Graham: Sotomayor confirmation likely

From NBC's Domenico Montanaro
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC)

raised some objection to Sonia Sotomayor's record. He said there have been, however, some exceedingly harsh things said about her and that he doesn't believe she's a racist. But her "wise Latina" comment bothered him, he said.

He added, unless she has a meltdown, she's going to be confirmed.

There was a laugh from the crowd.

He did not indicate how he would vote.

Nice Lindsey....Play Nice...Be Nice....

There is no future in taking the hard riduculous right-wing position!

Lindsey has a heart...NOT!

Confirm Sotomayor NOW!
Of course she will be and the Republican Party needs to focus on the real issues that they help to create. Enough already...
Well now, after all the yelling and screaming by the GOP, now we find it was all a bunch of ado about nothing. As usual. Since when is the GOP in a position to offer their opinions of anything regarding race issues. It's all they ever scream about. Let-it-go.
_______

I wonder if the NYY are going to get Halladay?
The republicans would do themselves a favor by not standing in the way of this nomination. There is a related post at http://iamsoannoyed.com/?page_id=588
Looks like Sonia Sotomayor is going to have a job, what about everyone else? People are hurting and it's became clear no relief is in sight, and I get the feeling it ain't that high on anyones priority list, truth be known I believe it is the result of carefull planning by a few to eliminate the middle class, serfdom anyone?
Sotomayor's justice is blind.
If the "wise Latina" comment is really all that is bothering people than she, indeed, will be a slam dunk in confirmation. Looks like Graham is seeing the writing on the wall and using some common sense in saying he is likely to vote for her.
Tim Stockden or whatever

Hey dude, Looks like the devil got into your shorts this morning.

I have opinions of the prez, based on fact. If he doesn't like my opinions then he can tell me. I'm sure he hears them everyday through his mail, Rush and the rest. Good of you to defend him but I'm not listening. Hard to find your way back home, isn't it?

JPat, Boston-Halladay would be great for us!!

Do you guys want A-Rod?  I will lead the charge to send him up there!!!

I can't stand him.  Never could, never will.
Don't count your chickens yet as the majority of the American people don't want her anywhere near the Supreme Court.

In Sotomayor we don't trust.
"Inaction is not an option" said NObama --- and neither should ram-it-down-our-throats politics be an option.

Senator Jeff Sessions made a brilliant point at Sotomayor's hearing ===

"the Alabama senator criticized President Barack Obama's statement that he preferred someone for the high court who has shown empathy with people ---

Sessions said that "empathy for one party is always prejudice for the other."
Senator Graham refered to Judge Sotomayor as "lady or hey lady" at some point during his opening statement today at the confirmation hearings.  This was very disrespectful.  I hope some on the air tonight can find it on tape and play it.
