Kerry vs. Palin continues

Last month, when South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford had gone missing, Democratic Sen. John Kerry said this: "Too bad if a governor had to go missing, it couldn't have been the governor of Alaska. You know, Sarah Palin."

To which Palin later replied: "John Kerry, why the long face?"

Well, the Kerry-vs.-Palin feud continues.

Video: The Nation’s Chris Hayes discusses the errors in Gov. Sarah Palin’s op-ed in The Washington Post.

Yesterday, in response to Palin's op-ed in the Washington Post slamming President Obama on energy and cap-and-trade, Kerry wrote this response in the Huffington Post: "Unfortunately, her promise to roll up her sleeves and tackle serious issues is followed by a column that focuses on everything but the single grave challenge that forms the basis of all of our actions: the crisis of global climate change. Yes, she manages to write about the climate change action in Congress without ever mentioning the reason we are doing this in the first place. It's like complaining about the cost of repairing a roof without factoring in the leaks destroying your home."

And today, he adds on Daily Kos: "We need a real debate – and a vigorous one. That means that no one can play loose with the facts and ignore the real climate crisis." In an update to the post, he also says: "[W]hen something’s flat out wrong and it’s part of the news cycle, you use the truth to crush it before it takes on a life of its own, and climate change legislation is way too important to topple under the weight of distortions from anywhere or anyone."

Kerry shame on you for picking on the dumb! lol
Finally John Kerry cracks a real funny.  He is so right that it would have been better for the repugnant ones if she had gone missing.  Still she's a fool to think she's in Kerry's class of political heavyweights.  He will take her apart if she tries to duel it our verbally with him.

We all know that Quitter Palin's op ed was written and paid for by the energy industry.  She isn't smart enough to write such a long article without it being a rambling of idiotic proportions.  She'll also need a ghost writer to write her book and she'll probably need him to read it to her so she knows what's in it.  Better put lots of pictures in so she can look at them while ignoring the words.

Just Say No to Sinner Sarah!
Pretty and dumb vs smart and ugly.

You want to look at pretty and dumb, you might want to marry pretty, but you want smart to run the country.

John Kerry, good luck drowning out the Right Wing smear machine.  As you well know, they don't let facts get in the way of their ideology.

Ms. Palin, I wish you well, I wish you health and happiness but I don't want you running or influencing anything that would affect me or any one else in the US.  We deserve better than you.
Make up your mind John. You want to toss insults, or do you want a real debate? Your side has been saying for years the debate is over. By the way speaking of corrupt Liberals in bed with government. I was over at newsbusters and noticed GE employees have been running a lot of stories lately about Goldman Sachs. Isn't that like one whore trying to drag another whore out of the best paying John's bed?
Climate change is the biggest sham that has ever been pulled on the people of the world. The bottom line is that climate change legislation will simply create a new class of ultra-wealthy people to go along with an ultra-powerful governing body.
sKerry writes: "[W]hen something’s flat out wrong and it’s part of the news cycle, you use the truth to crush it before it takes on a life of its own...."

ummm John.  you're criticizing her for doing exactly that.....  Oh wait.  she isn't speaking to YOUR 'truth'

There is NO climate "crisis."  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When I'm wrong, I admit it and I have to say, we on the left were let down by our president yesterday in a major confrontation between lefties and right wingers.
In a sad demonstration of the art of delivering a baseball game's first pitch, southpaw President Obama proved he can't carry the resin bag of former President George W. Bush.
Not even a tip from Hall of Famer Willie Mays, who from Michigan hitched a ride to the Major League All Star Game in St. Louis with the president could help. "Just follow through and you'll be all right," the Say Hey Kid, now 78, advised the president.
Instead, President Obama, looking the part in a White Sox jacket, showed the world how much more accomplished the former president is at this task. Going with a full windup, Obama delivered in a reverse pivot, dismissed his adviser's tip by lobbing the ball far in the air, as if attempting a three point shot in some other sport. Only a miraculous catch by the games best player, Albert Pujols saved the president from further embarrassment.
Former President George W. Bush, meanwhile, has proved to be more than adept at the ceremonial pregame ritual. Perhaps this is because after a period of strenuous activity protecting the borders of Texas during the Viet Nam War while with the Air National Guard then managing an oil company into oblivion, Bush assumed ownership of Major League Baseball's Texas Rangers, where he had plenty of practice throwing the stitched sphere. In either a business suit or a ranch jacket, Bush, from a set position, could let fly a high, hard one on a line to the catcher.
By the way, President Obama, I also did not appreciate your diss of the captain of my beloved New York Yankees, Derek Jeter. "Old," you called him? Why you must have the all star shortstop by a good decade.
I hope you've learned your lesson, Mr. President, to stick with your own sport. I'd stay away from Sarah Palin's challenge of a distance race as well, President Obama. Even if you were able to win the race, she's got nicer legs...

Sorry, I submitted this earlier today, but I think it got lost, like many of my posts lately. If you did see it before, just disregard it this time (as you do all my posts, bad doggie,)
Last month, when South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford had gone missing, Democratic Sen. John Kerry said this: "Too bad if a governor had to go missing, it couldn't have been the governor of Alaska. You know, Sarah Palin."

____________

So, following the logic of Palin supporters, she must be bashing him like that because she fears how good he really is.
JFK: "Unfortunately, her promise to roll up her sleeves and tackle serious issues is followed by a column that focuses on everything but the single grave challenge that forms the basis of all of our actions: the crisis of global climate change. "

Hasn't anyone told Senator Longface that global warming is a myth? Kind of like him earning those purple hearts of his.
What climate crisis?  Seems to me the only folks who believe in a climate crisis are the very folks who will benefit from any funded project to halt their imaginary changes...scientists don't even agree there's a problem...Kerry is an ineffectual baffoon rich man with a singleminded attempt to sabotage Palin...at any cost.
Say...how do you like that Sanford? I watched Rachel Maddow's Show, Countdown and Hardball. Chris Matthews said that Sanford received 15 calls from his staff member (Chief of Staff??) and he didn't return a singel call.

Also reported that the State lost business, because he wouldn't follow through with a meeting with a company that was looking to expand their business in South Carolina. Hell...with him in offece, those people don't need a s**ty economy, they just need to keep him, that way, their economy will NEVER recover.

I really do feel sorry for the people in that State. They should be rasing the rafters to get rid of him.
Kerry on the Huff and Puff Post.

Kerry on the Daily Lost.

Nice to see that the liberal propagnda websites are giving this clown a stage to perform on. And Johnny Boy doesn't disappoint us now does he? Next stop Letterman Johnny?
Senator Kerry, I see you've cleverly changed the phrasing from "global warming" to "global climate change" since the "warming" part couldn't be validated.  Your party is the sponsor of a wasteful stimulus package that is putting future generations permanently in debt.  Therefore before we spend more trillions of dollars on something, we'd like to make sure it's necessary and not just some liberal idealogical move to grow gov't.  We'd also like to make sure that our spending doesn't kill jobs while doing basically nothing to improve the environment.  We'd also like to make sure we're not committing to a standard which other large nations (China, India...) are don't feel obliged to meet which will further make our country non-competitive.
Kerry could you please go missing? Every time you open your mouth the climate gets that much warmer !!
John Kerry believes he can control the weather?
Sarah Palin may be right when she says, "American prosperity has always been driven by the steady supply of abundant, affordable energy."

But what she isn't recognizing is that the steady supply of abundant, affordable oil is coming to end. And while coal may be cheap in terms of dollars, it is expensive in terms of environmental impact.

But with cap and trade and a push toward "greener" energy sources, we will have that steady supply of abundant, affordable energy.

Palin's argument is the equivalent of saying in the early 20th century that American prosperity had been built on use of horses and oxen and that we should not embrace technology.
Well, the Kerry-vs.-Palin feud continues.

Grannie Clampett NEVER let a feud go to waste!

She's like a cat trying to sharpen it's claws!

Bible Spice (thanks mom) does not care about or believe in climate change because the rapture is near... I remember James Watt, a member of Ronald Reagan's cabinet felt the same way, but according to him, it should have happened by now. Sarah would say, "you betcha."
Anyone who treats wildlife with as much disregard as Sarah six-gun should be viewed accordingly.
Someone posting today used the cool summer we are having as proof there is nothing to global warming. It's at the poles, dummy. The polar ice caps are retreating at alarming rates, which creates havoc with weather patterns around the world. I know you folks don't believe in science in regard to evolution, but check out the list of respected scientists concerned about climate change. The only names missing are those who sold out to the energy companies which are paying bounties for papers refuting the facts...
What climate crisis?  Seems to me the only folks who believe in a climate crisis are the very folks who will benefit from any funded project to halt their imaginary changes

Nice going Donna! Perfect explanation! Corporations that trade these cap and trade "carbon credits' are the ones that will love the climate trade bill. There the ones that will make billions off the taxes collected from American companies and trading them on the global market. Corporations like Goldman-Sachs can't wait to get their hands on that money.

The big losers? As usual with Obama, the taxpayer. And global warming? This garbage Kerry and company are pushing won't do a damn thing for anyone.
Isn't that like one whore trying to drag another whore out of the best paying John's bed?

__________

I don't know...why don't you ask Sanford?
Many of us are getting very tired of all you Dems claiming that we need to show "patience" with Obama and his policies. How much patience did you all show Bush in Iraq when the lives of our troops were on the line? How much patience did you show for ANY of Bush's policies, for that matter? Guess what? For 6+ years you gave it...and now you're getting it right back.

Many of us righties have decided to show Obama and you Dems every bit as much respect, patience and consideration that you showed Bush (and everyone else you disagreed with). Quit your whining and deal with it.
Looks like Kerry is gunning for Franken's open spot on Airhead American radio. Then, if John does a good job, maybe he can run for Senator at some point.
Considering the Palin is the (ex) Governor of a state that survives off kickbacks from Exxon and other big oil corporations, I hardly think she's a credible voice on energy reform.
Kerry is an ineffectual baffoon rich man with a singleminded attempt to sabotage Palin...at any cost.
Donna, anywhere, usa (Sent Wednesday, July 15, 2009 3:24 PM)
_________

The only person sabotaging Palin is Palin.
To which Palin later replied: "John Kerry, why the long face?"
----------------------------------------------------
And she wonders why so many people can't take her seriously? What's next, a taunt of "I'm rubber, you're glue?" Or perhaps a, "takes one to know one."

This is the what someone that would have been heartbeats away from the Presidency treats her enemy?

I'm sure had McCain/Palin won, those types of barbs would have worked miracles for our foreigh policy and standing in the world! Perhaps she could have met Ahmadinejad and Kim Jong-il on the playground and pulled their hair, thrown sand at them, and called them names!

The righties always ask why we liberals are so scared of her. This is why! She has the intellect of a kindergartner!
So Sarah is gonna take on all of the big guys. The more she writes and talks the more credibility it gives her "opponents". Opinions are like noses, everyone has one. Sarah's happens to agree with a very small segmant of America today.

Because the conservative propaganda machines *never* give conservatives a stage to perform on, right?
Senator Kerry: You are above this.  Please do not relegate yourself to Whalin' Palin's level.  Trust me...they are not worth having knowledge of.  In this case, I would accept the "elitist" label.  Keep your dignity; do not gutter brawl..leave them screaming and whaling all by themselves..or bouncing up and down like Flush Limpbaugh.

Are you serious? What scientists don't agree? There has been some debate about how quickly the impact is being felt and how steady it will be, but there is very little disagreement within the scientific community.

There was the report a few weeks ago about the EPA "suppressing" a report by someone that said that we needed to stop and take another look because new data didn't support the scientific conclusions. But then it was learned that the EPA person was an economist, not a scientist!
Let's have a real debate on Global Climate Change.  Kerry vs. Palin and Rush vs.Gore.  Of course, Palin and Rush will have to go back to school and take Science classes first since it is obvious they have no clue what science is.
The climate changed today.  Yesterday it was 82 degrees and today it is 78 degrees.  I predict that the climate will change again tomorrow, too.  In fact, it changes pretty much every day around here.

What did you expect from the dimwit from Wasilla?  She stated she wants to work on issues but in reality she saw something better---dollar signs!  She will end up having a show via tv/radio in the likes of limpbag, insane hanity, coulter I don't know my gender and the o'really show.  She only cares about money (greed) which seems to be the Repuke mantra!  They don't care about fixing this country, they only care about their fortunes!  If they really cared about this country, THEY WOULD HAVE DONE SOMETHING WHEN THEY HAD THE CHANCE!!!!!!!!
John Kerry, just another proponent of the politically correct alarmist view of man-made global warming.  You want to discuss the issue seriously Senator? Then stop with the Palin bashing, that's just too easy to do these days.  Try doing something harder and more responsible by rolling up YOUR sleeves and pushing the 'vigorous' debate you cite.

Yeah, lets debate the reliability of the data used to calculate average global temperature.  Let's debate the impact of of the urban heat island effect in skewing temperature readings from individual weather stations.  Let's debate what's known and what's not known about the interaction of clouds with greenhouse gases.  Let's debate why the computer models the green evangalists use did not predict the leveling off of average global temperatures that have been observed in the 21st century.  Yeah Senator, roll up your sleeves and explain to us skeptics why anyone should trust the alarmist pronouncements coming from a new and highly complex branch of science where the scope of uncertainty is so huge.

Oh, and for all the lefties who bash the Bushies for 'fear mongering' check out the rhetoric in the FR blurb: grave challenge, crisis of global climate change, real climate crisis.  If that's not fear mongering, I don't know what is.  The climate change zealots are doing their best to scare the pants off of everyone.  The faith of the true believers in climate change is akin to religous fervor. And just like preachers try to scare folks about going to hell, the climate change zealots try to scare folks into thinking the sky is falling.  Rubbish.
Even without climate change, cap and trade is a national security issue because of the need to depend less on foreign oil. This is not a one issue program, but includes job growth, technology competition, the climate, and oil, oil, oil.
President Carter warned of this 40 years ago, but because he has been discredited by the right, his warnings go unheard. Just because did not prove to be an effective president does not mean he is stupid.
Sadly, Senator Kerry learned the lesson of not correcting the record immediately so I am glad he is speaking out.  It reminds me of the child's tale "The Emperor's New Clothes" (could change the name to reflect the $150,000 wardrobe but I digress).  Sarah Palin doesn't have the understanding of these important issues nor does she seem to want to acquire it.
Climate change can be measured in ways other than temperature, and that is what scientists do.  Scientists can look at the fossil record or the geologic layers and see what lived where and when.  Periods of extreme cold or heat show up in the geologic record.  People who track plant and animal species know that habitats have changed at an accelerated rate, that some species are under stress because the rapidity of change hasn't given the species time to adapt.  In addition to trying to slow the rate of climate change, it is a good idea to promote wise energy use -- using fewer non-renewable sources of energy and using less energy.  The U.S. uses far more than its share of available energy because we have the money to do so.  If other countries have more money, they will be able to outbid us for the energy we import, so it is also a security issue.  Can Gov. Palin tell us how many years of energy use there is in Alaska? And what methodology she uses to determine that number?
Sarah Palin has forgot more about energy than john Kerry has ever known.  She deals with it all the time, Alaska is our best resource.  While Mass. won't even allow the green wind turbines to be put in their state.
Because she doesn't subscribe to the notion of MAN-MADE global warming, which we all know is junk science at best, and will only make friends of "O" rich, rich, rich!! Algore is salivating at the prospect.  She brings a great point the American people want to know... Why don't democrats want the US to be less dependant on foreign oil?  All the oil in Alaska including ANWR & off shore in AK & lwr 48 would help us achieve this IF we start NOW.  It would give us time to actually develope an alternative which we DO NOT HAVE RIGHT NOW!
Our representatives shame us in their dereliction of duty.  Not only can they NOT READ the bills before them, they can't hear what the American people want, or rather just don't give a damn what we want.  Shame!

This is an emergency situation! Better buy some carbon credits!
Climate change is a reality. Only a moron thinks otherwise. I have yet to hear a credible argument to the contrary. It seems that the world's scientific elite agrees. So why do regressive people (conservatives) disagree. Oh I guess they think they are smarter than the worlds scientific elite. I think I'll just continue to remain dubious on their opinions.
It's amazing how many people are proud to be ignorant, particularly the Palin supporters who would fall on a sword to make sure the 'dummy' has fans. Speaking about one location in the world, claiming that because it's cooler than normal there is no climate change, is the funniest comment I've read yet. Try going back to school, pass a science assessment test, before you come back to the blogs. But since scientists don't believe in the Republican Party, I can understand your dilemma. Keep waiting for the rapture......it's coming......it's coming....
Palin stopped Letterman dead in his tracks.

John Kerry won't be a problem for her. He's the dummy who lost to Bush.
PROUD LIB - Climate change is a reality. Only a moron thinks otherwise.

Climate change. Climates been changing for billions of years. But you're talking about global warmin, aren't you?

PROUD LIB - I have yet to hear a credible argument to the contrary.

Can't prove a negative PL, global warming in this case. But I'm sure you don't even understand what that means.

Seems to me, Sarah Palin rolled up her sleeves and quit the job she was elected to do.  She doesn't have the intellegence, persiverence or attention span to be a leader.  She's a glorified news reader.

What makes ms palin an energy expert, did she put gas in her own truck?  She's no expert on anything but drama and playing the victim.  Scram sarah, let the adults handle things.
Gwen Ifill's question about cap-and-trade during the Palin/Biden debate on October 3, 2008:

IFILL: We do need to keep within our two minutes. But I just wanted to ask you, do you support capping carbon emissions?

PALIN: I do. I do.

Palin has proven she does not have the intestinal fortitude to with stand national scrutiny. Her temperament is like a bulldog with lipstick in a catfight. She keeps chasing her own tail thinking, it is desirable to catch. No one said that politics on the national stage is an easy life and god knows I could not live there. It would be best for the country and Sara, for her to ride quietly into the sunset.
Many of us righties have decided to show Obama and you Dems every bit as much respect, patience and consideration that you showed Bush (and everyone else you disagreed with). Quit your whining and deal with it.
Always Proud, Wash,DC (Sent Wednesday, July 15, 2009 3:38 PM)

Problem with that----the former dunce in chief never shown any respect for the people of this country-----he gave lip service to the masses and respected only those people who bowed down to him-----shown by his actions!!!!!!!!Heck of a Job Brownie!
Kerry having to respond to a Washington Post piece to Huffington and Kos shows how desperate for an audience he really is.
