More logistics for Sotomayor's hearing

From NBC's Mark Murray
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Pat Leahy and Ranking Member Jeff Sessions just escorted Sonia Sotomayor into the Senate Judiciary Committee briefing room, before the start of the hearing.

Video: Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., speaks with a Morning Joe panel about where Judge Sonia Sotomayor stands on the idea of impartial justice.

Sotomayor's guests will include, according to a White House adviser:
-- Celina Sotomayor (mother)
-- Juan Sotomayor (brother)
-- Omar Lopez (step father)
-- Tracey Sotomayor (sister-in-law)
-- Kiley Sotomayor (niece)
-- Connor and Corey Sotomayor (nephews)
-- New York Congresswoman Nydia Velazquez
-- New York Congressman Jose Serrano
-- Louis Freeh (who was her mentor when she served on the federal district court in New York)
-- Chief Judge Dennis Jacobs and Judge Robert Katzmann (2nd Circuit Court of Appeals)

And Jerry Mathers, as "The Beaver".
Positions please. Which one plays wide receiver?
Knock 'em dead, Judge Sotomayor!
Love to see MSNBC tv showing us the Sotomayor hearings.  I'm so going to enjoy seeing Sonia make fools out of the dopes of nope who try to trick her with their petty partisan trick questions.  She's going to show them that they are all wrong about her being somehow racist and out of touch with Mainstream America.  The heavy hitting witnesses for Sotomayor are going to make a fool out of the one whiny little white supremacist firefighter that will speak against her.  So sad to see Ricci make firemen look bad.  It will be fun to see how impotent the dopes of nope are at trying to derail her confirmation.

Just Say Yes to Sotomayor!
"For Republicans, ‘rationing’ could be that poison-tipped arrow for the Democratic-led health care bill, much as ‘amnesty’ was the club with which conservatives beat President Bush's attempt at immigration reform into a bloody pulp in 2007.”

Everyone is starting to see it. The American people do not want the kind of socialistic health care reform Obama and his liberal friends are trying to ram down Americas throat. People also do not want Cap and Trade, and they don't want all these bailouts. Obama has hit the trifecta in a very bad way, and he will pay at the voting booth next year.
OBAMA & SOTOMAYOR === WE ARE NO LONGER A 'NATION OF LAWS.'

WE ARE FOLLOWING THE PATH THAT LEAD UP TO WORLD WAR TWO --- USING THE JUDICIARY TO PUT A 'STAMP OF APPROVAL' ON A GOVERNMENT'S UNCONSTITUTIONAL ACTIONS.

HISTORY DOES REPEAT!
So?
No need for a seat belt folks... this excursion is gonna be smooth sailing!

The party of stale - male & pale are going to have to sit back and take it 'Like a Man!'

Great choice Mr. President - you boxed them straight into a 'Checkmate'!

Say hello to our next member of the SCOTUS! WhooHoo!
Sotomayer should not be confirmed. She is a racist with a color-coded view of how the law should be applied.
How come they didn't mention the New Black Panthers that are there to ensure Sonia's confirmation??

Thanks to George Bush & Dick Cheney, that is. They tried every way they could to circumvent the constitution, Congress, and the Supreme Court. Bush's administration brought this country to the brink of losing its soul due to its disdain for the laws and moral positions we've held since America was founded. Geneva Conventions? Who needs 'em? Bush mocked them. Cheney ignored them, constantly asking his lawyers for ways to get around them.

President Obama, in one of his first acts of office, signed an executive order restoring our adherence to these Conventions, to the U.S. Army Manual, and to the 8th Amendment. Sixteen military officials stood with him. They know firsthand how dangerous it is for our country when our bedrock values and principles are trampled on.

Don't even go there, "We are...". You are wrong and horribly misinformed.
This lady is no good for the court. Firefighters are against her.
TO: WE ARE NO LONGER A 'NATION OF LAWS'

You may be the most uneducated person living in this country!! Bush/Cheney authorized torture, illegal wire tapping, obstruction of justice, failing to inform Congress, and removing our civil liberties.  Yet you want to talk about the selection of Sotomayor as a threat to our Constitution. No one can be as dumb as you!
nlewis, I can't wait to see/hear Ricci!

This seems to be positioning to treat Sotomayor like a defendant in a criminal case.  She personally did just exactly what to you, Ricci?  WTF!

Confirm Sotomayor NOW!
I've got the bag of popcorn.  I am watching it all on C-Span tonight when I get home.
