From NBC's Mark Potter
In an interview with NBC News this morning, Gov. Mark Sanford (R) said categorically he will not resign as governor of South Carolina.

He said he intends to spend the last 18 months of his term improving his approach to proposing legislation.

He says he has consulted with a number of friends and spiritual advisers. All encouraged him to stay in office, which he says now he will do.

Typical self centered Republicant!  Go figure! Feisty Redhead Roselle, IL (Sent Monday, June 29, 2009 12:50 PM)

He is just following the shining moral example set by your beloved Bill Clinton.
The sex scandal is blinding everyone, especially the infotainment media (which used to do investigative journalism), to the fact that the governor broke the law in using taxpayer money to engage in a cross-continental tryst. Paying the money bacck is not the point--do we let bank robbers off, or 150 years Mad'off' for that matter, because they pay some of the money back?

Governor Sanford will be the lamest duck of all time.
Governor Sanford. Resign. Period you are a sham, a fraud, an incompetent self promoting fool. We have had enough of you.
