This isn't going to sit well with many Democrats.

In an interview with ABC, Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-D) -- who campaigned for John McCain in last year's presidential election, and has threatened to help filibuster the health care legislation in the Senate if it contains a public option -- now says he'll campaign for some Republican candidates in the 2010 midterms.

"I probably will support some Republican candidates for Congress or Senate in the election in 2010. I'm going to call them as I see them," Lieberman said.

The 60th vote isn't worth it.
Go for it Joe, you'll find out just how unpopular you really are. That should cost a few Republicans reelection.
so glad he's with the dems on "everything but the war". how much longer will harry reid let lieberman make a fool out of him?
Make it official Joe, join the Republicans. And, welcome aboard!

Stop it! Just stop it!! Harry makes a big enough fool out of himself by himself. He needs no help, from anyone.
This really should be the last straw. He's asking for it, so let's demote him all the way down. Come on CT, how can you support this scoundrel?
What goes around, comes around.

Connecticut has one of the highest per-capita millionaire populations of any state.
2010.......

The date with destiny that many liberals are beginning to dread. Yes, it's coming quickly and the accountability of your insane spending at the urging of Barack Insane Obama will be exercised.

Erase the mistake of Obama/Biden 08!

It begins in 2010!

Next week will possibly be a pre-cursor.

What have I done? How did this happen?
Joe Lieberman is a 'gamer'.  He is hopefully gaming himself completely out of relevancy.  For Many of us Dems, he did that 2 years ago,...it won't be long before he finishes the job.

Wrong,… This wasn’t a ‘photo-op’.  You sad, ignorant people disgust me with your hate.

This article clearly states that W never witnessed a dignified transfer.  Paragraph 13.  I know your side prefers the spoon fed data.  Further, I am not judging W for his decision to not be a witness.  And despite my immense disdain for him, personally, I don’t believe for one second this part of his presidency was easy.  This is heartbreaking for anyone, regardless of party affiliation.

Oh, and here is another jewel today:

Josh Larson, FL (Sent Thursday, October 29, 2009 10:15 AM)
Stick to your normal talking points, Josh.  The only reason we bashed Bush about golfing is that he made it a big public “Opportunity” if you will, saying he didn’t think it was appropriate for Americans to see their Commander in Chief playing golf during war time.  And then, he was photographed playing golf several times after that.  The Democratic Outrage was the hypocrisy of the statement.  President Obama made no such claim or statement.  Just like Obama never said some of the other stuff your side attributes him for saying.  In fact, I know your side has ascribed comments McCain made to Obama’s behavior.  It will NEVER stop with you people.  A thousand cuts a day, no matter how small, petty or insignificant – your bitterness is palpable.  Get Over IT!  The votes were counted, unlike Florida, yeah – I went there!  Be part of the solution, instead of being part of the problem.  It is LIBERATING, you should try it!
^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Remember Liberman be came an Independent when he could not win the democratic primary.  Now he seems to be wondering around Washington just doing what ever he finds profitable for him.

SAD! SAD! SAD!!
All right all you Conn. yankees up there it looks like you need to get busy and take care of this. While I value independence highly I am also honorable enough feel that if I'm given most of my opportunity with one persuasion I not would actively try to thumb my nose at them. Say what you will about conservatives but at least when their bought and paid for they stay bought and don't wander around looking for the next sucker. Old Joe just like some others needs to just fade away into the sunset his act is getting tired.
Leiberman just needs to completely move over to the dark side.  Good riddance to bad rubbish.
Government Run Healthcare is NOT bleeding Massachusetts dry nor will it bleed any other state.  For those of you who do not understand how this happened.....it was Wall Street and their Fantastic Gang of Thieves" with the Derivitives Selling on the Housing Market.  I worked for a State Government.    Usually, when they cut jobs, it means there was not enough work for the huge staff they have on hand, and they downsize to fit the workload.

Please Babs, I live here, I see it. State run health care is a tax raising job killer for my state. You want to bury your head in the sand, be my guest.
As if the tales of 2 tapes where he against the Public Option before he was for it.. or is it the other way around?? Whatever... It's NO secret LeibeRAT is an insurance industry whore!

Throw this RAT to the curb NOW and Harry NEEDS to take his gavel away from him and stick it 'right' up his scrawny a@@!!

Harry Reid should stop pandering to LIEberman. Maybe if the dems worked harder at electing enough real dems instead of supporting this fraud and unabashed shill for the jewish states's point of view on the middle east.

DUMP THE CHUMP

For against Cloture and LOSE YOUR CHAIRMANSHIP

Brought to you by Mitt Romney!  Republican frontronner for president 2012.

Bang up job MA!
All that's being said is Obama ran for the office,
made a whole lot of promises,
and has failed to deliver.

He has knocked 3 strokes off his handicap so I guess if that was a goal he had, he needs to get his props.
You go, Joe!  The majority of Americans do NOT want this new state run health run program..

You can be as angry as you want progressives, demonize whoever you want, however, you do NOT speak for the majority of Americans.  We do NOT want the liberal Agenda of social transformation.   Sorry!

BTW..Thought we were gonna change the culture of Washington?  Hmmmm.  Liars.
what an ungratefull windbag !!!
Joe Lieberman - TURNCOAT - Opportunist!
Happy Halloween to the masses, pass the corn will ya.Please grab a cold one and relax,What Old Joe is up to is playing the game.He saw Harry and Nance getting air time and felt left out.So he decided to go Rouge and make some noise and get some Attention, nothing more.Joe like his perch at HLS,he has power, and after money what else are these people there for.Joe will vote to allow this to go to the floor, and he will vote no then, and no one will care because the dems have the 50 votes they need. It's all about TV time to these people.Must not have had enough hugs when they where kids, and they need the attention.
Specter, Leiberman- whatever.
Has anyone noticed a particualr 'sameness' about these two?  Old, White, worn-out, proffessional politicians.
Wonder if a guy could broker a 3-way between them and another worn-out has-been from, say, Alaska?
Just wondering.....
It takes no genius to see that they shouldn't trust him, either.

FR ~ Why don't you dig out the audio from Lieberman's 2006 Senate campaign when he promised Connecticut voters that he would support health care reform that would take care of 95 percent of the currently uninsured population.  I heard this on Air America last night, and it's pretty clear that he's supporting some sort of public option, or even single-payer.  It would be highly relevant to the current situation, don't you think?
Love that Joe.  We need more leaders like him.  Can't wait to make a donation to his next campaign.

Some who speak of hate, fail to recognize the inner lining of hate that exists in their communication to those who do not agree with them.

This is a well know fact and is displayed here daily as you read the posts littered with anger, hate and jealousy. See it for what it really is.

Those who fail to see always tend to say it's not me, it's them. See a connection?
Obama has done NOTHING.
He hasn't fixed the economy:
He hasn't fixed healthcare:
He hasn't closed GITMO
He hasn't gotten us out of Iraq or Afghanistan
...in fact NOTH places are worse off than they were when he took office.
He hasn't improved the things he said he would improve:
And finally, he hasn't changed any of the things he said he would change.
His Presidency is as WORTHLESS as a mini-skirt on an elephant.
I'm tired of being lied to, I'm tired being cheated out of my money, and I'm SICK & TIRED of being made to feel like there's something wrong with me for not liking these things.
OMG - why can't he be forced to change his political affiliation?

Really - he knows most of his constituents are Democrats - so he change his political title to gain their support when he was about to loose his election.

He is more Republican than - Olympia Snow and don't give a damn who knows it.

Blatant in your face - I dare you to do something, type BS.

He needs to be dealt with - Harry Reid - please do something.

Thank you and GOD BLESS AMERICA

The polls I have read say otherwise. It seems that some on the right think something is so because they say it is so and for no other reason. Of course we are to believe it because they said it. How stupid do they think people are?

PT Barnum believed there is a sucker born every minute. And he may have been right but eventually the show has to change because people find out about the ruse and start spreading the word that the display or whatever is fake. The GeeNOpee ruse has been discovered and we will see who believes their lies and who doesn't.

LIEberman should be toast but he won't. Reid will kiss his Zionest arse for the cloture vote. After that maybe Harry will dump ol' Joe and let him become a sure to lose Republican. Lieberman needs to change his name to Arnold, as in Benedict Arnold.
You libs are hypocrits.  This is the SAME GUY you touted as your mainstream in 2000 with your best buddy Al-bie Gorey!?!  And you have the nads to complain about Palin... even AFTER the election is over.

Hmmm -- maybe the Demoflip-flop party isn't so steady-at-the-stearn as you would like others to think you are.  Pot -- meet Kettle...

Be honest, eagle -- most Americans (according to the polls) want HCR -- that doesn't mean the plans on the table (i.e. the state-run programs) have majority support.

Keep the apples with the apples... the oranges with the oranges... match the colors of the fruit, if it helps...
He will get whats coming to him.. Its time DEMS, Take his Chairmanship... Its time.. enough is enough.
You can have Liberal without the words LIE and LIAR.

Shoe fits, throw it, at yourself! lol

BHO wears it nicely I must say! lol
Holy Joe ought to look at his beloved Israeli health care system. The Dr's are private, the insurance co's are non-profit and everyone is covered. Similar to France and Germany.

We give them $3 bil a yr you figure we ought to learn a thing or two from them.
What is going to take for Harry Reid to finally do something to get rid of this traitor in their midst?  I think something is psychologically imbalanced with Joe Lieberman!  He says that he wanted to stay in the Democratic caucus, and then on the most critical issue of importance to Democrats, he announces he might join a Republican filibuster.  He has back-stabbed the Democratic party on countless occasions.  He is a mole in the Democrats midst!  He lied to the people of Connecticut when he ran for re-election in 2006 when he said he was a good Democrat.  Reid and the Senate leadership needs to throw this bum out of the caucus, now!
I can't believe all the contempt for Joe.  Perhaps if the Dems (including then-Sen Obama) hadn't turned their back on Lieberman, things may have been different
Leiberman has Backpfeifengesicht

German compound word for a 'face that should be slapped'

LOL...anyone else catch the "Arlen S"....screw you Lieberman....you're on the wrong side of the wave...
Time to cut the rope with this dope....
I don't have the time or patience to put the effort necessary into encapsulating my loathing for Lieberman into legible form, but as a resident of Connecticut, let me tell you that the liberal community of this state did EVERYTHING we could to knock off Joe. I myself volunteered full time, and for many CT young progressives, it came to be our 'Bobby' campaign, one which would come to define us politically. Remember, we wom the Democratic primary against him with Ned Lamont, an ideal progressive candidate, and it was only Lieberman's absolute willingness to lie abount any and everything, at all times, in all places, which got him re-elected. There will be a war here when he's up again in 2012.

Seriously, a state 'full of millionaires'? Are you kidding? Highest per capita of a population like that means there are are several thousand of them, not a plurality of the state. There's plenty of rural and poor in, it's not all Stamford. C'mon....
According to the polls, the American people want a public option in this health reform legislation.   Mr. Leiberman's vote is important to give the option an up or down vote in the Senate.  So, Mr. Leiberman has a choice to make and must of course bear responsibility for his decision.

This legislation has been argued and reargued, represented nd misrepresented, in every public forum available, more fully than any other single legislative enactment in recent memory.

Given all of the arguments made, the nation as a whole still favors this option in some form.  The people deserve an honest up or down vote.  I would hope that Mr. Leiberman would put the people before his ideology, and make way for that vote to take place.

I expect the people of Connecticutt would appreciate that bit of legislative statesmanship from their representative, whether as a whole they favor the option or not.

There is nothing then that would prevent him from voting his concience when the health care legislation itself comes before the Senate.
Ummm, Kathy?  Generally when intelligent people say that the letters are actually in some order. Like "lie" in Lieberman.  See how that works?  But, it sounds like you are two.  Grow up.  I am interested to hear from Conn voters about why Lieberman is still in office?  And if you voted for him, do you plan on voting for him again?
If Joe L. means to support some of the GOP cantidates then there must be a very good and sound reason for his doing so.  He may or may not discuss the reasons for such a decision but we can still ask why, and if the reasons are sound and not politicized as traitorous or some such thing then maybe the rest of us need to start taking a real good hard look as well and start asking questions of our own.  Joe seems like a fairly decent person so calling him names is nothing but spite on the part of the name callers.  He said that he calls them as he see's them well so do the rest of us.
Is this guy for real?  They need to give him the boot and let his idols the GOP deal with him  Maybe him and Palin will run on the same ticket.  "Say it ain't so,JOE"
Paul, Okemos, MI: What is going to take for Harry Reid to finally do something to get rid of this traitor in their midst?

Who you talking about? Arlen?
Its past time to ditch liberwuss over board and let him go to the GOP, he's nothing less than a back stabbing gutter rat.
