Byrd released from hospital

From NBC's Kelly O'Donnell

A statement from his office:

Senator Robert C. Byrd, D-W.Va., was released from the hospital early this afternoon following a brief 48-hour stay to monitor and treat a spike in his white-blood cell count, a symptom that is usually an early sign of an infection. Byrd was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday, following a precautionary trip to the hospital after he fell at his home. While being examined, doctors found an increase in Byrd's white-blood cell count and then admitted the West Virginia Senator to the hospital for antibiotic treatment and observation.

Byrd will continue his antibiotic treatment at his home and convalesce over the coming days. Byrd indicated that he "is looking forward to engaging in the upcoming debate and votes on health care reform - one of the most critical issues facing this Congress."

Thanks for the update. I ams still worried.
Racist Democrats (Klan founders)applaud. Byrd was involved in the hay day of democratic make up of the KKK. Too many of my brothers and sisters have bought the lie and seem to forget this on a regular basis.
Hurry and get well Sen. Byrd. We need you for the 60 votes and for your expertise in all things Constitutional as well as experience in the Senate.

Your racist past is gone and you've learned a lesson as many of us have. Your support for the first mixed race president has been admirable especially considering your past. That, sir, is testamony to your personal integrity. We all have things in our past we learned from and that we don't want to repeat. I am glad you have come around and that you are in here for the big fight to get this landmark legislation through.

Your support, and a little arm twisting, call in of favors etc. will go a long way to advance the cause of the poor and middle class in this fight to end the status quo and finally give us affordable health care. This critical bill needs you to help shepherd it through so get well and we'll be glad to see you back.
