Obama re-nominates fired U.S. Atty

One of the U.S. Attorneys fired by former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales is making a comeback, nominated today to return to his old job.

President Obama has nominated Daniel Bogden to be the top federal prosecutor in Nevada.  Bodgen was the US attorney there in the George W. Bush administration for five years until he was fired in December 2006, one of nine who were forced out.

Sen. Harry Reid of Nevada had pushed for the nomination. His spokesman has said it would help correct a past wrong.

A better "correction" would be to prosecute the criminal who fired him for political purposes in the first place.

Wait a minute "correct a past wrong"?? I don't like that at all. Is he qualified? That is what needs to be known. Does anyone know??
Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha...What say you?? And that's an in your face if ever there was one!

To:  Alan, NJ

1. From what you are saying our whole health care system is predicated on repaying student loans?

(a). Are you suggesting that we mandate physicians to practice medicine or attend college to practice medicine? Explain this remark.

2. On the question of Medicare.  from what I understand Medicare does not require pre-authorization, however, Medicare will refuse treatment after the fact if it decides the procedure was not necessary and the doctor has to eat the cost.

(c). That is incorrect. Alan…if that was the case then “no” physician in this countrty wiould accept it and Seniors wouldn’t want it. Medicare does require pre-certification on some procedures, but not all.

3. You seem to think that only Insurance Companies deny treatment.  Do you think a public option plan can be all things to all people?

(d). No insurance plan is all thing to all people Alan, but reasonable cost for the treatments denied would be curtailed. As it stands now. They don’t cover simple things. Public option would force them to cover procedures and treatments that they currently deny. Competion forces many options Alan.

5.At some level there must be denial of treatment because it is not cost effective.

(d). There aren’t any denile of treatments in hospitals due to cost. OR cost are based on time Alan. Managed Care facilities don’t refuse treatments based on cost, physicians don’t deny treatment based on cost. Physician and facilities are constantly finding medical break throughs that take treatments to scientific levels that are yet untapped. To deny treatment based on cost is ludicrist.

6 Is there any level you think that spending as a nation on healthcare is too much?
(e). Alan, I am a Rolls Royce, nothing is too good for me. Got it? If we can spend billions in other countries, I feel that the driving froce of our econmy (the people) deserve the best…don’t you?

7.At the moment we are spending approximately 18%.  As baby boomers move into Medicare this program will bust in around 5 years.

(f). According to last years budget we were 8% over the outlay for social security, Medicare and Medicaid. The prior administration approved a drug program for seniors without allocating the funding for the program . If we do not have health Care Reform it will colapse Medicare. I shouldn’t say Medicare, I should say Medicaid.

8.As medical innovation continues the demand for the latest technology and drugs will increase.  I understand at the moment the way doctors are compensated they bill as the do, but in my opinion that is the fundamental change that must be changed.

9. To address both issues maybe the government should agree to write off student loans for a a period of time as a salaried employee.

(g). Government should’t write off student loans. Why would government do that.? That wouldn’t be cost effective. Do you have any idea what the cost of attending Medical School is? The cost of lost revenue uncollected by physicians that would have to accounted for and payble to them? That could easily run up into the billions…about as much as it would cost to insure the population of this nation.

The only way to fix this issue is Health Care Reform with public option. Anyone that knows anything about economics knows that this will fix the problem.
Where was Reid in 2006 when the wrong occurred?

Come to think of it, where is Reid most days?

Come to think of it, where have I been?
One of Bogden's staunchest supporters was Sen. John Ensign (R), Nevada.  Someone needs to inform Sen. Reid and the president that someone supported by a Republican is unworthy.

Senator Reid, however, misses Bogden.  I wonder why.
Keep your enemies close and pick off more Republicans for their base.
The stuff that evolves and revolves in Obama's brain can only be termed incomprehensible. It's like his mind at times gets an atomic wedgie.
That's great but when is he going to nominate someone to take Mary Beth Buchanan's place. She needs to go!
Righting a wrong is a good thing. Rehiring someone who shouldn't have been fired in the first place is a good thing. So much to fix and so little time.
