It's part of the physics of politics: When you're trailing in a race, you go negative. And here's a TV spot from New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine (D) hitting challenger Chris Christie (R).

Per the Corzine campaign, the ad will air throughout the state over the coming weeks.

Corzine. Just one of many Democrat that will pay for Obama's mistakes. Jon is another one that hasn't seen a tax increase that he doesn't like. New Jersey is #1 in taxes paid in the country, even beating out California. And Obama wants even more of our money. Maybe after Corzine losses, Obama can appoint him to be some kind of a czar in his administration.
Jon Corzine doesn't have a leg to stand on. Just another corrupt governor from the Northeast.
Won't help.

The state newspaper has an article about the brother of Corzine's girlfried, Carla Katz, and the pay-off he got from Corzine-seems he thought the governor promised him a private sector job when he got forced out of his no-show state job.  Anyway, this joker is writing a tell-all book-just in time for the election.

Besides which, Christi, who has done nothing wrong with these pre-trial interventions, has no trouble speaking about them, with all the credibility of a man who is telling the truth.

Dump Corzine in '09!
It's crazy to me that people would continue to vote a confirmed crook into office simply because they have a (D) next to their name. This is like Washinton DC relecting Barry as Mayor after the crack/prostitution situation.
Silly Democrats.

Hateful bunch, aren't they?

Wrong there Kyle obama will be reelected because republicans will have no new ideas , rathet the status quo and someone that can handle stuff overseas with a cool head instead of someone from the opposite party always wanting to declare war on a country like Iraq for no reason.

Carla! Almost forgot about her. With Sanford taking so much grief, you'd think Jon would take the same. Not only did Corzine date Katz while he was married, he hired her at a no-show job. And for the Democrats, it just doesn't matter. But Sanford does half as much, and Olbermann has material for six months.

Dg Houston i Guess you kind of knew by now that the W in George Bushies name stood for war!!!!! georgie had war on the brain when he went into office funny how you can criticise my president but yet you cant even remark how clueless ole bushie really was!! Now go and come up with some new ideas and get back with us later!!!!!
Constitutents don't always pay attention to whats really going on....

Classic mis-informed/low-information voters:
        George W. Bush = 8 years

Priceless!
New Jersey is the poster child for democrat one party rule monopoly  train wrecks. Virtually everything about the state is wrong. Too many high paid public employees, outrageous RE taxes.Just think of something bad and NJ has plenty of it The state is choking on its own mess and yes Jon Corzine and the dem controlled legislature needs to be unelected ASAP. Now the only question that arises is if Christie wins is he going to forget his campaign promises and simply morph into a blue hued democrat? That is always the problem. Another problem? Are the citizens of NJ ready to bite the bullet and have the state payroll and services cut. NJ's lifestyle will be cramped but that is the price the people need to pay to get their financial house in order. Oh yeah plan on big flack from the employee unions. They will be out in mega goon force for this fight.
Anna Molly or Molly Anna (whichever)

What happened to the personality?
What happened to the dynamics?
What happened to the political balance?
What happened to Anna Molly?
Now you're completely one of THEM.
Anna Molly's ... folly.

Missouri's retiring Republican Senator will most surely go to Robin Carnahan - and the D's pick up another,...

There was an article on this weeks ago.  They way the climate is, Dems pick up at least 2-3 more in 2010.
I was in NYC June 19-23 and I saw plenty of attack ads against Corzine. The disclaimer indicated they were from special interest groups, and not Christie. However, given the number of ads these groups were running I wouldn't interpret Corzine's negative ad as the launch of negative ads, but as the response.

For what was Corzine convicted? That would be the only way you could call him a confirmed crook.

=====================================================

Bush got elected twice . . . oh yeah! so did Nixon!
I do not know enough about John Corzine to either criticise or defend.  But I do question millions in no-bid contracts no matter which party does it.  Corzine like many other governors of both parties are in trouble because of the economic collapse.  Typically we blame the person in charge for whatever happens; sometimes they deserve it, sometimes not.  Christi does not sound like an improvement for NJ just because he has an "R" after his name.  Is Christi's answer for the problems tax cuts?  That's the GOP answer to every problem.
So, after 4 years in office, all Corzine can say is the "other guy" is worse than me? I don't think Corzine has done much good, but, I have been willing to keep an open mind. If this is all Corzine can say, the hell with 'em.
The word that is getting lossed is Contingency. Whai is the meaning of CONTINGENCY? It certinally isn’t  we will  is it?

For you daft republicans that were salivating all over yourselves earlier ove a contingency of an another stimulus package.

Definition:
1. An unknown or unforeseen future event or condition
2. Something dependent on a possible future event

Sorry for the earlier posting, was posting on the fly, trying to get to the Memorial Service for MJ.
