Forget GQ's top 50, this is CQ!

from NBC's Chuck Todd
Not to be outdone by GQ's "50 Most Powerful People in DC" list, Congressional Quarterly's Craig Crawford lists CQ's "Top 50 of All Time" on his blog "Trail Mix."

Who made the list? Well, where would Washington be today without the four construction workers who pried President William Howard Taft out of his bathtub? They rank at #43.

Good point Clara!  I mean seriously we’re here each & every day and they NEVER have a positive word to say about their party (just bash the hell out of the President & lefties)!

Well the exception being Bill and his ‘defense’ of a full blown racist who’s own comments are on record… lol lol lol

They never have a kind word to say to one another (we’ll leave the schizophrenic out of it… he’s already hard at work this morning!)

Must be pure hell to have to go through life as ignorant & miserable as they are!

That’s why I’m happy & PROUD to be a LIBERAL (boy it sure feels good to say that out LOUD after 8 years of having to keep my mouth shut and claiming I was Canadian when I traveled abroad)!  Ya never know who might be listening  ;0)

Oh… happy days are here again…

Over the last week or so...I've barely been able to contain my laughter... appears the clowns are doing their job!

Anita in Alabama---better get better facts checked---this all started when CLINTON was in office and grew as time went on once a president sets things in motion another president can't change it unless the house and congress agrees.

I don’t think so. It actually started with Reagan. Bush senior negioated NAFTA and Clinton passed as a “good” brother would. If you really want to go one on one with me over this. I’ll serve you some facts that will blow your mind. What I posted earlier has been recorded as history.

President Taft is also why the game of baseball has the 7th Inning Stretch...seems Fatty couldn't stay seated for a full 9 innings and had to stand up in them middle of the 7th inning.
Most powerful people in or around Washington:

1. George Soros
2. K Street lobbyist Tom Dashle
3. Democratic fundraiser Norman Chu (now in jail)
4. David Letterman
5. Washington Nationals (makes Congress look good by comparison)

Feisty, you missed Bill's point entirely.  What he was saying in his Rush commentary is the liberals who preach tolerance are utterly incapable of tolerating an opinion that differs with theirs, and they generally resort in name calling and other equally sophomoric exchanges.  This board is a perfect example; while many liberals on this board present thoughtful, cogent arguments in support of their viewpoints, there are others, like you, who just reel off what you think are clever comments but really are quite hateful and contain zero substance.  And contrary to what you believe, conservatives aren't unhappy people in the least.
Please answer how the GOP are obstructionists and the party of no when the dems control both houses and the oval office?  Dems can't even pass legislation when they are in charge.  How is the GOP suppose to be the problem?  Your party is so diluted by your own egos that you can't see you are standing in your own way.  Think of the GOP in '05.
Is Obama a racist because he only went to the black parts that were hit by hurricane Katrina?????
It is also reported that the Baucus HCR bill will make it to where 94% are covered.  That leaves 20 mill still without health care.  So we are about to be taxed into refrigerator boxes under overpasses to only cover half the people without insurance now?  Please tell me this is a joke.

You like to state the number of people who die without health insurance.  How many die with health insurance?  What does this arbitrary number you spout prove?  It is a useless line to try and persuade through fear which is something you rail against every day.  Insurance only helps you pay for medical care it doesn't save your life.  So if you want to spew crap at least make it useful.
sam hill chambersburg pa.:

One more thing Sam. On September 12, 2001 a prominate soft ware company that I held a contract with to install and support Eletronic Medical Records, Dismissed the entire technical support department.

Those jobs moved to India. How about that, the day after Spetember 11th. I received the remainder of my financial countractual agreement.

Many other’s that were permanetly employed with the company didn’t.

Sam you'd better run and hide over at Fox, Anita will eat you for lunch, you don't stand a chance against her. But the idiots over at Fox forum will believe you.

Alabama has its issues as well. Blue Cross is the leading Insurance Company in the State of Alabama. Blue Cross got it’s start with Dr. Ben Carraway (I happen to know this to be fact). Blue Cross’s insurance is extremely expensive and United Health Care isn’t any better.

There are many that are uninsured in this state as well and it’s due to the cost of heath care and yes, many are dying as well, due to lack of care.

The Black belt area in Alabama have more people on Medicaid that should be and fewer doctors will treat those patients.

Racism isn't an opinion.  It is a hate crime, and federally it is illegal.  We don't have to tolerate it, and quite frankly, it seems odd to watch people defend it.
