Gosh, from what I can see on TV First Lady Michelle Obama looks so graciously, lovely and refined. What a beautiful sight to behold this First Couple. They look like royalty. Forget about the "Rock Star"image!
From an earlier post...

"Barack Obama is conducting his own affirmative action program to get more Muslims in the White House.

The move began with Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn, who took his oath of office with a hand on the Quran, to solicit the resume of what he considered to be the nation's most qualified adherents of Islam."

--------------------------------------------

Hey, Jackass, last I checked, the First Amendment has not been revoked...Freedom of Religion still exists...well, I guess for you, not so much.

You'd also be interested to know that Article VI, Section 3 of the US Constitution still exists.  That's the one that says that "no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States."

As for Keith Ellison, boy, are you in for a surprise!

How many members of Congress take their official oath using a Bible?  The answer is, none of them do!

The official oath of office for all members of Congress is taken en masse in the respective chamber, either the House or the Senate.  The picture of Ellison taking the oath using the Quran is just that...a photo op.

SURPRISE!!!
All the best to the President and First Lady!
Alert the media!  Oops...
Seriously, I'm an Obama fan; but was this a newsworthy item?  Was there some doubt in the press pool that the plane wouldn't land?

There is plenty of actual news to report.  It may just require that you branch out and find it,...

Let's hope it was a landing strip rather than soil......duh, First Read. This is a new low for you.
The NEW Decider ?

'..."The Obama presidency has two great missions: fixing the economy, and preventing Iran from gaining nuclear weapons," Netanyahu told me....'

Israel is a rogue state that used white phosporous against civilians in Gaza and cluster bombs against civilians in Lebanon

The Israelis targetted civilians and civilian infrastructure in Gaza

They are violating the Geneva Convention on a daily basis with illegal settlements and collective punishment of occupied peoples

Im 1979, the South African Apartheid regime exploded an atomic device with technology passed to it by Israel

From HuffPost:

'...Netanyahu To Obama: Stop Iran, Or I Will

In an exclusive interview with The Atlantic's Jeffrey Goldberg Tuesday, just before he was sworn in as Israel's new prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu issued a bold statement: if Obama does not stop Iran's nuclear program, Israel most certainly will. The assertion seems to confirm Netanyahu's own hawkishness, as well as the fears of US Middle East policymakers who support a more delicate approach to the region. From the interview account:

In an interview conducted shortly before he was sworn in today as prime minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu laid down a challenge for Barack Obama. The American president, he said, must stop Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons--and quickly--or an imperiled Israel may be forced to attack Iran's nuclear facilities itself.

"The Obama presidency has two great missions: fixing the economy, and preventing Iran from gaining nuclear weapons," Netanyahu told me....'

With American made weapons ?
With American tax dollars ?

You gotta love'um!
I support Obama as much as the next guy, but this was more suited for Twitter than FR.
So he landed in London. since that is where the meetings are being held that makes perfectly good sense. How about reporting some REAL news. I would suggest you try what is said, decided or happens in the meetings. That is subsnative not just fluff.

The more I see these days the more I believe Voltaire was right when he said "common sense is uncommon".

Man, I like good, articulate, and common sense retorts!  If you didn't post anything else for the rest of the year, I think you've done your work quite well.  Some Jackass can only be called that, jackass.
People in the streets of London are grasping their wallets in fear of an Obama take over.

More govenrment takeovers stateside on the way.

It's a strange new world we are living in today.
Did the plane land...

Or did it desend from the heavens?

Was it a plane ... or was it a golden chariot?

How many angels were pulling the plane?

Did he leave the the plane thru the door or did he hover over the masses?

Obama - I love you - please dont fire me!
Hope it stays there.
Man I hope they remember not to call them a member of the "coalition of the bribed". Hey UK don't blame all of America for what the skunks in Liberal New York did to your economy. They did to us too.
Thank you, Pete from Albany.  I was struck by the radical tone of that initial post and still find it troubling.  Guess the writer missed Colin Powell's MTP interview last fall when he said that although Pres Obama is not a Muslin, it shouldn't matter even if he was.  That's what America is about.  Freedom of religion or freedom from religion.  Religion itself, although not intended, promotes intolerance and prejudice.

Personally, I appreciate the updates trivial or not.  Yes, the Obamas are a terrific couple.  When I watched the Inagural balls and them dancing, I was struck by how obvious it was that they genuinely like and respect each other.
Did the press corps properly record the president's visits to the Air Force One executive restroom during the trip over?

And is it outfitted with a figurative "throne" or a real one?
Forgot.  I see Limbaugh is at it again saying that if Obama's policies fail, America will succeed.  Guess he missed the data that proves 30 years of GOP policies of trickle down economics, free trade without any regulation, cut taxes while increasing the debt have been proven not to work.  The country failed under republican leadership but Limbaugh and his buddies became wealthy--that's how the GOP measures success and never mind the rest of the people.
Big deal. He isn't the first half black man to land in London. Probably won't be the last.
Jody, Iowa:

The country hasn't failed.  And most of you generalizations are limp noodles.
Obama lands in London with an entourage of 500.  Did he bring Gordon Brown replacements for those dvd's he can't play?  How about the Queen?  Did he bring her videocassettes?  Or maybe just a postcard?
Barack is the poster child for "let's bring the downtrodden black man all the way up to the white guys, like it or not" movement.
Clara

Of course this wasn't a big deal, but then again, either are any of your posts, such as your complaint about Obama landing in London being newsworthy.

Stop the insanity. Geez, Louise.
WOW!  this just in.....
such reporting, 'just the facts, ma'm'

ditto to you Clara--

Wish the President & the first lady well, they are representing our nation well.  Our President and First Lady are doing an Outstanding Job!
