NEW JERSEY: “Chris Christie walked out of a blockbuster congressional hearing last week with an air of defiance, saying he survived a political booby trap and would get right back to his own campaign agenda,” the Newark Star-Ledger reports. “But Democrats say they are not finished pursuing the questions they've raised about Christie, who leads Democratic Gov. Jon Corzine by 10 points in most polls. They vow to raise them again with proposed legislation, a forthcoming report and perhaps more hearings.”

NEW YORK: Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand got NARAL’s endorsement.

Giuliani says he’s considering running for governor.

Depleted resources I would say...
I say we hold all of these individuals to our presidents vetting process and see what shakes loose.
We should be looking at all politicians that closely.
It may discourage some crooks out there from serving.

If you are not crook in New Jersey, you don't get elected. That is why the Democrats have been so successful in that state. Republicans have some catching up to do, but I'm certain they are up to the task.
Juliano running for govenor???? He would fit right in with the "family values " governors
From what I heard from and about Christie, I'm not sure he really knows what he would do if he were elected governor.  He thinks that getting corruption would cut out problems in the budget as well as cutting the number of state workers.  That won't do it.  As governor, he can't prosecute anyone since he isn't a law enforcement agent.  I thought that he would have known that.  At least that isn't as bad as George W(oman) Bush saying, "What do they think Social Security is?  Some sort of Federal program?"  He was wrong because it is.
