What does all this armchair prognostication that the media loves to engage in after an election really accomplish? How about just to polarize the country some more between the two camps.
Chuck, Why does the whitehouse lie about the jobs created. Certsinly a pay raise can't be counted as a job saved can it? Where is the logic in that?
I think Tuesday's election results have been over-analyzed to death.  When is the WH going to address the number one issue for Americans, which is JOBS and the economy?
For republicans, I know a win in NY23 would have been the preference. But, isn't this accidentally a better outcome for them. Instead of a slightly befuddled looking candidate whom they would've had to support in the regular election, who would have been trounced AND instead of a republican (who seems like more of a democrat than me...and I'm a real democrat), who they really could not have challenged, also...now they have a democrat they can work to unseat with someone more appropriate.
Chuck:

It appears that some of the GOP resurgence has a lot to do with the "timidity" of the administration to exert its power.  It's time for the President to stop playing "compromiser in chief" and push the agenda he was elected to execute. A majority in both houses and no action is inexcusable. Any comments.

Chuck- if we have a 'represetative' form of government, and the MAJORITY of us want public option, how is getting our representatives in DC to produce it for us WRONG??
Who's freedom is being usurped by who, here?
Does the latest version of the Health Care Reform Bill still include a public option?
Why is it that representatives in Congress can become part of protests that brag on overthrowing our government with violence.   Shouldn't a representative have some responsibilities in reprsentating their office of the people with respect and proper decorum?

Can the Spkr of the House take any actions against these representatives?
Chuck,

Obama, Pelosi and Reid are hard core dems/socialists. The above claim that the WH is not taking a hard stand because Obama wants to be the "compromiser in chief" is bunk right? The reason cap & Trade, Healthcare are moving very slowly is that Obama and the congress leaders cannot guarantee the support of the so called "blue dogs'. Everyday working behind the scene, the dem leadership is trying to come up with the right bribe to get bluedogs to commit political suicide and vote for these bills. The Tuesday elections have given the blue dogs another reason to pause and they invision themselves walking the plank for Reid,Pelosi and Obama if they vote for HCR and C&T. If the blue dogs can be enticed Obama and company will immediately jump into their steamroller and crush the repubs. This is the real situation.Don't forget these are politicians not regular people!
