Domenico... all I got to say is you're a heck of a lot better looking than Willard Scott!  ;0) Now that was funny!

And what happened to Chucky T's picture on the bookshelf?

And speaking of pic's when are you guys going to put Ali's up?  Just wondering...

Have a Wonderful Weekend!
Well...MTP won't be on my telly this weekend. Sorry MSNBC. I just can't take Gregory.

Just found out about Big Russ. Condolences to the Russert family. Really do miss Tim, his contributions to politics, facts and educating the public is sorely missed during these difficult times with HCR. Others should strive to present the public with such facts.

I would like to keep following the Senate Finance Committee. I don't think that unemployment will reach double digits given the fact that there was a decline in the number of unemployment filings. The recovery is working and that would be worth reporting.

First Read...thanks again the opportunity to vist this site. Everyone have a great weekend and cheer your favorite team! Enjoyed the discourse.
Did any of the bills being worked upon in congress have a provision to allow illegal aliens access to healthcare?
Why did Wilson think that was true?
Carter hits 85? We're talking IQ, right?
Unemployment is below 8%

I refuse to believe it went over 8%

Obama, our leader, said it wouldn't and I believe him - Why are you guys at MSNBC proclaiming this right wing propaganda?
"We need to pass this stimulus plan quickly, because if we don't, unemployment may rise above 8%."

BHO Washington DC - February/2009

The President’s economic advisors predicted that unemployment would rise to 9 percent by 2010 if Congress did not pass the stimulus bill, but that with the stimulus unemployment would stay below 8 percentage points.

Congress passed the stimulus bill in February 2009 and the President has repeated his claims.  Asked when the public should begin to judge the effects of the stimulus, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said “I think we should begin to judge it now.”

In that case, the stimulus must be judged a failure. The figure above shows the projections the administration made in January with and without the stimulus bill, and the actual unemployment rate since then. Unemployment has risen not only above what the President’s advisors predicted would happen if the stimulus passed, but above what they estimated would occur without the stimulus. By the President’s own measure, the stimulus has failed.

The bills wont cover illegal aliens - not to worry though - there wont be any illegal aliens - Obama plans on making them citizens and ACORN will register them all as Democrats - Count on it!!!!!!!!!!!!
CNN will have the highlights of what MTP guest say of any importance and I won't have to put up with 'got ya' Gregory.
Domenico: FYI: Mackinac is pronounced ("Mac-eh-naw").
How can unemployment be going up? The Fed said the recession was over.
Ensign receives handwritten confirmation

Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.) received a handwritten note Thursday from Joint Committee on Taxation Chief of Staff Tom Barthold confirming the penalty for failing to pay the up to $1,900 fee for not buying health insurance.

Violators could be charged with a misdemeanor and could face up to a year in jail or a $25,000 penalty, Barthold wrote on JCT letterhead. He signed it "Sincerely, Thomas A. Barthold."

The note was a follow-up to Ensign's questioning at the markup. See the politico website for details
Timmy Boy:

I respect the President and his office.  But his policies, actions and words are fair game, especially in this left wing zoo of a forum.

Haven't you and yours amply demonstrated the same over the past eight years?

By the way, I consider being lumped in (pun intended)with Bad Chihuahua and the gang a compliment.

Far better than the menages' a trois between Eric, Feisty and Anita and you, Clara and . . . well, I guess Feisty is just ubiquitous.

The CBO will come out with good news in their projections about the Finance Committee health reform bill. It will show the bill covers its own costs and will cost less than $900 billion. After that, the amendments will fly and the public option will return in the wake of positive energy flowing through the health reform effort.
HR 3200 only says undocumented persons do not qualify for affordability credits. (This seems to be the most common rebuttal of Joe Wilson here, so I'm relying on those who have presented it, but it does seem to reflect my understanding as well.

Nothing presented here by Wilson's critics says that undocumented persons can't get coverage.

There could be more specific statements denying undocumented persons any coverage at all under any circumstances.  I'm willing to be shown, though.

In the meantime they will continue to receive full coverage at the emergency room.

Quoting HR3200 is also shaky, because it's not the bill that is going to be passed.  HR3200 didn't have 500 amendments and called for a public option.
See - Here's the problem with the liberals plan to exclude illegal's from getting health care. None of them do. Flat out, there is no plan to exculde illegal's. We have laws that say illegal's shouldn't be here (duhh, they're illegal's!), the laws are ignored. We have mechanisms that will help identify illegal's. The liberals say we can't use those. We have something called ICE that gets rid of illegal's. They're ordered to stand down, especially in sanctuary cities. So until a lot of this changes, we can't even start believing illegal's won't get health care.

So please libbies. Enough of you saying Joe Wilson was wrong. He wasn't. He told the truth.
By the way, I consider being lumped in (pun intended)with Bad Chihuahua and the gang a compliment.
