NRSC calls on Obama to list donors

From NBC's Mark Murray
In advance of President Obama's fundraiser for Sen. Chris Dodd (D) later today, the National Republican Senatorial Committee is calling on Obama and Dodd to release the list of donors who will be attending the fundraising event.

"As you know, Obama made two key promises as a candidate -- transparency and that he wouldn’t take lobbyist money or attend a fundraiser where lobbyists were donating money," NRSC spokesman Brian Walsh emails First Read. "So seems to us that they shouldn’t have any objection to releasing the names of those attending today’s fundraiser to make clear he is abiding by those pledges."

When we asked Walsh if Obama and Dodd oblige, would the NRSC begin releasing their own lists, as well as ban lobbyist money like Obama does, he replied: "We’ve made no such pledge/promise on the lobbyist money front, and neither has the DSCC for that matter. In contrast, Obama has said repeatedly that not only would he not accept lobbyist money but that he wouldn’t attend fundraisers where lobbyists were giving money."

The good thing about Chuck Todd having to shave his goatee is that he won't look like "Murray" from flight of the Conchords any more.

Think the banks execs and lobbyists will show up at the Dodd fundraiser? The place will be crawling with them. Those execs and lobby types pay a few million in donations and get billions in return. Sure, they also have to let Obama "beat them up" in the press a little, but that's done with a wink and a nod from the boy that would be President too. Just keep the campaign money coming, right Obie?
Think Obama will say "Gonna" again? They must teach him to talk that way at Harvard.
"So seems to us that they shouldn’t have any objection to releasing the names of those attending today’s fundraiser to make clear he is abiding by those pledges."

Except for the right of privacy to those donors that are legitimate. Which I would assume is all of them.
The bank (and insurance, and union, and lawyer) lobbyists will carry Obama in on their shoulders. Barry is the greatest friend that they have ever had.
When we asked Walsh if Obama and Dodd oblige, would the NRSC begin releasing their own lists, as well as ban lobbyist money like Obama does, he replied: "We’ve made no such pledge/promise on the lobbyist money front, and neither has the DSCC for that matter.

Translation:  We just want to make sure the other guys stick to their promise to reform.  We have no interests in or working on campaign reform or getting rid of bribes and special interests in Washington.

And they call Dems crooks.
SO... Is he a man of his word?

Lets Find Out!
Dodd will be like Harry Reid in about a year. Extinct!

Daley and his Crook County Regular Democratic Organization have been doing a great job keeping the GOP out of Chicago and Crook County for over 80 years.

Give them a call.

Yeah, they're soooo pleased with him after he slashed executive pay at bailed out companies (you know, banks and insurance firms)

Do you even think before you post?

Dolt!

---------------------------------------------

The thing is, if the names were released the G-No-P would jump all over the list with their own, unique, twisted game of "Connect The Dots" so that they would make they could claim President Obama lied.
He said he wouldn't do those things when he was campaigning for POTUS.

Not that he is POTUS, those things no longer apply.
They were just Campaign Promises - kind of like when the High School Quarterback promises pizza for lunch every day and no homework when he runs for class president - Only the really stupid people believe him.

Like the people on this blog that believe what he says - stupid you are!
Yes, I am talking about you Nashville, Inbred Red, Anita...

Now, Nashville will try to tell everyone that Obama never said that - kind of like he keeps saying that Obama never promised unemployment wont go over 8% - even though every news agency in the world has admitted that he AND his cabinet said it!

Who on this blog actually believes that Obamacare will reduce healthcare expenses (not even including the massive tax increases and fines)?

And why does Obamacare start taxing the first day its gets passed - but, the benefits (aka healthcare) dont begin for over 4 years.

Taking that math to its end - if 40,000 people are dying every year because they dont have healthcare - Why is Obama dooming 160,000 Americans to their death (40,000 per year times 4 years)

Obama Lies - 160,000 americans Die

If its a emergency to pass healthcare reform - why does it not start the day its passed? - Why are we waiting over 4 years to start saving lives?
Except for the right of privacy to those donors that are legitimate. Which I would assume is all of them.

Excuse me??? All donors names are considered public information...my you guys ARE SO busy protecting the president that you lose all focus.

And Feisty please just shut up already....you are so tiring with your idiotic ramblings
Maybe Obama can tell the people at the fundraiser how he created 4 million jobs since taking office.

There is NO right to privacy when you are donating to a SENATORIAL (Public) campaign. If he doesn't have sh!t to hide then release it. Everyone including you know that Dodd is as phoney and crooked as the next politician.

WhenTF are you all going to learn they are POLITICIANS. All POLITICIANS will do and say anything to benefit themselves.
Do NOT do any business with any of the businesses that were bailed out .... GM, Chrysler, AIG, Bank of America, etc. Not a financially healthy thing to do since they are under the gov's thumb.

I knew that Obama wouldn't be expected to live by other people's rules, but I'd thought he might at least follow his own.

I agree with you.  And Obie agrees with you, too.  Most of the recent fleet cars and hybrids that the administration bought are FORD.  So the governemnet won't even buy from the government.  And I bet their personal cars are all foreign.
Interesting that Mo always answers conservative bloggers with an assumption, along with some name-calling. And that's it.

This dweeb is as close to an Earnest T. Bass clone as one can get. Next he'll be throwing rocks cause he lost his precious Roweena ... again.
