Madoff is 71 years old.

There was no fine. All Madoff assets will go to the victims.

Madoff, like so many liberal cheats, got what he needed to get, UNLIKE some of the rat-tailed demagogues who rule the unethical world of the Democratic Party.
That is really not enough time. he should have gotten as many years as the amount of people whose lives he destroyed. Next, the  criminal to be sentenced should be Cheney. He is already representing himself in the media with his daughter.
A good decision by the federal court that had better not be overturned by the bushwhacked Supreme Court.  I'm glad that the judge made sure to take away all of Ponzi Madoff's assets to make some amends to all those ripped off by this convicted felon.

Justice is Served!

Na, na, na na, na, na, na na..hey, hey, hey..good bye...serves him right. This should send a clears message that this type of BS will not be tolerated.

Now it's time to go after the rest of them. A shout out for victory to the families that have lost their life's savings!
Had the Madoffs not tried to hide all their assets as the scheme unraveled, I might have felt sympathy for Mr. Madoff.  Their millions were stolen from others and to try to keep them showed me they felt no remorse--actions speak louder than words.
Madoff did what to his investors what congress and Obama are doing to the American people. Obama snd congress are ripping us off just as bad a Madoff has done to his investors.
Technically his wife got to keep the 2.5 Million in cash, right?  I read that over the weekend.

It's not a Billion; but it's more than she deserves.

When will we find out who all was complicit OR involved in this scheme.
I'm glad they threw the book at this scam artist,Now get his kids, his wife, and all the others that where involved.I know one person can't pull off a scam like this with out help. And i hope he doesn't get a country club suite with a view of the golf coarse. He deserves hard labor, and a cell at a super max.
Well isn't that just poetic justice....bet he serves all of 3 years out of it.  This man should have been hung in full view of the public right in the center of Wall St. - might serve as a reminder to the rest of the crooks that work in the industry.  He and his type have not only ruined the lives of so many of their clients, they are also pseudo responsible for the crippled financial industry - will all the failed companies and endeavors, it's now wonder most folks don't have an iota of confidence in these people and industry......
Not nearly long enough, he should be bricked in hole and fed through a slit. Then when the inevitable end comes seal the thing and leave it unmarked.
As it should be.  Now it is time to prosecute his wife and all the others who engaged in his criminal behavior.
150 years. That's how long it may take to get the US out of the debt hell Obama is putting it in.
Madoff has a lot of experience with ponizi schemes. Maybe the government should put him to work on the Social Security system.
Good, be gone with you creep.  The part about no fine bugs me tho.  I wonder how many assets he's had time to divert to bank accounts unknown?
How do the victims feel about Madoff getting 150 years? The same way they felt about him before he got the sentence. Broke.

If ever you're in a position that an investor you are working with is making a lot more money for you, more then anyone else can come close to making, you might be working with a con man. Where I don't have any sympathy for Madoff, I also do not have any sympathy for his investors. Stupid is as stupid does.
May he rot in his organge jump suit!
I hope he likes "Big Bubba"
So Bernie will be out in 2159. At least he has that going for him.

But wait! There's more! Usually federal sentences are reduced to 85% of their length for good behavior. So Bernie really will get out in 2136.
A rich white man does *not* get away with it.  Now *that* is change I can believe in!
This is justice
Madoff wouldn't cooperate and disclose any co-conspiritors

Presumably, his wife and family were up to their eyeballs in this scheme

Let's hope there isn't any reversal on this case or sentence

He GOT EXACTLY what he deserved... nice to see the missus riding the NY subway... no more limos for you there missy!

Next up Bobblehead Bush & the Dick and so on... wonder if club fed will be big enough to hold them all?
Always a good day when a New York Liberal money man gets his. Now get the rest of them in jail.
Good.  He will die in prison but he was just the unlucky fool who got caught.  Think of how many got away with similar crimes against investors and tax payers alike during the Wall St. frenzy...
Praise the Lord, One greedy bastard finally gets what he deserves. The greed of this man is unbelievable and anybody who feel sorry for him needs their heads examined. I hope that he love his cell and his new cell mate BUBBA. Bubba will most likely want to play hide the monkey game with Bernie so let the games begin. Enjoy Bernie you deserve everything that you are about to get.
Madoff, like so many liberal cheats, got what he needed to get, UNLIKE some of the rat-tailed demagogues who rule the unethical world of the Democratic Party.

Oh, yes, because the right has been shown to be SUCH a paragon of truth and virtue, haven't they?

Wow, you're just making this up as you go along, aren't you.
