And there you have it… straight out of the mouth of King Bush!

The GEENOPEE is in DIRE need of updating their ‘playbook’ cause that trains gone & left the station. ‘Thinking’ Americans are catching on to the Republican’ts rhetoric!

And don’t even get me started on the propaganda parade that comes out of Faux Noise & Lord Limpballs!

Here’s another doozey from yesterday; "I am confident that I made decisions based on principle, that I made calls as best I could, and I did not sell my soul," Bush told an audience of about 1,000 men and women...

Of course that would imply he has a ‘soul’! Hard to sell something you don’t OWN!

What in the world is going on around here FR Crew?  We know you were short staffed – but geeze!  You should be up & running more smoothly by now.  Its okay you still do a damn fine job and I for one appreciate the opportunity participate in the ‘group therapy’!

Happy Weekend one and all!

Ps:  Nojo – how’s the grandbaby?

PPs: Leon, Cindy, Eric, Gail – drop by & let us know how you’re doing!

Gotcha Gregory HAS GOT TO GO…

Oh and if the lefties haven’t done so already… make sure to get your WHINE FLU shot! Something tells me we’re going to be needed it next week around here…  lol lol lol

Gotta go… the popcorn’s done!  :0)
How many White House Czars does it take to change a lightbulb? None! They'd just soon blame Bush and remain in the dark.
What a beautiful baby boy!  Congrats again to you & your wife Domenico!

And Chuck... SOOOOO when are we going to get to see that 'baby' face?
And look for the next week to be another real bummer for the democrats again with more declining polling numbers and their pending defeats in the upcoming elections.
Eating Feisty Redheaded popcorn all by myself.

"Dr." Jill Biden has a doctorate in Education. That means she knows how to indoctrinate little crumb munchers to liberal standards. FR of course wants you think she's a for real medical doctor.

Well, if the shoe fits......and it sure as Hell does!! Who got us into this mess?  The Imperial BushCo Presidency!! PERIOD!!
Domenico, what a sweet baby boy.  I was hoping you'd share pictures.  Congratulations again.

Looks like a busy week ahead.  I doubt my later comments made it but having read First Thoughts, etc posts, I decided that 6 or 7 right wing regulars cloned themselves--the posts were the same kind of rants, same slant, same language and same topics.

Anyone else notice that the closer democrats get to passing health care legislation, the louder and shriller the right wing analysts, congressional members and FR posters become?  Instead of real ideas or debate, they simply TURN UP THE VOLUME.

Collins, Westchester, IL -- hate to break the news but Bush had 46 czars but only 36 czar slots which means it took 10 extra to get the work of 36 done; Obama has 32, his czars must be smarter.  Sorry, couldn't resist.

Enjoy the weekend everyone.  Go Hawkeyes!
Jack is just beautiful. Thanks so much for the photo Domenico. And again, congratulations and best wishes to you and your wife.
Congrats to Jack and his folks!

Have a great weekend everybody - I am hoping to feel better by Monday.  njnbnj, we are all pulling for you, hurry back with good news.

This is the kind of story that always flies under the corporate media radar because, it seems, they really don't want the public to know how dirty and devious the Republican Party has become:

http://thinkprogress.org/2009/10/23/georgia-republicans-send-census/

The Georgia Republicans (the dirtiest of the dirty, except for South Carolina Republicans) have sent out a bogus "census" document marked "Not Destroy, Official Document” that's really a push poll asking the burning question: "How much does it concern you that the Democrats have total control of the federal government?"

This is just par for the course for what's left of a once-great political party.
Who or WHAT is HRC ????   It's having a birthday and a
new addition to the family ??

Congratulations...who or whatever you are !
Oh shoot!!!! I just saw the video where Chuck is not going to allow Robert Gibbs to shave his goatee. Chuck is instead going to donate $1,000 to both his and Tapper's charity. Which, of course is terrific.

But, geez Chuck - Robert Gibbs giving you a shave? On the White House lawn? Live? That would have been awesome!!!

And to think WE ALL rooted for the Phillies just so we could see Gibbs in action. Oh well.

How about a World Series bet?

The joke wasn't funny the first 50 times you told it.  What makes you think it changed the 51st time?

By the way, anybody still harping about "Czars" should read this...

Ps:  Clara - hope you feel better... I've been battling a nasty sinus infection all week myself!  Maybe that's why I've been 'feistier' than ususal!  :0)

Still think it's a good idea to get the WHINE FLU shot!

Something about an ounce of prevention...?

My question is:

Did Fox News win the right for just itself to lie and distort, or did they win it for all media?  Whether Fox News was responsible or not it seems that most of the media has its uses for it.

(As usual, Nashville's link is more one sided than Fox News)

Thanks for the link on the Czars, Pete Albany. It seems to suggest that "Harpers de la Czars" is a bi-partisan media creation to stick it to presidents of both parties.

What's good for the elephant is good for the donkey.

All presidents have to have the ability to say:

"I created a job."
"How much does it concern you that the Democrats have total control of the federal government?"

This is a very fair question.  It expresses the same concern Democrats had when they said that Republicans in total control was dangerous.

What's good for the elephant is good for the donkey.

I heard the next reality series is going to be "Dancing with the Czars".
Everybody else must be on their way home from work.
Obama has time to run all over the country campaigning for candidates, raising money for democrats and giving campaign style speeches about his healthcare and cap and trade.  I'm missing something, oh, now I know, he can't make a decision about the request for more troops from Gen McChrystal, the man he picked to run the war in Afghanistan.  Make the damn decision Mr. President.
Just because someone has had breast cancer is no reason to make the insurance companies insure them. Why should my premiums go up so your mom, daughter or grandma is covered?

About the use of the word "transparency" in relation to government.

If something is transparent, you can't really see it.  In fact you can see right through it.

I used to think it was not that approriate of a word to use for politicians, thinking that for the most part, they aren't transparent.

Over the past 8 months of so, my perspective is changing.  It's actually pretty easy to see through them.
a dear teacher friend of mine from houston passed on this past week. the cancer finally claimed her. the crying shame in a country this wealthy was that she had insurance she just couldn't afford the co pays and deductibles to see any drs. and they didn/t cut any breaqks. it was heartbreaking to see the last days
Too late, but one more question:

Can someone explain how the Republicans can delay anything without Democrat help?

Thank you.
fascism
Definition: dictatorial movement: any movement, ideology, or attitude that favors dictatorial government, centralized control of private enterprise, repression of all opposition, and extreme nationalism
Merriam Webster: a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition

Hmmm, strong central government, suppression of opposition, control of private enterprise...sound familiar? Anyone, anyone?
oh john jenson, spoken like a true republican,

as one fighting this dread disease and cannot afford copays and deductibles to evne treat it, I wish this agony upon you sir!
Obie and the boys caught in another lie, nothing unusual though just keep telling lies and blaming Bush or Joe the plumber and those radical and dangerous tea baggers

DOMENICO...what a cute baby. He looks like he's giving everybody a casual wave in that picture!!

The MEDIA came up with the "czar" term...during the Bush Administration, using it to mean "leader, or manager, or overseer"...and Bush had more czars than Obama.

this is not intended for readers...i would like it to be read by someone accountable for this blog.

this is the only blog i read regularly for almost a year and i read every post.  now i come back once or twice a month just to see if there is anything worthwhile to read...and hey, i ate my lunch with you every day, it's hard to break those habits.  each time i become more disheartened and sickened by the level of discourse.  i think this may happen to a lot of blogs over time...saw the same thing at a previous blog i had enjoyed before finding first read.  but i thought you guys were more professional than to provide a forum for all this hate.  don't know if i'll ever be back but wanted to add my voice on the way out.  i have also stopped watching meet the press.

would you pass along to whoever collect statistics, opinions on programing for nbc/msnbc news shows:
i don't think gregory is as biased as some of the bloggers claim but perhaps he just isn't up to the job. whatever the ressons he misses the mark by a long shot.  chuck todd seems way too full of himself lately.  his charm resided in his grasp of the statistics but this new personna comes off as cocky.  even keith who i looove seems a little too out there lately.  and who am i?  just one of your hardcore msnbc viewers who is sad to see your organization taking the low road as the antifox network.  i'd like to think most of us are looking for a progressive newsource with a little humor, debate etc.  i thought you had this at one time but the network is losing its keen edge.  i find that david shuster, lawrence odonnell, rachel, angela mitchell hit the right tone.  and i still enjoy hardball and countdown immensely and concede that you need to keep  scarbrough and mika on to balance the coverage.  i like ed too but wish he would try making his points without all the yelling. hope you are able to reclaim your authority as a progressive operation.  it's hard watching you become a parody.
Feisty Red head Do you know how many zars Bush had during his administration. for they it looks you don;t have any idea. Bush had 4 voer the Obama administration. while Bush neglected our nation he invested 1.3 trillion dollars to try to take over the oil in Iraq. wake up feisty
Richard Washington: During the Bush administration there were 4 that could not find a partner to dance with. at least during this administration our zars can dance happily. Should get your information right before you say some fullish words.

my question,

I'm from New Jersey and I think the best hope for my state is the independent gubernatorial candidate.  As more and more American become fed up with both the democratic and republican parties, and look to moderate independents for leadership, how do you see that changing the roles of parties in congress and in state governments?
