Oh, no. Hear come the teleprompter complaints. The complaints about socialism. The complaints about his control of the media and the loss of free speech.

Oh wait, we here those anyway!

I look forward to hearing an intelligent presentation of what he has accomplished and hearing him intelligently answer questions. It is nice to have a President that doesn't hide and it is nice to have a President that can speak in full and intelligent sentences.
Has anyone else noticed that Obama has spoken to the people of this country more times in his first 100 days than Bush did in his 8 years?  I remember someone who lived in Texas while Bush was governor there, that he was the absentee governor - he hardly ever appeared publicly to speak to the press or anyone, for that matter, and we should not be surprised he did the same as president.  I for one, and happy to see Obama address the nation more frequently...it what FDR did with his fireside chats during that turmoil, and it is good that Obama does it too.
Oh gosh, thank goodness! We haven't heard from Obama in what, nearly 16 hours?
Wow, Obama sure gets around. He has done more, or at least started things going more in his first 100 days than either Bush or Clinton did in their first year in office. There is alot for him to do and he doesn't seem to be wasting any time getting to it.
Will Obama talk about the 3 million people that have joined the unemployment lines since he took office? Will he talk about how awful the US has been at causing all the worlds problems? Will he talk about the trillions of dollars he's added to the national debt? Will he talk about people like Chavez and Ortega, and Castro pushing the US around like we were just another 3rd world country, just like the are?

Or will he talk about Hope? And Change?
In one hundred days, the actions you have taken as our leader, our President, and as a fellow American has made me proud to be an American, once again.  Don't bend to political pressure or adverse public opinion.  Bring us, "Change, we can believe in."

Do not be humble on your 100th day in office.  You have already done more for this country than your precessor did in 2,922 days.  I, for one, want to hear what you have to say so I will be tuned in.
Does the White House still think 100 is a silly benchmark? Guess not.

Great-get your questions ready now, press.  they need to be pre-submitted so that Obama can formulate his answers.

As to the 'findings' of today's AP poll, purporting to find that 48% of the country now sees it going in the right direction, vs. 44% on the wrong track:

The daily Kos, (that bastion of 'conservative' opinion), found that 43% think the country is headed in the right direction, vs. 55% 'wrong track.  Gallup asks about the 'state of the nation', and finds 31% satisfied, with 65% satisfied.  these numbers from the same group polled who approve of Obama by 65%.  Makes you wonder who the heck AP polled.

Also, to tzalaran:  I read your post.  Yes, I am an economist; yes, part of my job is as an educator; yes, I do consulting with industry groups.  No, I never claimed to be an 'expert' in space exploration.  Re-read the post you are referencing.  I stated that I had read an AP article on NASA-how in the world does that translate to claiming to be an expert?
Will there be cake?
That's a long time to wait - nearly 6.5 days. Think Obama will manage to spend another trillion during that time?
It is always a pleasure to hear my president speak.

Thank you and GOD BLESS AMERICA
And 1361 to go until this political nighmare ends.
Maybe Barack can tell us about his personal contribution to Earth Day. Burning 9000 gallons of Jet A fuel to fly around the country and talk about, Earth Day.
Obama going to talk about how he hasn't been on the cover of Time in a while? Ooops, nevermind. The dry spell is over.
As someone who voted for Bush/Cheney, I'm deeply ashamed of what the GOP has become.
And?

No real news here. Is this a news organization or a helper app to update my Facebook calendar?
It's always a special occasion when Barack Obama talks to us over the tele.  What a perfect way to celebrate Obama's first 100 days of success in office!

In Obama We Trust!
You won already!!!!  Damn, give it a rest !!
Norah O'Donnell was great in her interview with Liz Cheney, ' DICK's ' daughter the ex-VP.  Norah looked like she wanted to spit in her face when she said what her father did was not torture. What a liar she is.  Then she had the nerve to say how good it worked, and said "what about the terrorests, they would cut a soldiers head off--well duh--That is beside the point [We are Americans not Terrorists] we do not torture.
Nels Richardson, Upstate NY

Apparently you haven't watched an Obama speech or press conference, because those are exactly the subjects he has been talking about.

And those are the problems he has been working on trying to solve while the republicans have found reasons to say no to everything he's done.

Jealous much?

Obama sure loves the Cameras!

I wont be watching!

Im tired of Obama, Paris Hilton, Britney Spears and all the other camera clowns.  (I also forgot Michael Jackson)

Do you know how to keep Obama from ever leaving the Oval Office?

Put a camera in it!!!
Do not be humble on your 100th day in office.

Don't worry.  Obama and humble are two words that never belong in the same sentence.
Hey No Joe, No BO - there is no discrepancy.  If you would recall, the percentage of people who approved of the direction the country was headed just before Obama took office was somewhere in the teens, if that.  The fact that it has been rising since January 20 is consistent with the President's high approval rating.

How quickly they forget (about Bush)
Maybe Barack can tell us about his personal contribution to Earth Day. Burning 9000 gallons of Jet A fuel to fly around the country and talk about, Earth Day.
Brent Allen, Columbus Ohio (Sent Thursday, April 23, 2009 3:38 PM)

Maybe he can do what Bush did & go to Texas what seemed like every other damn week to take another vacation & cut brush (one assumes because no thinking was involved).

Whine about something relevant why don't you.
President Obama is an activist president unlike his predecessor who allowed the VP to run the show most of the time. What a pleasure to have a media savy, sincere guy who works for ALL Of US, even you pathetic whinning GOPer losers, yes even you.

Thanks for sharing so much with us Mr. President.

Hint: For anyone who does not think President Obama is consistent, get a copy of his Audacity of Hope, (better in audio form in my opinion). Even the mose radical of your rightest will discover that he has thought through is positions for a long time and has put the changes in motion that we all know are needed.

As Eric likes to say. "In Obama we trust!" :)
Cool.  Now we can start on the 2nd hundred days.

Is this like having a baby, where it's days, weeks and then months old?

On January 19, 2009 will the administration be 364 days old, 51 and 6/7ths weeks old, or 11 30/31 months old?

Will each 100 days be marked by a snoozer, er, newser?
whine, whine, whine:

First what an appropriate moniker!

Second, Brent is light years more relevant in his comment.  Yours is a complete non-sequitur.

At least you are posting more than just the lowest of a mean now....so hats off.

I think where the discrepency is, is that the country heading in the right direction is a summation of all actions by congress and the president...and that's both sides.

65% approval of Obama is his actions alone...
Yoga for the right-wing.

1.) Sit cross-legged on the floor.
2.) Close your eyes and breathe deeply.
3.) Form a picture in your mind of something that comforts you (a Bible, a Gun, the confederate flag, Sarah Palin).
4.) Chant the following mantra: TELEPROMPTER...TELEPROMPTER...TELEPROMPTER

9 out of 10 right wingnuts, including Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, and Michelle Bachmann, recommend these steps for good mental health.
