MIDEAST PEACE: Palestinians are as pessimistic as ever about the peace process. Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas' domestic political standing is in BIG trouble.

AFGHANISTAN: The Washington Post reports that President Obama is not only focusing on the military aspect of the Afghanistan war but the civilian one in part because of concerns over the legitimacy of recent presidential elections there. "Although the discussions also include making a decision on whether to deploy tens of thousands of additional U.S. troops, an administration official said the president was 'very focused on the complexity of the situation' Wednesday -- looking past the military aspect of the equation and toward the civilian effort. Another official said the focus on the civilian effort grew out of a sense that the United States needs to better cultivate Afghan leaders and institutions."

QUICK! Fly him to the United States and admit him to an emergency room where he can't be turned away. Then when he can't pay, Uncle Sam will pick up the tab.
It's seems like yesterday that Obama and Hillary were clinking champagne glasses celebrating how wonderful they were at diplomacy. Now it's all falling apart, just like everything else Obama has tried to do.

Great, and the rumors come from the American Enterprise Institute think-tank...which is neo-con, chickenhawk central!

We all know how trustworthy they can be!
Chew on this: "The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a U.S. non-profit Muslim activist group associated with Islamist terrorist groups such as Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood, is reeling under new allegations of highly suspect activity."  Now Obie has his favorite Muslim interns placed on crucial congressional committees. Impeach this bastard before he kills us all.
What McGeneral did say is that the last 8 years where a bumbled bunch of errors, the mission was failed, and it would take the Afgan people to stand up and fight off al quida .To date this has not happen, and may never happen. The Afgans hate us,they hate that we are on there soil, and killing there people,no matter how much we paid the Iraq fighters to stop shooting at us,the pay window is now under new management.Afghanistan is a no win,and it never will be,so to stay there after what we should have learned in South east asia.
More apologies by the apologetic one?

If Ayatollah Khamenei is in a coma, or dead, this is a big deal.  The loss of Ahmadinejad's primary supporter could likely put Ahmadinejad in a very vulnerable position.

One always has to wonder if Khamenei was poisoned or killed. There could be great unrest in Iran.
That's what Sanford had ... international affairs.

Better keep your wife with you, Obie.
