How very cruel of you.  You really assume a lot.
1)  I *HAVE* tried both Taco Bell and Burger King. What makes you think I haven't.
2) You imply that fast food workers are idiots.  In this day and age, all kinds of college-educated people are taking fast-food jobs for lack of something better.  And all you can do is berate them.
3)Yes, unemployment CAN be a lagging indicator, but my ex-boss told me that my termination was solely due to Obama's and his car czars and task force.

It is just cruel to come down hard on those of us that are down on our luck.  I said I was willing to work and I mean it.  Hopefully you never have to experience the hardship I am going through.

What, pray tell, was he ELECTED to that would reqire a REelection? He was APPOINTED to Senator after all. He probably sees the writing on the wall and knows he wouldn't win if he did run for the Senate.

Roland Burris had no business serving as one of the U.S. Senators for the state of Illinois, especially at the behest of the tainted Governor Rod Blagojevich.

He should have stepped down as soon as the indictments had been handed down against the disgraced former governor.

At least this will give the Republicans another chance to win the Senate Seat in a Strongly Democratic state,

Leaves the door wide open for the already named Republican to get elected since the democrats would be so fractured of getting anyone even 1/16th decent to run.  We can already see that this would be due to their already lackluster public approval sinking downward to the abyss on the tramp steamer Obama.

It is about time for him to do this.  He seems to understands now that the taint of his appointer still follows him.  Since he didn't understand that at first, he really need to step down.  He can run in the next election.

Who cares?  Not like he's done a damn thing anyway, except now he can receive a retirement check forever!

This is great, he shouldn't have taken the seat from Blagojevic anyway. It was unethical of him to do so under the circumstances of which he accepted it. He allowed himself to be used as a pawn by a man that wasn't worthy of being Governor on Illinois. I say good riddance. The republicans should say the same to Ensign and Sanford should resign as well.
