When is the Obama adoring media going to grow up? You act like this man has done something, like he's somehow important. He's done nothing, except swat a fly. You keep this hero worship up every day, and for what? Obama this, and Obama that. The man walks on water, at least in your minds. When are you going to start to cover this man for real? When do the tough questions start? When does the standing up when he walks in the room end? When does the bowing cease? When are you going to start doing your jobs?

Are you talking about the same media that still continues to give face time Dick Cheney to basically act as the titular head of the GOP while ignoring real progressive voices like Dennis Kucinich?

Are you talking about the same media that gleefully televises liberals like Paul Krugman criticizing the President, but not interviewing Krugman when he agrees with the President?

Are you talking about MSNBC, which frequently interviews Jon Turley, a libertarian, on so-called liberal talk shows like Rachel Maddow so that he can complain that Obama should be impeached for not prosecuting Bush?

Finally, are you talking about Fox News, an entire network, whose idea of political discourse is engage in name calling directed at the President, and whose head, Roger Ailes, was a GOP operative?

Did you really think that PETA HAD credibility?  Worthy cause?  In a lot of ways, yes.  Credibility?  Not in the least.

Dear Mike T.,  Lighten up.  People stand up when a president (of either party) or other world leader enters the room.  It is a sign of respect for the office, if not the individual.  Incidentally, nobody bows to a president.  I didn't care much for President Bush, but I at least tried to maintain a respectful attitude toward him, if only because of the office he held.  Life is much more pleasant if a person does not allow himself to be filled with bile, hatred and distain for those with which he disagrees.
