From NBC's Mark Murray
First Read has confirmed that former Vice President Dick Cheney will back Texas Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R) in her gubernatorial primary against incumbent Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R), according to her campaign.

Cheney is set to appear at a fundraiser and campaign event in Houston for Hutchison on Nov. 17.

Per the AP: "The former vice president is popular with conservative activists and could help Hutchison bolster support among them."

Oh, Lord, Perry a shoe in now!!
Too early to Tell, but...

There could be a political schism in Texas as wide at the Grand Canyon...I know, the Grand Canyon is mostly in Arizona.  This may be a fun election to watch!
Can we please drop the Republican and Democrat war and start being identified by our values.

Conservative & Liberal

That's where the rubber meets the road.

More people identify with these two terms truthfully than the party designators. Many republicans are not conservatives.

Obama's war continues, the worst October ever in Afghanistan in number of deaths.

Tick Tock Tick Tock Tick Tock

I'm still thinking now leave me alone or I'll go Chicago style on your rear end.

What to do, What to do......
Cheney endorsing Hutchinson? In virtually any other state, that would be a kiss of death! Perhaps Darth Cheney made that decision because of Perry's cessation talk several months ago. After all, wouldn't cessation mean one less state's eligible soldiers to fight in Iraq? Or work for Haliburton?
At least I would be afraid of Cheney if I had to deal with him, on the other hand, Biden seems like an easy mark for door-to-door salesmen and fly-by-night home improvement scams.
She is my all time favorite poster.

Thank you, Pat; I agree with everything you have said!! I will try my best; I ask the same of others; so far, I haven't seen much of that here.  Very sad!!

And you, Pat, are one of my all-time favorite people!!
Well, I guess I gotta choose the lesser of two evils. Get comfortable  Mr. Perry, you wont be going anywhere!
This smacks of hidden agenda.  I've always considered Hutchinson to be pretty reasonable -- and moderate -- Republican; she was WAY better qualified than Sarah Palin to get the Vice Presidential nomination.  But if Cheeney is for it, then I'm naturally ag'in it.

Maybe Perry is counting on that.
I think Darth Cheney was happy with her support on the whole shotgun blast to the face incident.

Kay, even though you can see Mexico from your porch, I really don't think you want the 'support' of the Darth man.  It will not look good on your resume.
Dick, i never though i would be saying this, but finnally you have made a good decision!!!
Rick Perry is a nut job, dick you a nut job, but you made a good decision, unlike , blasting the president, telling george bush to invade iraq, hallaburton, lying to the SS of state before the invasion of Iraq.
old man potter, please go back to bedford falls and get after George Bailey.
He was right on everything he talks about Im sure hes right now you can count on it I think the toll is over 4000 wasted lives in iRAQ SO FAR.
tRY AND MAKE IT OBAMMAS WAR ,ARE YOU TIERD OF OWNING IT WITH bush and cheyney

Amen, sister, Amen!
Oh NO!  Literally, the kiss of death!  I thought KayKay would be the lesser of the two evils, but this endorsement has "hints of darkness" - if you know what I mean........holy madness, Batman!
