Deeds with the momentum in Virginia

From NBC's Harry Enten
With Virginia's Democratic gubernatorial primary less than a week away, two new public polls show state Sen. Creigh Deeds leading his better-known rivals, although within the margin of error.

In a new Suffolk University survey, Deeds is favored by 29% of likely primary voters, while former DNC Chairman Terry McAuliffe is at 26%, and former state Del. Brian Moran is at 23%. More than a fifth of the voters (23%) remain undecided.

A Daily Kos/Research 2000 poll also has Deeds in the lead with 30%, but it's Moran at 27% who holds the second spot. McAuliffe is in third at 26%, while 17% of the electorate is undecided.

Deeds has gained an impressive 17 percentage points since the last Daily Kos/Research 2000 poll conducted two weeks ago. In that May poll, McAuliffe led with 36% of the vote, Moran was in second with 22%, and Deeds was well back in third at 13%.

Still, whoever emerges victorious next Tuesday will still face an uphill climb in the general election against Republican Bob McDonnell.

According to the new Daily Kos/Research 2000 poll, McDonnell leads Deeds 46%-34%, McAuliffe 46%-33%, and Moran 43%-35% in potential general election match-ups.

Did anyone hear the comment Ari Fleischer made to CBS about President Obama's speech being 'too balanced'...?

This is beyond the realm of sensible. How in the world of true diplomacy does one be 'too balanced’? The right-wingers are becoming more and more like the nut-jobs the far left paint them out as being. Ari the comments you made today personify stupidity and the [lack of] reigns in which it was allowed to run free during your bosses Administration.

For this type of comment to not be challenged on a wider scale would be a detriment to the conversation the American people need to have about the direction various groups and individuals would like to see this country move. Talk about not walking the talk of fair and ‘balanced.’
Deeds has a small lead early but there is a lot of time before the election and things could change at to who the favorite is.  I wouldn't crow too much if I were McDonnell since it looks like he's the lone repugnant one while there are three Democrats vying for Democratic Party votes.  Once the primary is over look to see the Democrat candidate make the race much different as Democrats unite against the repugnant one.

In Democrats We Trust!
Go Lakers!
People must finally be listening to Terry McAuliffe.
Please. You quote the New York Times, and here you quote the DailyKos. Lets stick with legitimate news sources only please.
Lee, Dallas:

True diplomacy isn't about balance or starting even, it's about advantage.  Otherwise, it's capitulation.

I want our diplomats with an advantage (unbalanced) at all times.  It's their duty and the President's duty to put our interests first (above, unbalanced) at all times.

Never put yourself in the position of granting concessions that put you at the disadvantage.

You can bet that all world diplomats operate under the same philosophy.
Oh, and "Fair and Balanced" is all about you hearing my opinion and other opposing opinions, not not just the opposition acquiescing to yours.

So Fleischer's comments are just a contribution to "Fair and Balanced".  Without his comments there is less balance to Obama's words.

Works both ways but really has nothing to do with diplomacy.

What does Dallas, TX, Salinas, CA, Washington State and NYC have to do with Virginia Politics?
Life is about perceptions.  People perceive Daily Kos is important and hence it becomes such.  If people would just ignore these kooks they might go away.
What does Dallas, TX, Salinas, CA, Washington State and NYC have to do with Virginia politics?
We have had two loser Governors in a row and do not want another.
You mean they should quote legitimate news sources like those owned by Murdock?  Murdock owns too many media sources which makes one wonder how legitimate those sources are.
