At Christie HQ...

From NBC's Shawna Thomas
The party is about to get started at the Christie headquarters with the B Street Band, who bill themselves as the original Bruce Springsteen cover band, warming up the crowd of journalists.

Outside the ballroom, the Christie campaign has surrogates hitting the main theme of the campaign. New Jersey State Sen. Tom Kean Jr. repeated that Christie has a plan to lower taxes and Corzine and Daggett do not. He also predicted a three-point win for the former U.S. Attorney.

Christie measuring for new drapes in the statehouse yet? Or will he be kind and wait another 30 minutes or so?
MSNBC & FIRST READ, I have just changed to CNN.  You now have six threads up with goose eggs in the comment sections. You have continued to disrespect your audience here. You post thread after thread and refuse to post any comments.  You are last in cable news for a reason, you report no news on weekends, and play non-stop re-runs of lock up, while other stations that are news stations actually report news. Now what a concept.
don't consider Virginia to be any type of referendum on President Obama; Obama was the first president in 44 years to win Virginia; it's a republican state!! However, if the democrats lose in New Jersey, a democratic state, I will consider it a referendum on President Obama and a Democratic Congress who cannot stand tall, stand up for themselves and tell the repubs to STHU!! The rethugs have offered nothing; they set out to deny President Obama and this Democratic Congress ANY accomplishment; however, the democrats and President Obama have played along so well in the bright red GOP sandbox!!
There you go, President Obama, just ignore it; that will make it go away, you show those repubs, especially the ones in Virginia that swept the state!! President Cool has gone from beyond getting on my nerves to absolutely infuriating me!! And maybe while watching the Bulls game, Obama can think about what the heck he’s doing in Afghanistan, or is that asking too much?!?!

Let's move that table over there, by those boxes. Just when is Jon going to get those boxes out of here anyway?
Call me fat will he ... Hey Jon, you're a big fat loser, that's what you are! Big, fat, bald loser!!
Pam,

Where was your frustration with the republicans that created this war and economic mess? You mentioned your frustration in your post. I am frustrated with voters like yourself who seem to forget history. President Obama has had meetings almost everyday about afghan. What more do you want? Do you expect him to raise his magic wand and make everything okay after it took 8 years to destroy the economy and create two wars. Think logically before making irrational comments.

First, I'm a lifetime democrat who has always voted democratic, to include President Obama.

Moving on, I expect him to bring the troops home, instead, he signed a bill to pay the Taliban to come over to our side - like that will ever happen; ask the Russians!!

Next, I want the troops home; we cannot win; Al-Qaeda is no longer there and I am NOT willing to see one more American die policing a country!!

Finally, I do NOT expect President Obama to continue to authorize the CIA to continue payments to Ahmed Wali Karzai, the brother of the Afghan president!! I expected this from Dumbya, which he did for eight years; I did NOT expect Obama to continue this!!

Obama is failing us; he's failing those who voted for him; he's failing the men and women stuck in Afghanistan while he ponders what to do; he already knows what to do!! He knows he needs to bring them home; he's sitting around while more men and women die every day!!

I'm just speechless at Pam and voter's defeatism and shortsightedness.  Guess I shouldn't be as they both voted for Obama, who thinks like them.
This just means that people who need help won't be getting it because Christie is going to cut programs that help people; he'll cut state workers that actually do something and not pay into the pension that is required by contract.  How will he pay for anything when those that are making the money don't have to pay their taxes?  That is the usual REPUBLICAN STUPIDITY OF BORROW AND SPEND.  I hope Christie realizes that this isn't the federal government that can borrow as much as it needs.  NJ is required to have a balanced budget.  I am looking forward to more potholes in the roads and more people needing help not getting it.  Charities aren't going to be able to do anything more (likely less) because those that can give won't.
