Michelle does let the kids watch Letterman so they can hear all the Sarah Palin jokes. Michelle hates Sarah.

My kids will actually watch politics and speeches with us.  My daughter was as plugged into the election as I was.  But she loves her some Hannah Montana and Zach and Cody.  All things in moderation.

I am not black, so I can’t speak to why blacks don’t like him.  I don’t like him because he is worse than a puppet on a string.  My main objection to him is that when in a position of authority, he abused that authority.  He was degrading to subordinate women who had the misfortune of needing their jobs so badly they couldn’t report his offenses.  And when he was called upon to tell the truth about his offenses under oath, he refused to do so.  And even further than that, he allowed Anita Hill to be vilified.  He showed me that he is at best a Coward and at worst a dishonest snake willing to let an innocent victim of his ‘sense of humor’ take additional crap by his party.  To have him sit on the highest court and hear cases such as Lilly Ledbetter’s and have him return the rote, party line of how it might retrospectively affect commerce (those he actually represents), well as a woman that sickens me.  I am sure we can find commendable things about all human beings; but we can’t just magically erase those offenses that personally affect us.  I see an opportunity to remind people that Clarence Thomas and John McCain made their infamous ‘indiscretions’ (inappropriate office humor and Keating Five scandals) while they were in their 50’s.  We aren’t talking youthful indiscretions; but rather entitled character flaws that come from not being held accountable for their actions.

To turn your argument on its head, why does the right wing hate Sonia Sotamayor?  Isn’t hers also a ‘classic’ American story?

Of all the statements sent in only one understands that american children watch far too much television and that the obama girls are well behaved. As for their father, the President.  The man has been in office (5) months and people expect him to correct all of the failures of the last (8) years in that short space of time.  Where were these people while Bush was screwing up the country?  If these nay-sayers wanted to involve themselves in making this country better they would e-mail, twitter their congress person or senator and ask them to agree with a public option for health care.  After all what the Repugnants are saying about this option is a lie, and their ads might as well be describing private health care.  It amazes me how ignorant and ready to listen to naysayers who are rich and do no give a damn about the average person in this country are even listening to these apathetic people and believing every word.  I bet when these "law-makers" get together they laugh about how gullible most americans are.  None of you deserve a president that cares and is willing to do all he can to make things better.  Just keep going along with the status quo, sit on your lazy butts and complain when you are doing absolutely NOTHING to make things better!
