GOP WATCH: More RNC staff cuts
"The Republican National Committee is shedding more staff under newly elected Chairman Michael Steele’s tenure," Roll Call writes. "Jay Banning, the RNC’s chief financial officer and chief administrative officer, is leaving the committee after 33 years, according to an e-mail message obtained by Roll Call."

What wonderful news - less repugnant ones working for the RNC traitors.  Hey what about all that bragging about how much money phoney Steele raised?  The Irrelevant Elephants are nothing but the amazing shrinking shrieking violet of American politics so soon after bragging about generational control of all three branches of government.

How Sweet It Is!
In Obama We Trust!
That's not all the republican's are doing. Why do the republicans want Congressional oversite on First Lady Michelle Obama? How many distractions will this hateful people give just to delay the focus of our President?
Still doesn't compare to how many crooks have stepped down from Obama's administration and the tons of empty seats left because no one wants to work for him.
Cut the RNC staff to the bone and let the bone kick Obama's big butt.

Our big-headed, big-eared prez needs to be knocked off the podium and get a taste of what is really going on in America, although we know that he wouldn't care anyway. He's in it for the power but he can be deployed back to the Senate.
Anybody catch Steele's interview on CNN?  When asked about the party moderating its views on gay marriage and abortion, Steele went on this tirade about how insulting it was to ask someone to change who they were as a fundamental person blah blah blah.

Don Lemmon wasn't asking Steele to personally campaign for gay marriage or to march with abortion rights advocates, just to allow for the dialogue to take place within the party, and Steele had such a visceral reaction.  That's why the Republicans scare off moderates and independents.  Steele was basically saying "if you support abortion rights or gay marriage, the GOP doesn't want anything to do with you."  They have more problems to worry about than staffing issues.
When is Steele going get around to actually HIRING someone.  Last I heard, he still doesn't have much of a staff.  Perhaps if he didn't spend so much time in the media talking about his "strategy"...

Please, remember that Mr. Steele has a strategy that will get him to the WH. All will be revealed in the fulness of time.
Steele went on this tirade about how insulting it was to ask someone to change who they were as a fundamental person blah blah blah.

So, don't ask a gay person to change who they are as a fundamental person. Sounds like a good idea just like don't ask someone to change their religion, or other strong belief system. That is who they are and we should not ask them to be different from who they fundamentally are. Very liberal of someone to think that way.

Well, the Republicans talk about small government and governing virtually without income perhaps Steele and the party tend to show us how it is done. First you have to lay people off, then you kick them to the curb. Don't even think about paying them anything more. Surely they don't deserve a pension, severence, medical insurance, or public assistance after all they aren't CEOs. Yeah, that's how the GOP thinks and apparently will put their money where their mouth is with the lean operation of their party.

==========
Keep in mind, Brian.  Steele is still trying to be one of the "cool kids" of the GOP.  So far there hasn't been a single issue that he's been consistent on since he was elected.  I think he wants to be moderate, but feel he has to entertain his GOP masters by publicly taking extreme positions.  I think that the RNC has realized that they elected a very poor messenger.

Besides, it's all a part of his "strategy".

So the recession hits the RNC too. How fitting.
What - the GOP is cutting back to match their budget.
What a unique and non-political idea.

Maybe Obama can loan them some money - since he has all the money and power now.

Maybe some of the people that the GOP are letting go can apply for some of the hundreds of positions unfilled on Obie's cabinet.  Assuming that they didn't pay their taxes?

United States of Obama

I love you Obama - please dont kill me.
This is very good news for America! Not only should their staff be cut down. The "Really Not Competent" (RNC) should be cut out political existence for good. These very dumb and dangerous philosophical "pukes" have done enough damage to our nation already. Time to move forward America!
God made them do it !!!!   GREAT.
I don't have much sympathy for the republican party.  They've made a mess of this country and economy, but I have to indulge in a little schadenfreude today, because I'll bet the longtime RNC people are bitterly regretting their cynical pragmatic choice of leadership....but how to get rid of him without everyone gleefuly screaming "racist!  Racist!"?

I shall sit back with a smile on my face and see how they're going to cope.
After creating the biggest government in the history of our country, the republicans are now downsizing?
After creating the biggest deficit in the history of our couunty they are NOW complaining about spending?
How anyone can give any credibility to these hypocrits is beyond me. They have made no plans or taken any steps towards the survial of our country.
Their showboating, irresponsible actions have made our political system the laughing stock of the world.
They insult the intelligence of the American people.
The part that made me laugh was Steele's implying that the RNC chairmanship was equal to the presidency; and saying he had reached out to President Obama but had no response.  Uhh, when did the chairman of one political party reach out to the other party?  I thought Eugene Robinson had a comedic analysis of the GOP last week: after Obama was elected, the GOP said let's get one; after Hillary's ground-breaking campaign, the GOP said let's get one; and the GOP response to the democratic blue collar worker was Joe the Plumber.
