Congress: Pelosi's gamble

The Hill: "Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.)

is moving forward with a floor vote on climate change legislation this week even though many Democrats are undecided on the controversial bill. Pelosi’s gamble to schedule a Friday vote is one of the riskiest moves she has made as Speaker. There are at least eight Democrats who are firm ‘no’ votes, while many others are on the fence."

Video: Officials in Washington, D.C., still don’t know what caused two commuter trains to collide, but there are several clues they are considering. NBC’s Kelly O’Donnell reports.

"Public transit advocates seized on Monday’s commuter rail crash in Washington to make the case for overhauling the country’s transportation system."

An act of desperation. The Democrats want to get something done, anything done, so it looks like they have at least some credibility. The wheels have totally fallen off of the Democrats big plans, and Nancy is trying to strong arm something through her House.
Pelosi is doing this right before the big holiday so that people won't be paying much attention to what a failure she and Reid have been at getting anything done. Both have huge majorities in the House and Senate, yet it's like herding cats trying to nail down Democrats that other ideas.
Atleast there's one Democrat with the courage to stand up to the deafening whine of the dopes of nope, Nancy Pelosi.  I'm glad that she is not afraid to put forth the climate change legislation this week so we can get that passed and behind us as another great legislative victory over the party of sore losers.  If there are only 8 Dems who aren't courageous enough to vote for climate change in the House then it's a shoe in.

In Nancy Pelosi We Trust!
Turn off your air conditioner everybody.  We don't want to destroy all life on earth, do we?

93,000,000 miles from Earth, the sun is laughing at us.  How incredibly arrogant of humans to think that we have any control over the natural cycles that our planet has been processing for millenniums.  Once, North America was covered with a sheet of ice.  That ice melted, long before air conditioners, lawn mowers, and motorized vehicles.  I am still waiting for an explanation of how that happened.

I will accept man made global warming as fact, as soon as Al Gore stops profiting from it.  That won't be happening any time soon.
Pelosi's idiocy on her climate change legislation is only superceeded by Al Gore's George Carlin-like climate forcasts.

Gore is a hippy-dippy weatherman with all the hippy dippy weather, man. A kook in a suit and tie. Gee, who does that remind me of?

May a continuing snowfall follow Pelosi's climate change legislation all the way to the dumpster outside the capitol building.
Why is everything always a rush job for the Democrats?  If your ideas are so superior, they should be able to withstand debate and scrutiny.

The stimulus package was an emergency.  Health care is an emergency.  Climate change is an emergency.  We see what speed did for the stimulus package.  Given the costs associated with health care and climate change, we can't afford (quite literally, I'm afraid) to limit review on these bills.
Al Gore took exactly ONE college level science course-environmental science-and earned a D.

For this, he got a Nobel prize, which tells me all I need to know about the Nobel committee.  Look in to who benefits from 'cap and trade'.  Why, it's Al Gore!  and the 'trade' company he established to move all those credits through!

I'll be darned!!
Climate change is a fact, bad or no healthcare a fact, economic failure a fact, Sotomeyor a great judge is a fact. A president who communicates with other countries without bombing. These are the talking points that the republicans are fighting. Even with the majority of voting people wanting to see change for the betterment of their lives, the republican "talking heads" are making a very good living just trashing any attempts to resolve these situations. Something stinks. The enemies are within not without.
