00

Bye Joe.

they are blogging ... not the same as news Sand F.  The "other side" needs to be heard or at least "in the light."  it is relevant to First Read and the slow moments of the news day like anything else.  If anything we are reminded he is still out there being Comedy Gold (or silver or bronze or something shiny)

Please Please PLEASE drop this moron.  Nobody cares what he has to say.  He was a gimmick, and his 15 minutes were up months ago.  Why do you people keep enabling him?  Seriously.
If Joe the Non Plumber, Silly Sarah, OxyRush, Steeless, Jindal, Gingrich and whoever else they take for a trial run represent the Repukes in any year, it will be a smooth run for all Democrats to win!!!

Keep up the good work Repukes!!!!!!!

Rick Perry (Clueless), is having legal problems.  Seems he doesn't want his travel documents reviewed, typical Repuke.  Even the DA, San Antonio, Susan Reed, is also having her legal issued---using stolen Southwest Airline vouchers....Yikes!  Her driver has been indicted....but, she swears....I KNOW NOTHING!

Arrest all Repukes and figure out the charges later.  That's how they operate....Where's Rove?
It's a sure sign of just how pathetic the GOP has become when THIS guy is actually allowed to speak for them.  What's next for them, Homer Simpson as their Campaign Secretary.

As amusing as it is to see the Generally Obsolete and Pathetic (GOP) look like a bunch of circus clowns trying to fit into the same clown car, I have to say that I don't relish the prospect of a permanent Democratic majority any more than I do the prospect of a permanent Republican majority.  I am a firm believer in a strong multi-party democracy, and that the minority party should serve as a check against the majority achieving "absolute power", not through obstruction, but through firm opposition and offering real alternatives.  I hope that sometime between now and 2016 the GOP can get its s41t together and realize that this tilt toward extremism isn't working for them, and only serves to further marginalize their party.

Of course, they don't have to hurry.  8 years of Obama is just fine with me.

"GAH!"

You have got to be kidding!  Him and Palin!  My God, what next?
LOL! You gotta be kidding me! An unemployed, uninsured, so-called plumber, who coincedently was a plant from the McCain camp, is now givng advice to the Republican Elite? This has got to be satire. You just can't make this crap up.
Wow. He offers such insight. NOT. At first, this guy was somewhat entertaining to listen to and read about, but I wish he would fall off the radar for good. Why do we care what he has to say again?
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.....You can't make this stuff up.  Is Joe changing his party affiliation?  What a frickin' joke he is.
When did Joe the plumber become more intelligent than the entire congressional GOP.
Are we discussing local dog catcher here?  Reality is I would not trust my cat to that man.
Isn't it interesting that, generally speaking, the liberals writing here do nothing to support our country?  Do they even donate money or time to charities or their churches?  All they do is complain and criticize others...perhaps a bit of jealousy here?  Grow up and support our country......your lives and your families are at stake.
Wonder if McCain ever wishes he had left that genie in the bottle.  Assume Joe will have paid his back taxes by then.  Forgot though, that the GOP only has a heart attack when a democrat didn't pay some taxes but not a blipp when it's one of theirs.  Old Joe critizized them so they might get mad at him and send him home; we can only hope they do.
Samuel “Joe the Plumber” Wurzelbacher, McCain's nephew is sure getting a lot of publicity. If what is at that convention is the cream of what the uberrighties have to offer the Democrats are safe for decades to come.
Give us Joe the plumber, better than another Kennedy, "ya know"
Joe, I'd figure on YOUR kid spending about 10 years at Ohio State. Drama major.

Whoa there, sparky. What makes you think that the holier than thou radical right wingnuts are better Americans than every else? I have never and never will doubt the loyalty of others to this great nation. We are all Americans and want the best for our nation and her people. What is best is subject to a difference of opinion. I'll bet you have at least one of those little ribbon magnets on your vehicle that says support our troops. You have to make sure everyone knows just how patriotic you are. Patriotism in your heart and mind isn't enough is it?  As for donating...I know many liberals who donate to a variety of charities even now when they have a hard time themelves. But that is how liberals are. It is like this....Conservatives are Ebanezer Scrooge before the visit from the spirits and liberals are Mr. Scrooge after the visit from the spirits. Throwing money at charities isn't always the best thing to do either. Big rich high horse riding cons toss coins to the rabble and get a kick out of the peasants scramble for a farthing each. Liberals, on the other hand, roll up their sleeves and ladle out soup at a homeless shelter, volunteer to clean up roadsides and beaches, and give what coins they can to help do what volunteers aren't able to do. So don't lecture us about how generous the cons are. Jealous? Hah, liberals have nothing to be jealous of.

Liberals follow the teachings of the Good Book in helping one's neighbor, turning the other cheek etc. Look around and wake up before you go spouting such garbage filled lies.
