August deadliest month for U.S. military

August has been the deadliest month for the U.S. military in the entire Afghanistan war.

As of this afternoon, 51 American servicemembers have been killed in Afghanistan this month. That breaks the previous record set only last month when 45 Americans were killed in July.

With four months to go, this is also already a record year for American casualties in Afghanistan -- 182 U.S. servicemembers have been killed so far this year, compared to last year's 155.

I realize these numbers pale to what we have seen in Iraq, but I am seeing alot more news on how many of our soldiers are being killed every month -- does anyone have information that tells us what these lives in Afghanistan have actually gained us?  Are these lost lives worthwhile?  I'm sure that information would be nice to know -- particularly for those who have lost family members...
Lots of records for Obama.  Record spending.  Record deficit.  Record deaths in Afghanistan.  Record job loss.  Record divisiveness.
And Obama wants to ESCALATE the Afghan War. Where is the outrage lefties?
Maybe Dick Cheney can go on Fox shed some light on how it was so much better to pi*s away so many of our dollars and soldiers in Iraq so later on, we could have such an uphill battle where we should have gone in the first place.
BTW- whenever I see him running his fat, lopsided mouth, I all I can see is Spiro Agnew and John Mitchell.  Wonder why that is?
Moon Dawg?  No Bo, No Jo- NJ?
Anyone?
Where is the liberals outrage at the number of deaths in Afghanistan since Obama took over.  Where's the liberal press screaming they want pictures of returning caskets from Afghanistan?  Where is the front page stories of the casualties since Obama became President?  How many times has the press asked Obama about Iraq & Afghanistan and why he has not kept his campaign promises concerning these wars.  Will the press give Obama and liberals another free ride?  Pull our troops out now and let the war lords fight it out for control of Afghanistan, that country is not worth anymore american lives.  The only way to win is to destroy the areas where the Taliban & Al-Qaeda are located by carpet bombing the areas that are supporting them. More troops will do no good because they can not conduct a war necessary to win.
Wow, what happened?  You guys finally discovered that we are still at war?  That brave men and women are losing their lives to protect our freedom?  Who sent you THAT e-mail?

I have neighbors whose sons are fighting in Iraq, and also in Afghanistan. They have been appalled at the treatment of these wars by the press.  these are not political footballs, these are human lives put at risk for the greater good of protecting us from harm.

It might do you well to remember that.
Courtney Kube and Jim Miklaszewski how does that compare to the deadliest months in the Iraq war?
Unfortunately we would not be in this predicament if George Bush would have kept our troops in Afganistan to get Bin Ladin and fight the tallaban instead of pulling our troops and waging an ill fated made up war in Iraq.  We have allowed this to escalate for years and now have to pay the consequences.
Message to leftist zealots:  With specificity and completeness, answer why you are not NOW clamoring for 24/7 live coverage of the returning caskets of our troops slaughtered in Afghanistan?  Having trouble there, you duplicitous cretins?  Could it be because your Bammy's Afghanistan war is a catastrophe. Don't even think of trying to obfuscate, spin, twist, evade, or distort the cold, hard truth.  Your messiah is a colossal stack of lies, deceptions, failures, and incompetence raised to the power of 10 to the 23rd. He is a naked Neville Chamberlain hiding in a dark corner while his empty suit has been taken to the cleaners.
Enough said on Obama's war.

Talk versus the walk.

Bush Obama SAME SAME

Gee, now let's see ..... who was president during the deadliest month for the U.S. military?

Look ... Biden acts like he doesn't know.

Barack Obama, that's who. Ask Patty Sheehan.
AUGUST DEADLIEST MONTH FOR U.S. MILITARY  says the headline. Funny how that is, how wars become deadly. If we don't fight in wars they don't get deadly but than again how many people died on the streets of Houston, Oakland, or Chicago in the same period?
