DSCC chair all but endorses Fisher

From NBC's Mark Murray
In an interview on MSNBC with my colleague Chuck Todd, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Chairman Bob Menendez all but endorsed Ohio Lt. Gov. Lee Fisher over Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner in Ohio's Senate Democratic primary.

When Chuck asked Menendez about key Senate pick-up opportunities for Democrats next year, the chairman singled out Ohio and Fisher. But he barely referred to Brunner, and didn't even mention her by name.

When Chuck followed up and mentioned Brunner's name, Menendez responded that she has just over $100,000 cash on hand. By comparison, Fisher has nearly $1.6 million cash on hand.

The Fisher-Brunner winner will likely face former Ohio Rep. (and former Bush OMB Director) Rob Portman in the general election next year.

Another slam dunk for the Republicans next year in Ohio. How'd all the Stimulus money help you out Ohio? Turn your job situation around did it? No? No kidding? Nothing? Oh, and by the way, you're also on the hook for paying that Stimulus money back to the Chinese, so lets get some more taxes piled on you to pay that loan back.
Off subject, but it seems The Washington Independent did some research and found that 95% of campaign contributions to Doug Hoffman, the Conservative Party Golden Boy who can't even vote for himself because he doesn't live in NY-23, came from outside the district.

There you go, NY-23 residents...do you want a candidate from outside the district and paid for by contributors outside the district who considers your issues "parochial"?
Reality is hitting the liberals like a bucket of cold water on the town drunk.

Missed their recent election, did you?
Fisher? Isn't that a relative of the weasel? Both have beady eyes.

To date the stimulus has created over 17,000 jobs. Things are getting slightly better here as many companies are starting to bring laid-off workers back. In central Ohio both Fisher and Brunner are better liked than Portman. I’m sure in southern and eastern Ohio Portman is better liked. I have no idea about northern Ohio.

Pile that 787 billion on top of the 10 trillion that Reagan, Bush, and W. Bush created in debt.

Fact: the chinese bought more debt from GWB than any of the other presidents combined.
Why won't Obama use the superpowers that were given to him on election day....when is he going to wave that wand and get everything done NOW.
Arlean Smith

Obama is using those powers bestowed upon him by the Creator, but all of them are dedicated to help Obie to quit smoking. There are none left over for us mere mortals.

U.S. hopes for a civilized Iraq are shattered when Iraqi forces unleash a devastating gas attack in the town of Halabja, killing an estimated 5,000 Kurds.
Richard Murphy, the State Department's top Middle East diplomat for most of the 1980s, told FRONTLINE in 1990 that after the attack at Halabja, the U.S. expressed its dismay at Iraq's use of chemical weapons. He recalled that Secretary of State George Schultz persuaded the Iraqis

5,000 Kurds would disagree.

I'm not Feisty but my premium was raised recently. Why? Because I turned 60. No health issues at all but I am getting too darn old.

_______________

Precisely Elise!  Just like the auto insurance company you’ve been with for 10 – 20 -30 years (and NEVER had an accident) dropping your coverage because their ‘computer’ spits out that you’re due to have one…

My husband’s parents were with Allstate for almost 50 years – NEVER filed a claim and then were dropped for that very reason (that’s if you want to call that a valid reason)!
Dennis, Columbus, Ohio: To date the stimulus has created over 17,000 jobs.

Ohio's unemployment rate was 10.1 percent in September, down from 10.8 percent in August, according to data released this morning by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. Ohio's nonfarm wage and salary employment decreased 5,900 over the month, from 5,103,100 in August to 5,097,200 in September.

"Ohio's unemployment rate declined in September as more Ohioans dropped out of the labor force," ODJFS Director Douglas Lumpkin said. "The service-providing and goods-producing sectors continued to show losses as well."

The ignorance and inanity of commenters on this site -- regardless of partisan affiliation -- is shocking.

How is it possible to be so consistently and simultaneously off-topic, off-base and off-putting?
It's a primary, not the general. The base prefers Brunner.

zeke

So you're telling us it's a general primary. And the base may prefer Brunner, but does Brunner prefer the base?
Fisher? Isn't that a relative of the weasel? Both have beady eyes.
License to Kill Gophers

Where'd you get that license? From the Government of the United Nations by chance?
To Brian B, Cleveland OH: I agree with you 100%. I think we have a dumbing down of America when I read some of these posts.

I never said there was a net increase in employment.
I responded to the stimulus statement and responded that it created 17,000 jobs.
17,000 jobs is not many when 500,000 in Ohio are out of work.

Sounds like you had a knee-jerk reaction to my post. Things are not as bad as they were a few months ago (at least in central Ohio) people are spending a little more than they were. At least this is true at my business and several other business owners I deal with.
We are owned by China and we didn't get in that situation because of Obama.

The Obama Creed. Just recite the following over and over: "Things are better. Things are better. Things are better."
