Congress mum on Rove testimony

From NBC's Mike Viqueira

House side sources are being very tight lipped about the Karl Rove testimony. Under the agreement reached earlier this year, none of the participants are allowed to speak publicly until all interviews have been concluded and transcripts have been released.

Having said that, we have confirmed from the congressional side that testimony did take place yesterday, and another session is planned for later this month.

"The agreement setting up the interviews contemplated that they would remain entirely confidential until all the interviews were complete," Rove's attorney Robert Luskin said in a statement to NBC News. "Out of respect for that term of the agreement, Mr. Rove is not commenting."

Come'on Liberals. More pile on time! We need to talk about Rove, Palin, Sanford, Bush, Cheney, the last eight years, Franken, and 60 votes in the Senate! We need to distract people from the realities of double digit unemployment, a huge and increasing deficit, the failure of the fisrt stimulus package, the train-wreck of Obama's visit to Russia, and our big ticket issues like cap and trade and health care legislation being dead.

Can we distract America?

Yes We Can!!
Rove is a scum bag - the worst American ever to exist.

Thank you and GOD BLESS AMERICA

The media and their 24 hour new rants - are the culprits of the continued saga of the stimulus efforts and effects. (As they quietly try to forget who is really responsible for the economic crisis – let me remind you – GEORGE BUSH!!!!

Some of you media folks are so quick to get news and when it doesn't come fast enough - you exploit and expand whatever it is you do get.

Even in this piece it mentions that the Obama's administration said it would be in the new year and beyond before the efforts of the stimulus is truly felt or will begin to make a different.

However, some of you media folks and the GOP; continue to try and bring doubt and focus the bright  light on any statically gloomy news about the economy and then parallel it against the stimulus.

Honestly, you media folks are so caught up in being the first to air something - that your ethical responsibility sometimes is set aside more often than none.

It's time to be the free press and report the facts; I often wonder exactly when, did the media become FUTURE tellers - instead of a news organization.

With some many haters, hoping President Obama's stimulus doesn't work - just to satisfy their political agendas or to discredit the first Black President - way can't the media be sensitive to those things and just report the facts?

I get so tired of so called experts, trying to predict an outcome and MOST of the time they are dead wrong.

It's time for an overhaul of the media - that's a fact.

Thank you and GOD BLESS AMERICA
This is setting up perfectly for the Republicans. A needless investigation going on in Congress, the very Congress that is spending taxpayers money like a drunken sailor, unemployment skyrocketing, Obama failing at each and every turn. A 50 seat pickup in the House is not out of reach next year. 60 is a possibility too. And yes, it's that bad for the Democrats.
I can't wait to hear what Kriminal Karl had to say, surely another pack of lies that hopefully he will be caught out on.  It's time for this liar and cheat to get his day in court and years in prison for his sinful ways.  It was sad to know that Fitzgerlad let him change his lying testimoney several times, but then Fitzgerald never intended to do anything but whitewash the White Houses's role in the attorney firings.  Plus we need to know what role Kriminal Karl had in Don Siegel's politically motivated court case and prison term that Kriminal Karl engineered.

I see that Moron Ron Paul is at it again trying to destroy the Federal Reserve and throw our country into monetary anarachy.  He whines about the Fed creating money out of thin air, but what does he expect will happen if the Fed is gone and every bank in the country is creating money out of thin air?  The Democrats need to grow a spine and just say no to this moronic anarchist who is heck bent on destroying our secular democracy.

Kriminal Karl Belongs in Prison!
Some people complain that Obama and the Democrats are doing too much. In truth, they are doing nothing at all, except bankrupting America, and no one sees that as a positive.
When Rove is not under oath, he sings like a bird.  When he are under oath and have to tell the truth...Rove and his lawyers don't want to talk about it. Bush's Brain tried (and partially succeeded) in corrupting the entire DOJ. Rove and Cheney should share the same jail cell.
I hope what ever Rove said was under oath and recorded.  With what he has done to the American political system, he should be barred from having anything to do with politics for at least 10 years.  He politicized what should have been an office free from that -- the Justice Department!

If you think they are doing nothing, I wonder what you would consider "too much", or even "something"? Is it that they are not following a strict conservative agenda? Is that what's bothering you? Anything else is "nothing"?

Apparently the protections of “Politically Correct” speech only apply to a very select population. If you are Caucasian or heterosexual male or Christian, or even just a registered Republican, you are fair game for the vilest remarks from the Left.

There are plenty of derogatory names and jokes people could make about Barack Obama and Rahm Emanuel but the gutless PC press would not repeat them even if you waterboarded their senior editor!

Respect is earned not given. Keep a civil tongue in your head Lefties.
Hearing Karl Rove's name reminds me of the liberal hypocrisy in US politics.  The same left-leaning folks who claimed Mr Rove "controlled" the Bush administration didn't have any problem (last Oct/Nov) when some high ranking libs gave Obama a "checklist" of items to push in order to win the election vs McCain.  Or when he did his famous Europe rock star tour, along with a gazzillion advisers to help him know what to say.  And how about Rahm Immmanuel his man behind the scenes who has told us that every crisis should be taken advantage of.  And to think liberals are so concerned about Rove????  Remember, it's team Obama that has had pre-arranged media questions.  It's team Obama that has so controlled media question times and town hall meetings that even liberal leaning journalists like Helen Thomas and Chip Reid have protested and said they lacked authenticity and were worse than any previous administration they'd ever covered......
With some many haters, hoping President Obama's stimulus doesn't work - just to satisfy their political agendas or to discredit the first Black President - way can't the media be sensitive to those things and just report the facts?

Yet another racist comment when the fact is it is the current administration that is spending the money.  Many experts said at the time that the effects would not be felt until next year BECAUSE OF the way the legislation was written (by the party in power...or maybe they want the first black president to fail?)

Either way the stimulus is not working yet because it was designed that way.  The up tick should come in time for the mid-terms, as was intended.  However, if they have misread the economy and the up tick is weak, or ther maybe a double dip recession then they will be in trouble at the polls, and not because of some racist fantasy you have.
by "tight lipped", are you saying constipation?  I ask because he was commonly referred to as 'turd blossom' by "W" and the metaphor was entirely too funny to not point out.
If the whole "Bush Crime Family" thinks and believes what they did for 8 years, unchecked, was so wonderful for the country, why, just why do they refuse to talk about it?....could it be that the truth will not set them free!

Rove belongs in prison! Maybe he can get his GED while there.....
The Democrap Sodier

Now you know you don't mean that about the man who got Bush elected and re-elected when everyone was so sure Kerry would easily win. It didn't happen, did it, and it was ALL do to the genius of Karl Rove.

Man, what I have to do to keep these nut jobs in the asylum and the record straight.

The Justice Dept. has always been political. THEY ARE POLITICAL APPOINTEES!!! They cant help but be political. Maybe they werent as public as it is today with the internet and 24hr news. Bush was the first POTUS that had to deal with this.

Come on lets keep throwing stupid comments out there like your aprty the repukes do and like they did during the campaign!!!!!!!
Until people understand that the two business owned political are going to do nothing different - nothing will REALLY change.  Alternative political parties are constantly shut out of reporting due to the fact that the journalism industry has a cozy money relationship with those parties.

Also kind of interesting that one of the Rove's key people in possible fraudulent electronic election results is now dead-Mike Connell.

It only took a few years for Rove to testify
  http://www.governmentalityblog.com/my_weblog/2009/07/karl-rove-finally-deposed.html

The testimony was very long too- over 8 hours I believe.
Wow - to Alan - don't speak for me - if you have an opinion about what I say fine.  But you don't know me and you have no earthly idea about my character.

Also, yes the current administration is spending the money - but what is your point?

Being that you agreed to what I had already said.

The fact is - no matter how much I wish people just looked at President Obama as the person he is and not his skin color – it’s obvious in some degree that people do wish he fail because he is black.  (Tea parties ring any bells).

I don't make that crap up - so get a clue before you open your mouth.

Thank you and GOD BLESS AMERICA

Wow!  What are you smoking?  Do you have any more and will you share?  That's GOT to be some really good stuff, man.
Eric, the best thing to happen for liberals is for your hands to get cut off and you lose the ability to type.  You make all them look dumb and it's not their fault.

Half the things you write are complete BS, and the other half are so freaking immersed in half truths that they appear to be BS.

Ron Paul - banks can't create money out of thin air.  If you read anything, you know he wants to go back to the gold standard.  I disagree with the gold standard concept, but on a educated basis.  You just sound bat crap crazy.  And since when the hell was Ron Paul hellbent on destroying our secular democracy.  Libertarian Republicans are at odds a lot of the time with social conservative and neocon Republicans.  Ron Paul couldn't be further from those two groups.

Is everything bad that happens the "bushwacker's" fault?  Some of the liberals on here raise good points that I can intellectually debate with, but I think if your car tire blew out, you'd blame Bush for not funding roads enough.
It is fairly Rove has engaged in improper and possibly illegal acts. He should be exposed for the miscreant he is.

Unless it's under oath, it ain't worth squat.
Under Bush and Rove, Republicans wrecked the economy and disgraced America. It will take decades to fix the mess they made.
